Diablo I: I got when it first came out. I spent 3 years ONLY. ONLY. Playing it. It was the ONLY thing I played. Every waking minute. I ate and sleeped Diablo I.
HOURS UNKNOWN.
Starcraft: ... I got it when it first came out... I spent about 3-4 years just playing it constantly, and then off and on a lot... So, I'd wager WELL over 3000 hours >_>
Tibia: ...
Fucked if I know. Probably like Starcraft, well over 3k fucking hours >_>
Diablo II: Probably well over 600 hours.
Morrowind: Probably well over 500 hours.
FFX: Well over 400 hours. I'd have to check my saves, but I'm lazy.

Besides, the real world didn't have hot Viera sex. Ivalice was totally kickass, Marche was just a douche.

And they were "living" in that world for all of like a week before Marche started dragging them back home.
And the only people we know who transformed into monsters were the bullies, and they were douchebags just like Marche, so they deserved it. <_<
And the only people we know of who were "better off" are Marche, Ritz, Mewt, Doned, and Cid.
Besides, the real world didn't have hot Viera sex. Ivalice was totally kickass, Marche was just a douche.
So given the choice, you'd rather live in a happy daydream than a sometimes unpleasant reality?
