| Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | Man, if I had to list a LEAST favorite controller, it'd be the N64's hands down >_> <-> "What the fuck is Alice doing in Wonderland anyway? | Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | N64 was way better than the original Xbox controller. The smaller Xbox controller, not so much. 360 >= PS2 > Everything Else though. --- xp1337: Don't you wish there was a spell-checker that told you when you a word out? |

| Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | Hm, I've actually used a 360 controller, but only to play one of the Halo games, and it was three years ago so I don't remember if I actually liked it. I also don't remember liking the N64 controller all that much, but it represents some sentimental value, so that's why I picked it. I'm like a 40 year-old man reminiscing over the good ole days of the video arcade. ___ ~ Ogordemir ~ "The sciences have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age." ~ H.P Lovecraft, The Call of Cthulhu |

| Level: 37 Advanced | I found the GameCube controller to be the absolute most comfortable (ergonomically designed) controller there is, but not the best in practice. I still think Sony nailed it with the Dual Shock controllers (which is why it would have been horrid if they kept the boomerang for the PS3). --- SIEG ZEON, dood! |

| Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | Aside from a GameGear, I've never played a Sega console. I've also never played a GameCube, or used a Wii, or the original Xbox controller. So from my experiences, I'd rate the controllers as 360 > Playstation series > Xbox S > SNES > NES > N64 <-> "What the fuck is Alice doing in Wonderland anyway? | Level: 43 Editor | "PlayStation series" as one entry is a bit of an issue. I'm fine with the controller for the PS1 because games didn't even use the analogue sticks very much then (didn't the original PS1 controller not even have analogue sticks?). Once the PS2 rolled around, the placement of the left analogue stick became a serious, serious issue. That said, I like the 360's controller (aside from that dpad), the N64 controller (aside from that analogue stick), and the Wii controller (aside from the fact that most developers are complete shit at mapping it in a logical way, even excluding motion controls). --- "There's a pony in the shop, but don't buy it. | Level: 37 Advanced | Indeed. The original PS1 controller didn't have the sticks. It was when they introduced "Dual Shock" the analog sticks were added. --- SIEG ZEON, dood! |

| Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | I don't mind the stick placement, but after using the XboxS and 360, it is. But it's still not quite that bad. The ONLY thing I HATE about the XboxS controller is the placement of the Start/Back and White/Black buttons >_> ...And just to point out. If you don't have a problem with the White and Black buttons, then you have never played San Andreas on the Xbox. I HATE the N64 controller because of the way it's designed. Holding that controller always wound up hurting my hands and shoulders. <-> "What the fuck is Alice doing in Wonderland anyway? | Level: 37 Advanced | I don't like analog at all. PS1 joysticks were pretty good before that and they still are, but i guess that's Sony's issue. SNES all the way. :) --- "But friends, i ask you. | Level: 43 Editor | I HATE the N64 controller because of the way it's designed. Holding that controller always wound up hurting my hands and shoulders. You're not trying to hold all three parts of the controller at the same time, are you? <_< I mean, the N64 controller is hideous and a stupid idea, but I never found it uncomfortable. *shrug* --- "There's a pony in the shop, but don't buy it. | Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | the N64 controller is hideous Oh God yes. Though it does predate the concept of aesthetics in console design.

You're not trying to hold all three parts of the controller at the same time, are you? <_< I've always had broad shoulders, and large hands.
