I know what you're thinking. A boxer is the most powerful video game character ever? When there are characters like Mewtwo, Samus, Cutscene Dante, and the entire Sonic universe? However, consider the following:
The purpose of Little Mac is to be the underdog and win anyway. Thus, when fighting someone stronger than him, he'll win every time without fail because that's what he does. And when fighting someone weaker than him? Of course he wins, I mean, they're weaker than him!
The only way an opponent could conceivably defeat Little Mac is if they were his exact equal. However, no one is equal to Little Mac, so this can't happen unless Little Mac were to fight himself.
FACT: If, somehow, Little Mac ever got into a fight with Little Mac, Little Mac would win. Period.
The conclusion should be plain as day - Little Mac is the most powerful video game character of all time.

You seem to be implying that Saurfang is stronger than Little Mac. As already stated, this means he would lose to Little Mac, and thus is not the strongest video game character.

Some people kill 2 birds with 1 stone. Saurfang kills 4 birds, 3 bunny rabbits and a poodle with half a pebble and none of them even come into contact with it.
Blizzard once tried to nerf High Overlord Saurfang. They really did. The resultant murders are the reason Starcraft Ghost is so late.
Saurfang gets the "Your target is dead" message any time he tries to use a skill on anyone, because if he's targeting you, you're already done for.
High Overlord Saurfang is always Out of Combat, because any opposition made against him is considered too trivial and one-sided to be considered as actual combat.
