| Level: 43 Editor | Chrono Cross - Radical Dreamers ~ Unstolen Jewel ...This is okay, I guess, it doesn't really do anything special. I don't like the vocalist very much here. The opening before the vocals start is quite good. I'll go with 4.5/10 but I honestly feel like I'm being sort of generous. But then I remember that it's up against F-Zero music today and it just looks so much better by comparison. White Land - F-Zero I thought this was pretty mediocre... until that part you mentioned, which is indeed quite good. I've never been a big fan of F-Zero music honestly, but this is probably the best F-Zero track I've heard! Unfortunately that only affords it like a 5.5/10. White Land - Super Smash Brothers Brawl This, however, is pretty much a perfect example of why I really don't care for F-Zero music very much. <_< 4/10 --- "There's a pony in the shop, but don't buy it. | Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | Aww yeah, new topic. Now to comment on the songs that closed out the last topic. White Land - F-Zero ...What the. Well... I'm not really quite sure what to say here. Nothing really positive at any rate. I guess... 3.0. Which I feel should almost count as a positive comment because I feel like that's still too high a rating! White Land - Super Smash Brothers Brawl ...At first I thought this might manage to get +.5 to the original. ...But I quickly realized, that no, no it would not. 3.0 as well. I'm not sure which one I "enjoy" more. Super Robot Wars Compact 2 - Fallen White Angel See, this is tough for me to deal with, because I feel the original version you posted has a far superior first five seconds, while this does practically everything else better. You would think that would translate to this version coming out ahead for me, but the first five seconds of this song are by far the best part of the entire song, so really I'm not sure that's true! Well, I'll give this what I think I'd give the original, a 7.0, though I think I do prefer the original by the slightest margin. It's nearly a tie though. Castlevania: Curse of Darkness - A Toccata Into Blood Soaked Darkness This is pretty good too, but not as good as Excellen's Theme/Fallen White Angel. For a while there, I thought it had a shot at 6.5, and maybe it still does, but I'm going to go with 6.0 here. --- xp1337: Don't you wish there was a spell-checker that told you when you a word out? |

| Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | You see, I'd like to come up with some kind of response to White Land receiving a higher rating than Radical Dreamers, but I am actually somewhat speechless. I don't think anything in this entire topic series has left me this confused as to how that actually happened. I preferred it better when Kenri's write-up had a "typo" claiming he didn't like the vocalist, which could then be traced back to his comments for EXEC_SPHILIA/. for a laugh and you could almost pretend the Radical Dreamers write-up was trolling. But this... what the. --- xp1337: Don't you wish there was a spell-checker that told you when you a word out? |

| Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | Umineko no Naku Koro ni Chiru 6 - Life http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4BhvHC6DU6I&fmt=18 You know, I'm not exactly sure which song from Umineko that I've heard is my favorite. For the longest while I thought it was dreamenddischarger, but now I'm no longer sure, and it really is more of a toss-up between like 5 different songs. This is one of them, although I actually doubt it would come out as the "winner" if I really thought about it, in fact, I'd give decent odds on it ending up fifth out of the five songs, nevertheless, I still really enjoy this song. As for this, my favorite part is without doubt 1:13 - 2:08, I just absolutely love what the song does during that section. --- xp1337: Don't you wish there was a spell-checker that told you when you a word out? |

