I own an original DS from launch, and the Zelda DS Lite, as well as a PSP-1000, and a 3DS!

DS Phat is the... "affectionate" nickname for the original DS, to follow the naming convention of the DS Lite.

You see, because it was rather bulky for a handheld system.
