| Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | How did things swing from polls that put Obama to win in the double digits from yesterday go to Hillary winning by about 6? This is just disappointing and plain sad. --- "What is the greatest threat facing us now? People will say its terrorism. But are there any terrorists in the world who can change the American way of life or our political system? No. Can they knock down a building? Yes. Can they kill somebody? Yes. But can they change us? No. Only we can change ourselves. So what is the great threat we are facing? - Colin Powell |

| Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | Agree with you there, but Obama's brand of politics just seemed different, it pains me to thing that politics as usual could score a victory over it, it just confounds me. --- "What is the greatest threat facing us now? | Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | Damnit. AP and NBC have called NH for Clinton. Score one for the old politics of negativity, attacks, and partisan bickery. --- "What is the greatest threat facing us now? People will say its terrorism. | Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | I'm looking at the results, but I don't know what I'm seeing here. Clinton, first place? Huckabee, not dead last? wtf?! ___ ~ Ogordemir ~ "The sciences have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age." ~ H.P Lovecraft, The Call of Cthulhu |

| Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | ...Hillary won? >_>; Wtf at that. And. Does anyone really know what Obama stands for? I've never actually HEARD of any of his policies. Really, the only thing I've heard about Obama, is "IF YOU DON'T VOTE FOR OBAMA, YOU'RE RACIST!". Seriously >_> <-> Common sense these days is about as common as Gold being hidden inside your ass. - Me. Stupidity is more common than common sense -Me. | Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | The Democrats for the most part have very similar policies as far as I can tell, with only minute differences in how it would be achieved, but Obama has actually shown, or appeared to have shown the ability to unify and bring together people, regardless of political affiliation. Whereas Hillary would be the single best galvanizing instrument for the Republicans, causing a continuation of partisanship. That's really my issue with Hillary, that she is just too polarizing. And it's not really too much her fault, and there really isn't anything she can do to remedy it, so I do feel some sympathy to her for it, but that's just there. We've seen it already, the country can't get anything done with it so polarized, Congress is an utter joke, if anything is to be accomplished, you need some unity, and I feel Obama has the best chance of bringing that. I read that both Hillary and Obama can unify people, but the difference is that while Obama unifies the country, Hillary unifies the Republicans, it strikes a bit too true for me. --- "What is the greatest threat facing us now? | Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | Well it appears Kucinich has asked for a recount. If it turns out NH was screwed up in some way, that could have a very loud effect on other primaries. ___ ~ Ogordemir ~ "The sciences have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age." ~ H.P Lovecraft, The Call of Cthulhu Message last edited by Ogordemir99 on 1/10/2008 at 11:35:41 PM |

| Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | Doubt anything comes up because of it, and if something did, I can just imagine the whining done by the campaigns who have their places taken from them, the victim card would be flying everywhere, despite how stupid that'd be. --- "What is the greatest threat facing us now?