They would be justified in every piece... except this. For whatever reason, the final boss in Spyro 2 has OPERA SINGING to go with it. I mean, what on earth, where did THAT come from? ...At the same time it adds a pretty epic feeling in the actual fight. Outside... | Level: 43 Editor | Umineko no Naku Koro ni Chiru 6 - Life Haha, man, the more Umineko I hear the more I'm convinced that dreamenddischarger is actually like low tier or something. <_< Yeah, this is really good. I like how it builds throughout, but does it really subtly. Actually, I just really like this in general; it doesn't do a single thing that stands out to me as something I dislike. I'm not sure where I stand on Life vs. Answer, though. Gut reaction says Life, probably. The best part though? It's not 9 minutes long. >_> Ripto's Arena - Spyro 2: Ripto's Range Well, this is certainly interesting. I've been to three operas somewhat recently - Don Giovanni, La Boheme, and Nixon In China (linked to prove that that is a real thing) - of which I enjoyed the first one, really enjoyed the second, and... kinda sorta enjoyed the third, though it was too long and the music wasn't great. I'm still not really sure how I picked this up as an interest, but, well, there it is. ...It's hard for me to judge this track just because I know so little about opera, despite my growing interest in it, but I guess there's no reason for me to judge it any differently than the rest of the music in this topic series anyway. I like the vocals. The organ(?) music works. The rest of the music works significantly less. You can definitely tell this is a track in a platformer game, despite the opera singing. Hmm. I think I'm going to go with like a 7/10 here, though I'm definitely affording it extra points for creativity/being something different. --- "There's a pony in the shop, but don't buy it. | Level: 43 Editor | Contact - Fallen http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tvTQgjIfdZs&fmt=18 I'm a big fan of the DS game Contact, but I didn't realize it had a pretty decent soundtrack until recently. There were a couple tracks I had a tough time deciding between (you'll probably get a few more at some point in the future), but in the end I decided to just go with my heart. That's usually a bad idea, but I dunno, maybe I'll get lucky here. This is the game over theme, and I have to say, it does sound like a game over theme. I'm not sure if I ever really encountered this in Contact, because the game was generally pretty easy, even if some of the combat-related mechanics are... god awful. I have to imagine I died at some point, though. Anyway. I'm actually quite fond of the song itself. It's pretty eerie and... I guess I'd say it's atmospheric; I could definitely see this playing during, say, Castlevania, maybe even a survival horror game, though that might be sort of a stretch. It is fairly simple, but I like all of the instruments and think they work well here, so overall it's successful for me. ...I can't believe I've posted a song with "Fallen" in the title two days in a row. --- "There's a pony in the shop, but don't buy it. | Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | Ripto's Arena - Spyro 2: Ripto's Range I was skeptical when I saw opera, but hey, it could work. Then, I saw Spyro and knew that this would be a lot of "fun." And I was not surprised. I'm going to say 3.0 here as well. I could maybe argue 3.5 because I think I liked it better than either White Land, but they might as well all be on the same tier. Contact - Fallen Hmm, this is kind of neat, but again, I'm going to say I felt like this didn't really go anywhere. It was pretty good with what it did though, so let's say 5.0. --- xp1337: Don't you wish there was a spell-checker that told you when you a word out? |

| Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | Xenosaga Episode III: Also Sprach Zarathustra - Promised Pain http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LyA-w_kxv3M&fmt=18 Man, Xenosaga III has so many good songs, but so many of them are ones I feel like I shouldn't post because they're arguably spoilers to some extent. Ah well, Promised Pain is still excellent, just not one that would have been next on my list for this, I think. A Xenosaga III battle theme ranking would be nigh-impossible for me, because I believe literally every one of the 10+ of them is legitimately a quality song. Godsibb is clearly the best for me, but second place is a fierce battle between like 5 or 6 of the others. I'm not actually sure Promised Pain is even in that contest, and it's still an excellent song.
Nevertheless, Promised Pain is one of the absolute best final boss battle themes I've heard. It might not be as good as Godsibb, but then again, I think only EXEC_SPHILIA/. might be superior to Godsibb, so that's to be expected. I might feel Xenosaga III reaches its peak with the battle Godsibb plays in, but this battle and Promised Pain is excellent.
As for my favorite part, not too hard for me to pick out here, I really love what the song does at 1:25 - 2:50, particularly the part that starts at about 1:46. --- xp1337: Don't you wish there was a spell-checker that told you when you a word out? |

