What a strange track this is. I started watching a Let's Play of Alone in the Dark 3 today. This piece starts playing when you enter the western ghost town called Slaughter Gulch. It is supposed to be a creepy area, as this is a horror game.
Supposed is the key word, because this music makes it impossible to take seriously. Boing boing, boing boing, boing! It probably gets irritating fast to listen to it for the while it will take to solve puzzles. Yet I find it hilarious. It is so badly out of place that it loops around to being good, if that makes any sense. Plus I find it kind of catchy. Definitely a Your Mileage May Vary piece. But anything that makes me burst out laughing at hearing it in a haunted town is worth putting up.

I actually heard the remix below first, but I like to post the originals before the remixes when I can, so here we are. It's pretty catchy. As expected, one of the highest ranked Mario games has some really good music. What else is there to say? Like everyone here has played this game EXCEPT me.

This one I heard in a Pokemon battle video, as usual. I was finding it very fun to listen to and was surprised to learn it was a Mario remix, as it was not what would have first come to mind. A good piece though, and I think I prefer it to the original, though that might be different if I had played SMB3 way back when.

Team Aqua and Magma suck. There is no getting around that they are some of the worst villains I have ever seen. One more reason I dislike R/S/E. But they have one redeeming feature: music. The grunt battle music is good, as is their boss theme. It's the only reason I cared about fighting them in the first place. This piece is a bit overly dramatic considering how much they suck, but oh well, it's nice to listen to.

Oh man, I'm glad they have this piece on Youtube. The first Megaman Battle Network game didn't have a really remarkable soundtrack, but I love this track. It plays when you are on the general net as Megaman, and it's peaceful with enough techno mixed in to make it feel in place. I had forgotten about it until I saw Epyon livestreaming Battle Network, and it was a nostalgia blast.

I heard this when Epyon was livestreaming Silent Hill. It plays when you get the Good+ ending, as he was kind enough to remind me. It is a beautiful piece that really fits the atmosphere of that ending. Silent Hill games really do have some great soundtracks.

I have liked Ace Attorney tracks before. Pursuit ones are usually quite good. But I have never come across a track in these games that stuck with me so vividly. Miles Edgeworth made off like a bandit by getting this theme. It just blows the rest out of the water for me. I am not sure what anyone else's stance on it is, though, since I have never seen a discussion on Investigations music.
Anyhow, this plays when Edgeworth finds a fatal flaw in the opponent's logic and is ready to nail them. You can really feel the triumph in the piece. And boy is it satisfying after how much weaseling some of the murderers in this game do. Plus it goes well with Edgeworth's smug expression of 'you are screwed'.
Oh, and for the record: Investigations is the best Ace Attorney game besides perhaps the third one, due to its epic conclusion. Either way, it ranks very highly in my book. People who think it is a cheap spinoff should reconsider.

I actually reached this level for the first time rather recently. It's not that difficult overall. Toxic Waste revolves around big mooks picking up barrels to throw at you. You are on a narrow bridge with green sewer water around you. Leaping over the barrels isn't hard. The only problem is near the end, where one guy throws bouncing barrels that can be hard to judge due to the camera angle. Despite that, I foresee no difficulties in beating it once I finally deal with its bonus level.
This is one of the only levels where I noticed the music. It's a lot faster in beat than most of the pieces. The techno parts thrown in give it a really different feeling from the majority of other levels that are dipped in nature. I found it very catchy and enjoyed hearing it while in the level. It's worth letting Crash get flattened a few times by barrels for some more listening.

Honestly, I wasn't all that impressed with most of The Sacred Stones' soundtrack. There weren't many pieces that stood out to me. This one's pretty good though. I wish it wasn't so short, but that's something that most of the battle themes in Fire Emblem suffer from. For only being like twenty-five seconds long before looping, it's a nice track.

When I heard this piece playing in a Pokemon video, I was wondering where the heck it had come from. It sounded very familiar to me but I cannot place how. When I saw it was from Sonic 3D Blast, I realized there was no way I had ever heard this piece in particular before. But it is a nice track. I like it a lot, in any case.

Coconut Mall - Mario Kart Wii

The only reason I've played Mario Kart Wii is due to my little sister having it and wanting me to play with her during my babysitting. That said, it has some good music and good level designs. Coconut Mall is my personal favorite; it's rather clever and it has a catchy tune. I think it works well for a casual racing game like Mario Kart.

Another piece I got from a Pokemon video. I have never played Monster Hunter, but a friend of mine is a huge fan of them, so I know a bit about them. I've never had experience with music from them. This piece is incredibly dramatic. I can only imagine it must be paired with a pretty epic fight.

Epyon was livestreaming the game VVVVVV today. It was the first time I had ever heard of it. I liked some of the tracks in the game, and he linked me to this one, which is my current favorite from it.
This game takes place in space and revolves around gravity manipulation. As a result, I think this piece fits it very well. It's also cool to just listen to on its own though. Good stuff.

I just finished watching the LP of Sonic Unleashed, which was hilarious despite not being as bad as Sonic 2006. (Though that's like saying Pokemon Pinball isn't as bad as Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, lololol.) Despite all the lulz, I did notice the soundtrack was pretty good. This piece in particular stood out to me. It's a fun jazz piece that goes well with its setting. I know Sonic Team has been full of idiotic ideas for a good period of time, but at least they're keeping up with good tunes.

Actually, no. Sonic Unleashed had the right idea with daytime levels, it's just that the werehog levels were so bad that it brought down the rest of the game. Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald had a couple of good things going for it, but the bad points (stupid new Pokemon like Plusle/Minun, tons of water routes, Team Idiots...) made it lousy. So I'm saying Sonic 2006 and Pokemon Pinball are on total garbage tier, while Unleashed and RSE are on 'some decent points but ugh WTH were they thinking with those others' points.

This is the only video game of a card game that I have played that has been fun. I actually enjoyed this spinoff a lot, to the point that it remains one of my most fondly remembered GBC games. The music is pretty good for most of it too. This one's my favorite piece, which plays against the 'Elite 4' of this game. It's a neat theme.

I wish I could remember more Golden Sun music. As it is, this one is action-packed and great for the fights it is in. Even if there are better pieces I cannot remember right now, this one deserves some recognition on my behalf. I do believe it is one of the more popular themes from Golden Sun so it is not in danger of being underrated.

What an odd piece for late game fights. It almost doesn't even feel like battle music. Yet when I was watching an LP for this game, this track stuck in my head. It has enough of a tense feeling to keep me on the edge, which is good for a final boss. This is definitely a YMMV piece, but I for one enjoy it.

I love the first three Spyro games. They are all great in their own way. However, I actually have a very poor memory for most of their tunes. It's strange, because the games definitely have good music. I just suck at remembering them.
This probably isn't the best piece in the original game, but I love it all the same. It's one that actually has stuck with me. This is probably because out of the six homeworlds, the Magic Crafters was my favorite. This piece is peaceful enough to fit the lush, green surroundings while keeping some action for fighting the few enemies lying around. It's a good mix.
