In light of TFN's rapid decline from "mostly empty" to "basically empty", you might be wondering if TFN is going to be around next year when it turns 10 (I think). The answer is "probably"! TFN is like Cheers, in that it's always around if and when you need to make a topic no other human will ever read, and it's also not like Cheers, in that no one knows it exists. This has been TFN's only practical role for the last seven or so years of its existence, and really, this was its role from the beginning. I've supported (and made use of) that so far and I don't yet see a reason to stop in the foreseeable future.
Will I continue to work on improving this place? Maybe. I haven't been able to do that the last couple of years for a number of reasons that are just as relevant now as they have been before (including my hatred of computers). But there is still a mountain of things I'd like to do if I ever get around to them. I just probably won't get around to them!
Lastly, to satisfy tradition, I'm not making any changes to the moderation staff this year, because who cares?