| Level: 43 Editor | No More Heroes - N.M.H. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fduv3Tbvi1w&fmt=18 I haven't played No More Heroes (add No More Heroes to the list of games I haven't played), but I actually have heard this track before - it's in at least one LP I've watched, maybe even two, I'm not sure. Incidentally, this thing is like five and a half ****in' minutes long, and while it doesn't ever loop to my knowledge, you have my permission to bail after like a minute and a half if you don't like it. Seriously, it has no excuse for being almost 6 minutes long. Despite that, I do like N.M.H. a lot. It's got a very tense feeling to it that always leaves me a little bit anxious as I listen to it. (That is a good thing when done right, which it is here.) I actually think it kind of reminds me of Lost Courage, which is nice. I'm not sure if this is the game's main theme or what, but if it is, it's definitely not what I would have expected the main theme of No More Heroes to be. Not that I'm complaining, of course. There are a couple remixes of this track that I could have posted too, but I really don't like any of them, so I'm not even going to link to them at all. I guess you could check them out on your own if you want. I don't recommend it, though. --- "There's a pony in the shop, but don't buy it. | Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | Snow Mountain-Wolf - Virtua Fighter 5 So I was searching for a random new game to get a piece from. Uh-oh. I saw the word wolf and thought 'let's see what this is'. ...always a valid justification for thinking a song would be good. Then I saw Virtua Fighter 5 and went 'eeeeeeh'. (Un)Thankfully this means nothing to me, so I can't make a comment here really. Then I listened and went 'WHOA this is pretty awesome!' *Glances at past few songs* ...I'll put this down as a push. Anyway... this isn't actually that bad. I'll actually say 6.0 here, but I think it's on the low end of that, because I'm not entirely sure I can properly claim this reached the "grabbed my attention" criteria I usually use. --- No More Heroes - N.M.H. This was "okay" for about 40 seconds or so. ...But then the song kept going for a minute. ...And then like another four minutes after that. | Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | Ar tonelico II: Melody of Metafalica - EXEC_HARMONIUS_FUSION/. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SCjAAZCsBrQ&fmt=18 Back to Ar tonelico II, this is the hymn that I mentioned before that I'm actually unsure of where it plays, because the place where I think makes the most sense is where I am for some reason, pretty sure EXEC_RIG=VEDA plays. Oh well! EXEC_HARMONIUS_FUSION has the same vocalist as EXEC_SPHILIA and EXEC_RIG=VEDA (and Radical Dreamers) so again, that I like it as much as I do isn't all that surprising. This is probably my third favorite hymn in Ar tonelico II behind EXEC_SPHILIA and METHOD_IMPLANTER. Overall, it gets pretty complicated when I have to figure out where the Ar tonelico I hymns end up. Again, while I'm kind of recommending against looking at the translations if you plan on playing Ar tonelico/Ar tonelico II, EXEC_HARMONIUS_FUSION may have the most surprising lyrics compared to how the song "sounds" like. The lyrics are actually quite chilling in a sense, IMO, which is not necessarily something you might think they'd be if you just listen to the song without knowing what the lyrics mean. Of course, this isn't all that surprising given which Reyvateil in Ar tonelico II sings this hymn, who if you recall, I mentioned way back is easily my favorite in the series. As for my favorite part of this song, it's a little more complicated. I do feel the song has some clear (relative) "weak" points in the very beginning and the very end, where the rest of the song is just excellent. Inside the middle there are probably two sections that could compete for my favorite. There's 3:15 - 4:00, with special mention to the part of that that starts at 3:44. I just really like the build up that takes place and then the pay off at 3:44. The other part would be right after the very beginning, from 0:43 - 1:36, and here I'll give special mention to 1:25 - 1:36, where I think it's that kind of... I don't know... echo-like effect on the vocals there that I really like (it also does the same thing at 0:54 - 0:58 of this same section). For now, I will say the 3:15 - 4:00 section is my favorite. --- xp1337: Don't you wish there was a spell-checker that told you when you a word out? |

