| Oh I do eventually switch to Rikku. It's just that for whatever reason at the moment (and this always happens, I haven't even been USING Auron up to this point much) he's just ungodly strong to the point that he makes everyone else useless at the moment. Except for Yuna, but I feel like that's cheating.
Anyway, resetting Blitzball data is the cheap way and after beating the Chocobo Trainer I'd feel like I was doing myself a disservice not to legitimately grind out Blitzball. Plus, I actually enjoy playing it. >_>

| Depends on if you hire the best players or not, really. Wedge, Miyu, and Ropp are the only ones I hired. I also hired Brother, but he's a bit of a bitch to level up right now apart from pass farming for EXP because he can't actually score on anyone at the moment. The way to keep it entertaining is to simply not hire ALL of the better players and let the other teams (hopefully) spread them out evenly which in my game they have.
Hell, the Guados took Keepa and he's actually a semi decent goalie for them because he's a high level now with Super Goalie. Not against Tidus, but you know that's just because. >_>

| 15-25 is annoying as fuck because that's when most people have 3 tech slots, but everyone still has a limited amount of stats. That is where it's annoying.
After 25, you start getting stats that will surpass some of the techs.
Also, I too was going to do it "legit", without using that, but I completed like, 6-7 leagues and the fucking sigil never showed up once >_>
That's 60-70 games.

| You can still be legit and reset the leagues without resetting data... once you complete a league, don't go back to the Blitz screen. Instead back out and save and then you can soft reset to reset the league prizes. The league prizes only lock in after a league once you view the Blitz screen.
I still consider that legitimate since it isn't resetting your team data to make it appear. >_>
Also, if you think after 25 is when your stats start surpassing the techs you should try keeping the Aurochs that long. I usually do it that way and they definitely do not surpass the techs at 25 even though their late level stat gain is a dramatic increase, it still comes a bit later than that.
Also, I've noticed a really funny glitch playing the Guados. Keepa can't seem to keep his level static, earlier in the first half he somehow dropped in level and his catch was only 8 and his HP was cut in half. In the second half he jumped back to his accurate level and his catch more than doubled and so did his HP. I don't understand why it keeps happening only with him, but I've noticed it before too in other games playing against him; I just didn't think anything of it.

Blitzball: Not success yet. I forgot I still need to get the Status and Auroch Reels. >_> Oh well, Jecht Shot 2 tournament showed up, so I'm doing that instead for the moment before finishing my Status Reels league.

Today, I grind Blitzball to get Wakka's Sigil and then I'll have all the Celestials powered up. Then I'll... go kill Omega I guess and continue maxing out sphere grids after that for the Dark Aeons/Penance. I still need to actually farm One-Eye for the Triple AP weapons though...

Due to material cost, you're better off bribing Sand Worm 900k gill for around 15 (that's about 1.8M gil per character as you only need 30 Winning Formula, to put on Triple AP weaps got from One-Eye). Plus you should have got 99 anyhow when you unlocked Neslug.
Especially since Triple AP bribes (Wings of Discovery) cost either 540k for four, or 1.28M for eight... and you need 50 per character.
And of course One-Eye dies in two hits anyhow (assuming you're hitting for 99999).

| I think I have somehow managed to confuse the auto-leveling in Blitzball (possibly because Brother is only level 5 and Miyu is like 10ish while Wedge and Tidus are 40+ and Ropp and Letty are mid 20s and 30). The glitch I described before with Keepa is now spreading to other players on other teams. Datto was recently hired by a team and jumped to level 35, but in the first half of a game his stats are like they were at level 1. In the second half, they jump to where they should be and he gains more than double his stats.
More hilariously, this has also spread to that bastard Nimrook. In the game I'm doing right now his Catch is only 11 before Super Goalie, normally right now his catch is in the mid 20s. Naturally, I am taking advantage of this and rubbing it in his face with Sphere Shots from half court. >_>

| There is a degree of auto-leveling in Blitzball. For example, they played no actual games prior to hiring Datto in reality and he jumped from level 1 (when I fired him, he was not used by anyone else prior) to level 35.
I don't know if you were aware or not, but there actually is an auto leveling system in Blitzball using the average level of all of the players on your team as well as other teams to auto level them. They learn TECHS in games against other teams, but there is a measure of auto leveling involved and not them actually leveling against other teams. The original established players that stay in-game level that way, but new ones hired at level 1 that you don't hire are auto leveled instantly.

| I didn't really know about it until my previous playthrough of the International version before the HD remasters came out, but it does exist and it explains a lot of the oddities you see when playing late game without resetting data from the start.

| Finally got a League to show up with the Sigil... just have to force myself through to the end of the League to get it and I'll have all the Celestials powered up. Then all that's left is the grind to max sphere grids/Dark Aeons/Nemesis/Penance... and the long road to X-2 Platinum to completely establish my dominance.
It's probably bad that I'm really looking forward to X-2, but I don't care. I never hated that game as much as everyone else did. I actually enjoyed it a fair bit for what it was.
