Who's the poor soul that was forced to stop trick or treating under 10, and who the fuck still went trick or treating above 16!?

Real men (or women), in both cases.

I consider Halloween not based on the age, but rather whether you are still in school at the time or not.

Therefore, I Halloween'd like a pro until Graduation. =)

I don't know why you'd think it was "forced."

I couldn't remember the exact age, but it was definitely in that range. I had a lot of homework that night so I stayed home to do that that year... and then I just stopped. It was my decision.

I never stopped trick or treating. Though I will admit that it's now in a supervisor role with kids needing attending while they go trick or treating... but I still get candy too.

This is why school is the worst thing.

"You're childish. What are you getting? Are you getting strawberry? Ha! That's such a childish flavor, only children eat strawberry."

It was my decision.

My brain is not wrapping itself around this being possible. A child voluntarily not going trick or treating? Does not compute!

Yeah, that's why I wtf'd.
I stopped trick or treating at 15. (But I accidentally voted 14 but I don't really care)

My last year out, I went out 3 separate times.
First as a Knight, second as Link (Used the same sword and shield and wear a green shirt) and third as batman.

You know those tall plastic garbage cans? I got so much candy, I filled one to the top, and half filled a second one <_<

Nah. Though it is strange I'd have that much homework that night.

Sounds to me like you were forced, xp.

how

I could have chosen to ignore my homework that night. I have to imagine getting an extension for a day would be trivial.

My brain is not wrapping itself around this being possible. A child voluntarily not going trick or treating? Does not compute!

The timing doesn't add up for that year, but very shortly after that is when anxiety became a "thing" for me. Which basically promoted Halloween to my least favorite holiday. A title which it still holds!

so yeah. it can happen.

I feel sad for you. And laugh at you at the same time.