| Level: 43 Editor | Valis (Genesis) - Miss Blue http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HrER2Z46VpQ&fmt=18 Oh god, Valis. Sometimes I wonder if anyone else even knows that this series exists. Well, my secret's out now - I was actually pretty big into this series for a while a few years back. I think I played like 3 or 4 games, but the continuity and which game is which entry in the series is so confusing that I can't even remember which ones I played. I dunno, maybe I was just really dumb back then, but I remember having trouble figuring out which game was the second in the series, or something like that. ANYWAY. Valis is, IIRC, a game about a high school girl who can turn into like... a warrior, and she fights another girl who has similar powers, and it's implied that they're in love or something, I dunno, the game was weird. And seriously depressing. I think Miss Blue is the ending theme, and... I guess it fits with the depressing-as-hell ending, though it's really not all that sad sounding. (Definitely more so than the other version, though.) I do like it, though - it stays interesting throughout, and never really does anything I dislike, though I wish it was just a tad slower in some parts; I feel like it would pack more of an emotional punch if it was slowed down and drawn out a bit. Valis (Turbografx-16) - Miss Blue ni Hohoemi http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=azZV_cpH9y8&fmt=18 ...And then there's this, from the Turbografx-16 version of the game. I actually like parts of this version better, and the vocalist is decent, and I think adding lyrics to the song probably wasn't a bad choice. My big problem here is that this version is really kind of... out-and-out happy. It really doesn't fit at all with the game's ending, as far as I can remember it. As a standalone song, I like it, though, and I imagine lyrics will make some people in this topic happy! But yeah, as far as I'm concerned, the first version is better. --- "There's a pony in the shop, but don't buy it. It might do something unfortunate to you." ~from the first Summoner's Seal topic |

| Level: 41 New Moderator | The Beach - Dear Esther http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nFTduGwvR2g I saw a Let's Play of this game and I have no desire to try explaining it. It really has a different feeling from most games, but it has great atmosphere and an interesting style. Most of the music is nice to listen to, but it suffers from not being heard in context. I like this one particularly for its haunting strings. Strings usually don't grip me in video game pieces as much as other instruments, yet here I am liking this one more than the piano piece I heard on the track. Huh. --- "That was pretty interesting. | Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | man why do i even bother giving people permission to bail on these things because i want to listen to the whole thing before rating it. Also, you said you didn't think it looped, so that's probably the primary reason for me. I mean, I disagree with you, because I felt it did loop, but I treated it as if it did not. I wouldn't bail on a song that doesn't loop except under some rather exceptional circumstances (and i'm only saying that in case you try to find such a case to troll me) Valis (Genesis) - Miss Blue This is kind of neat. Definitely enjoyed a lot of the things this song did. It's right around the 6.0 wall. I'll say 6.0. Valis (Turbografx-16) - Miss Blue ni Hohoemi Lyrics are (almost) always a welcome addition for me. They are here too, however, I feel like the other version did everything else better. Which unfortunately puts this at like a draw, or even possibly a net negative. ...I'll say 6.0 here too, but I think I like the first version more. | Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | Ar tonelico: Melody of Elemia - EXEC_LINKER/. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5CStaiitCuk&fmt=18 First, to connect this to previous hymns, this hymn has the same vocalist as EXEC_RE=NATION. However, RE=NATION is definitely a tier ahead of this hymn, IMO. EXEC_LINKER plays in Phase 2 of Ar tonelico, though it may only be heard on a specific character path, I can't be sure. It's possible you'd still hear it on the other path, but I couldn't guarantee it. EXEC_LINKER is another song that overrides other music while it's playing, which is something Ar tonelico utilizes fairly often relative to other games, and something other games should really learn from, if you ask me. Choosing a favorite part here is easy for me. Without question it's the section from 1:49 - 2:21. From 1:49 - 2:05 is the buildup, and the payoff from 2:05 - 2:21 is just excellent, IMO. --- xp1337: Don't you wish there was a spell-checker that told you when you a word out? |

