What if you're a poor Ethiopian child and you don't have access to electricity and have never heard of Earthbound and also your parents were just eaten by lions and your sister had Ebola which you only discovered after you finished eating her corpse because you're all starving and the village thought she would be the tastiest?

I've tried playing through Earthbound twice.

The first time I think I died repeatedly to the first real boss and proceeded to ragequit.

The second time I got to some sewer level in... I wanna say Fourside and was immediately brutalized by rats. I didn't touch the game after that.

At this point I would have to restart from the very beginning to have any idea wtf was going on. <_<

Given my current backlog and the fact that I don't actually own Earthbound, this is not likely to happen!

If it ever gets rereleased, though, I'll be all over that.

In all seriousness, I can't stand the game because it has too much stupid shit in it and ruins my suspension of disbelief. See, I can accept a bunch of kids going out and saving the world, but the thing that ruins the game for me is fighting skateboarders and grandmothers. That's fucking retarded >_>
