Cyndaquil goes from cute little fire hedgehog squirrel thing to slightly less cute fire hedgehog squirrel thing to TYPHLOSION, who vaguely resembles a hedgehog-lion hybrid with a MANE OF FIRE and whose name sounds like a NUCLEAR ACCIDENT.
I actually have no idea what animal Cyndaquil etc. is supposed to represent, but whatever it is, it is awesome.

I did this with Venusaur because ugh, Ivysaur. I hate that guy. Unlike Bulbasaur, though, I'm not sure an extra twenty levels of Totodile is that much of an upgrade. Now if only there were a way around this problem...

Chikorita is one of my favorite starters. Cute, cute, cute, and an utter tank. =)
Yes. Among plant starters, Chikorita is one of the best.
Chikorita is cute but loses 100% of its cuteness on evolution.
I don't necessarily agree. Bayleef looks kind of silly, but this is kind of cute.
And, of course, Venusaur is still superior.
