Name some good games for the 360 because I might or might not get one.

Other options are a PSP or some DS games, but I'm leaning towards the 360.

gogogo there is the possibility of shrines if you are very helpful

Edit: Original xobox games are fair game too, BC and all.

Tales of Vesperia.

...
...
...

Nothing else matters.

Okay, Mass Effect is awesome too, but it's not Tales of Vesperia.

Maybe Lost Odyssey.

Fable II comes out like in a few days, but obviously there's no way to tell how good it'll be, although I'm hoping it will be good.

As for the original Xbox.

Knights of the Old Republic.
Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords

Those are the first two that come to mind, because they're both awesome.

I will consider all of those.

(ToV was the first game on my list.)

Thanks!

Also, if I had to rank those:

Tales of Vesperia
KotOR
KotOR II (Simply because it'd make more sense if you had played KotOR first)
Mass Effect
Lost Odyssey

RPGs:
Mass Effect
Blue Dragon
Lost Odyssey
BioShock (More FPS then RPG. Though still enjoyable. The only problem is it's SHORT and has ZERO replayability)
Oblivion
Fable II
Tales of Vesperia (Haven't played. Doesn't look that great IMO as I'm not a fan of those types of RPGs. Just listing it because it's an option and IIRC you like those games.)
Infinite Undiscovery (Haven't played it myself, but I hear it's a decent JRPG)
Marvel Ultimate Alliance (It's okay, not zomgmindblowingawsum!!!, but still decent)

Non-RPG:
Halo 3
Grand Theft Auto 4
Forza Motorsport 2
Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation
Viva Pinata
Call of Duty 4
Gears of War
The Orange Box
Ninja Gaiden 2
Burnout: Paradise
Star Wars: Force Unleashed
Burnout: Revenge
GRiD
Command & Conquer 3 (Zomg, me suggesting a strategy game on a console!? Yes, it's true. The controls were VERY FUCKING WELL done on this one. Flows nicely)

Coming out soon:
The last Remnant (RPG)
Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts

There. I've listed practically every (non-Xbox Live Arcade) Xbox 360 game worth owning >_>

If I were to reccomend only 3 games, they would be:
Grand Theft Auto 4
Lost odyssey
And Forza Motorsport 2.

As for Xbox games... I suggest skipping them, or buying a real Xbox to play them.

The backwards compatibility SUCKS in some games. Of the Xbox games I have tried on the 360, KOTORII is the only one that is REALLY bad.
The game freezes and skips A LOT, the music barely plays half the time and the menus SERIOUSLY lag.
There's some problem with Grand Theft Auto 3, Vice City and San Andreas. Mostly sound problems, but there's a few graphical problems too, minor, but they exist.
One problem with San Andreas, the controls just feel odd. >_>

Mass Effect - Definitely considering it.
Blue Dragon - Ehhhh. Akira Toriyama is a turn off, tbqh. Maybe.
Lost Odyssey - Considering it.
BioShock - Definitely considering it, though short and non-replayable makes me wary...
Oblivion - Considering it, but I'm not a huge fan of WRPGS or "sandbox" games, so... eh.
Fable II - I'll wait for reviews, but the first Fable didn't appeal to me at all.
Tales of Vesperia - Will probably get this.
Infinite Undiscovery - It's sure been hyped enough by JRPG fans to be worth considering, but I haven't followed it too closely.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance - Ehhh Marvel. Probably will pass on this.

Halo 3 - Maybe, but only after playing the first two.
Grand Theft Auto 4 - Never been a big fan of GTA, but the 10/10 BEST GAME EVER reviews make it worth consideration, I guess.
Forza Motorsport 2 - No offense meant, but the chance of me buying this is roughly 0%.
Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation - Definite maybe. Though I've had pretty much the whole plot spoiled for me.
Viva Pinata - Definite maybe.
Call of Duty 4 - Will probably get this. I normally hate realistic FPS, but I've played this a bit and actually enjoyed it even though I suck at it.
Gears of War - Probably not.
The Orange Box - Definite maybe, though I'd rather get the PC version if my computer can run it. (Big if.)
Ninja Gaiden 2 - Ehhh hard games tend to kick my ass unless they're Trauma Center or Fire Emblem.
Burnout: Paradise - Ehhh.
Star Wars: Force Unleashed - Probably not.
Burnout: Revenge - Ehhh.
GRiD - Honestly don't even know what this is. <_<
Command & Conquer 3 - I suck at RTS. Can't imagine being on a console would help that problem, either.

