Siteground also provides me with cron jobs, a very important feature that will allow me to get rid of my makeshift workaround for adding experience/karma/whatever.
Since this is a new host and I just moved everything, there may be some errors due to differences in various settings. For example, get_browser() doesn't seem to work, which produces an error on TFN's homepage. Hopefully nothing too disastrous, though. I probably won't work on fixing anything for at least a week.
Over all, you probably won't notice any difference except that the site won't go down every two weeks because of the database issue.

... actually no that didn't work out so well.
Karma has no point, but nothing on this website really has a point. On the other hand, cron can also be used to manage the poll queue and/or do anything else that needs to happen at a regular interval, which is quite handy.
