Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major	Actually, the intrepid line of ships were designed to be a long range exploration vessels. Completely self sufficient because they would be away for long periods. That's kinda why Voyager was able to survive so long and so well in the Delta Quadrant. It's only a science vessel in Star Trek Online. I mean... How else would you classify it? It's not a cruiser. It's smaller than even the Constitution IIRC. Likewise it lacks the firepower and armor of the Cruiser-line (Both in the show and in the game), it had the most advanced at the time. I'm sure that if Voyager was anything other than an intrepid, I doubt they would have been able to survive for as long as they did in the Delta Quadrant. Now, the real mystery in Voyager was how the hell did the Equinox survive, AT ALL? Now THAT was a true science vessel. Level: 37 Advanced	I really did like Voyager. I liked how it survived so long and, yes, it was designed as a long ranged exploration ship. [Spoiler for The Next Generation Movie, click to show]The Galaxy is just something that grew iconic for me because i liked how the saucer design on it was. But I meant Flagship of each series <_< Also, actually, technically Voyager would be a flagship... Voyager was the second Intrepid produced, the first was a prototype.
