Apparently there's a law in Illinois that - oh, I stopped listening at that point. Regardless, even if he could withdraw his guilty plea, all that would get him is more trouble, whether or not he's guilty.
And the chance that this guy could think of anything valid given his excuses so far is laughable.
Yeah, I don't think a jury would be inclined to take his word over the police officer's. The recently-revealed tape of his interrogation doesn't help him much: at one point he attempts to claim entrapment, which could have only occurred if he had decided to take the officer up on his offer.