The backwards compatibility SUCKS in some games. Of the Xbox games I have tried on the 360, KOTORII is the only one that is REALLY bad.
The game freezes and skips A LOT, the music barely plays half the time and the menus SERIOUSLY lag.

Ah, really? I've heard some games have a few problems, but nothing as serious as that. Guess I'll have to research everything before splurging on a bunch of $5 games. <_<;

Thanks a lot!

BioShock was fun while it lasted. But, the only reason you'd really replay it, is to finish off the achievements.
Which require at least 2, possibly 3 playthroughs.

The main problem with BioShock is it suffers from what I call "Doom Syndrome". All the halls and corridors twist and turn on themselves and look the same, so you wind up getting lost, and you fight the SAME generic enemies over and over.

---

Blue Dragon is fun. Yes, a lot of the characters look like DBZ characters (Zola, anyone? >_> FEMALE TRUNKS LOL) but over-all, it's a VERY fun traditional JRPG.

---

...Ace Combat 6 has a story? >_>
Oh wait, now I remember, it was all that annoying non-combat related chatter that I ignored, right? I only played the demo and fell in love with it.

---

Forza Motorsport 2 > Every racing game out there. >_> <_<
It's a good mix between Real Sim, and Arcade.
It's forgiving in some cases like an Arcade game, but has the depth that a Simulation game has.

My only complaint about it is it has so many fucking useless cars that are similar. DO WE REALLY FUCKING NEED 13+ RALLY PORSCHE 911'S THAT ARE THE SAME EXCEPT FOR PAINTJOB!? Same goes for Audi and all their prototype race cars. There's like, 10 of those. Again. ALL THE SAME, DIFFERENT PAINTJOB!
Those are a pain in the ass to buy if you're going for the All Cars achievement because they cost 250,000 - 300,000 a piece.

---

Take on Hardened difficulty RIGHT FROM THE START for Call of Duty 4. Trust me, it may be difficulty as FUCK, but it'll get you used to the game. None of this easy bs.

---

GRiD is an arcade racing game.
I didn't really like it, but a lot of people did.
Honestly, I'm not a fan of racing games. I've only liked, literally 5 total racing games EVER.
Gran Turismo, Burnout 3: Takedown, Forza Motorsport 1, Forza Motorsport 2 and Need for Speed 3: Hot Pursuit

---

Yeah. Usually, it's mostly sound(Weird random sounds, or glitchy sounds) and graphical errors(Weird colors, etc), things you can deal with. But some games are barely playable.
Like I said with KOTORII.

Halo 1 and 2 work flawlessly on the 360 though BTW.
You just have to get used to the button transfer.
Left Bumper = Black button. Right Bumper = white button.

All the games I have for the Xbox and their playability on the 360:
Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance - No idea actually. I'm afraid to play it... The center of the disk is broken and cracked. I just have it as a collector's piece.
Doom III - No major problems. Sound errors occasioinally, that's about it.
Fable: The Lost Chapter's - Load times are HORRIBLE. Skips a lot. Low FPS in some areas.
Forza Motorsport 1 - ...No clue. I can't stand to play it after Forza 2 XD
Halo 1 - No problems what-so-ever.
Halo 2 - Same.
Ninja Gaiden Black - Sometimes FMVs lack all audio :/
Panzer Dragoon Orta - Haven't played.
KOTORII - Already said it.
Star Wars: Republic Commando - No idea. Game sucks >_> (My Mom gave it to me for Christmas blah)

Blue Dragon is bad, but not because of the Toriyama art
And Ace Combat 6 is pretty bad compared to the PS2 ones, plus the Namco DLC sucks ass, don't bother with it

Ugh I HATE that. But it seems to be present in a lot of FPS, so eh, I'd probably get used to it.

