| Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | Problem A. The Control Panel bar was apparently showing up for everyone. Now it will only show up for people level 40+. The cause of the problem was that the script was trying to use a variable that did not, technically, exist. Problem B. This problem concerns user restoration and is in three parts: - The first part is the simplest. Banning a user was not putting them into the banned users list. The problem was a faulty MySQL query, which has been fixed. - The second part is more complicated. Whenever a user was restored to the level they should have been according to experience, that wouldn't actually happen. Instead they were made Special (level 40). Now, they might be special, in some undetectable way, but that wasn't what I wanted to happen. The cause of this problem was equivalent to the cause of Problem A, and when Problem A was resolved, so was this one. Restoring a user will now set them to the proper level. - Speaking of which, you can no longer use the restore user function to demote a moderator or administrator (*coughxpcough*). The reason this was possible before was that the script never checked to see if user restoration was actually lowering your level - but now it does. Now renegade moderators will have to be trickier or find another bug or maybe even give up their vigilante ways. Problem C. Security settings resetting (by moderators) has been re-enabled as a separate function. Previously it was tied into the Log Out button, namely because I'm an idiot and forgot to change the name of the relevant form field. What other bugs are there? |

| Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | Yeah. You weren't supposed to be able to. >_> ___ ~ Ogordemir ~ "The sciences have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age." ~ H.P Lovecraft, The Call of Cthulhu |

| Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | Ogor, you suck, I suspended Kenri on my first idea. Try better next time. (For the record, this wasn't a malicious attack on Kenri, I was legitimately testing your system. I'd bring him back to mod myself, but I well... can't.) --- "After all this time?" - Albus Dumbledore "Always." - Severus Snape |

| Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | I never considered blocking the ability to suspend them. I consider the psychological divide between suspension and demotion to be wide enough that they wouldn't, uh, feel the same, and you would elect to not suspend him. Also I don't think you can suspend administrators, so any coup would be more easily reversible. Besides, suspending a moderator could possibly be legitimate, so preventing that from happening would be overkill. | Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | Muwahahahahaha! I AM UNSTOPPABLE! >_> As an aside, the suspending part is only to get around the fact that the Restore button doesn't lower levels anymore. By suspending someone, that problem is removed. It's just a step in the process, though I suppose I could stop it there if I were really cruel. --- "After all this time?" - Albus Dumbledore "Always." - Severus Snape |

| Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | Oh right. You shouldn't be able to suspend administrators.

| Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | You're going to have to be a bit more specific as to why the much hate. ___ ~ Ogordemir ~ "The sciences have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age." ~ H.P Lovecraft, The Call of Cthulhu |