Touche. <_<;;

The primary reason I'd be buying CoD4 is for the multiplayer, so getting used to the game would probably be a good thing. >_> Thanks for the advice.

Honestly, I'm not a fan of racing games. I've only liked, literally 5 total racing games EVER.

Same here. Except I only like kart racers and other non-real sim ones. Which is why I say Forza doesn't appeal to me much. But I might give a shot if I can borrow it from a friend or something.

Yeah. Usually, it's mostly sound(Weird random sounds, or glitchy sounds) and graphical errors(Weird colors, etc), things you can deal with. But some games are barely playable.

Huh. That's weird. Wonder why so many companies are sucking with BC this gen. (Unplayable games on the 360, PS3 removing BC, DSi removing GBA BC...)

Anyway, thanks again.

MS, instead of telling me what games suck, how about some games you think are good? <_<

Just tested Forza 1 on the 360, it works flawlessly. >_>

Don't listen to him in any case. Blue Dragon is a great game, just a bit on the kiddy side though. (Marumaro's voice is HELLISHLY annoying though >_>)

I was gonna make a topic for this, but i copy and pasted it from that topic here. makes it easier =P

I assure you, after reading the online comic on their site, seeing how sick the series is and old school horror, i literally can't wait to play it on the PS3. but this game is also available on the 360, so i highly recommend this.

but my god. This series has some sick shit in it. It's like Resident Evil when you first saw it, but it's much more, and i mean when i say this, much more scary in terms of story and how messed up the monsters are in it.

That, and i can forget how good survival horror in space can be.

before you read these spoilers, you can watch these comics online censored or not on the main site at www.deadspacegame.com. if you can't watch videos, you can read it on the site at least.

[Spoiler for Dead Space universe, click to show]
The series is set in the future where humanity discovered an artifact in space called a marker. Michael Altman, the discoverer of the marker, considers it a religious artifact and creates a religion based on the marker: Unitology. A Religion based on human evolution and the secret to eternal life. After the creation of Unitology, Altman was killed, with reports believing to be the work of government officials.

This is where the comic book kicks in. Showing a security guard named Neumann that warns anyone that's watching his recording that they're already dead and that if they're watching this, try contacting home and ordering a nuke.

In the not so far future (no time is specified) a crew working a planet cracker (A ship that destroys planets to harvest it's materials for Earth) discover another marker on another planet. as plans are to retrieve the marker, everyone on the ship starts receiving hallucinations of their lost loved ones and are frequently writing gibberish on the walls. as doctor Tom on the ship tries to chalk it up to miner stress, he has to call Neumann in as a miner threatens to kill him. Neumann and Tom's nurse arrive, but by the time they arrive they see Tom being threatened with a miner cutter by the miner. they manage to knock him out, but as Neumann checks to see if Tom was ok, the miner is suddenly gone, and Tom's assistant's torso was left on a box. After the incident, Tom announces to the ship the death of his assistant and mourns her passing. however during the mourning, her spirit speaks to him, warning him that it's 'not his time' and he has to hurry. Tom is walked off the stage with Neumann and he talks to Tom about it. Tom,while explaining his long time expertise of medical studies and tells Neumann that he's an atheist, he mentions he's really starting to feel like there's something really wrong going on around here, and it's more than something that he can handle...

shortly afterwards, some of the unitologists on the ship decide to go check out the marker early on the planet, where the lead preacher of the group suddenly sees a image of his dead mother trying to warn him. however, he instead gets the idea that this marker has the key that Altman talked about and tries to get the marker moved to the planet cracker ASAP.
</spoiler>

That basically sums it up. Horror movies rock, but it's been a long time since i seen something good as this. and there's even a DVD coming out for it @_@