I think I stumbled onto it through Board 8's VGMusic YouTube channel, and it actually has a pretty good soundtrack, of which they picked like the worst track, but whatever. I have no idea where in the game this plays, though a different YouTube video leads me to believe it's the title theme. Master of Monsters is a strategy game, so I can definitely see this working as a title theme. You'd think I'd dislike how this song picks up in pace/complexity considerably by the end, and while I do like the beginning better, I think overall the effect is successful. I especially like the first 12 seconds, but like I said, I think the whole thing ends up being pretty successful. --- "There's a pony in the shop, but don't buy it. | Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | Wicked Child - Castlevania This is pretty good. Also, the first 10 seconds are easily the best part, tbqh. Then it goes downhill again, until about 0:45 which rescues it again, but still not as good as the first 10 seconds. Kenri actually showed me a Touhouvania song a while back that I'm fairly certain utilizes that first 10 seconds (and U.N. Owen Was Her? Really, it's a mix of Wicked Child and U.N. Owen Was Her, I think) but I feel like I had heard that first 10 seconds part somewhere before even that, but I can't think of where. Might be that the Touhouvania song was the first place I heard it, but... eh... Back to this, I'll say 6.0, but probably on the higher end of that. The first 10 seconds are at least 6.5, maybe even 7.0, but the rest of the song brings it back down. Master of Monsters - Black Dignity See, I'm going to come out on the opposite side here and say the build up was generally to the song's benefit. Except at the very, very end. That's a bit of a mess, but the middle/before that last part? Pretty good. ...I'm going to say 5.5, but probably towards the top of that tier. --- xp1337: Don't you wish there was a spell-checker that told you when you a word out? |

| Level: 43 Editor | Xenosaga Episode III: Also Sprach Zarathustra - Promised Pain This is... pretty good, I guess. It doesn't really grab me the way other Xenosaga tracks have, and thus ends up probably being my least favorite of all the ones posted in the topic so far that I've listened to. The vocals are good, I guess, I just don't think they stand out very much compared to all the songs with similar but better vocals, of which there are... quite a few (and I mean in general, not just in Xenosaga, if that wasn't clear). So I'm gonna go with a high 5.5 here. Snow Mountain-Wolf - Virtua Fighter 5 There's nothing really wrong with this, but at the same time, I don't want to listen to it again. 4/10, and that feels a bit generous, but I really can't find too many technical flaws, so whatever. Ar tonelico II: Melody of Metafalica - EXEC_HARMONIUS_FUSION/. Let me just check my HANDY DANDY AR TONELICO HYMN INEQUALITY Says here this is my favorite of the ones I've heard, after SPHILIA and RE=NATION. Sounds about right. At the same time, I kind of struggle to find a reason to listen to it when those two exist and are better. Also AT hymns are sort of like cheating at this point, so I'm going to say an extremely high 7.5. In fact, it's so high that it really should be like an 8. The Beach - Dear Esther I can sense potential in this, but for like the first time ever I feel like it ended too early. It seemed like it was going somewhere, then... didn't. I'll go with a 5.5 here and also note that a lot of the tracks from this game that I've listened to are probably in the 7-7.5 range, so you got rather unlucky here. >_> Ar tonelico: Melody of Elemia - EXEC_LINKER/. Hmm, this is probably right around HARMONIUS_FUSION's level, but at the same time, it's a bit more unique, so I think it stands up to SPHILIA/RE=NATION better. I also think I'm tsundere for that singer with the really high pitched voice, in that I like her but I'm going to act like I don't and deny everything. 8/10 Wicked Child - Castlevania This starts out mediocre, but I end up liking it quite a bit by the end. Definitely not one of my favorite Castlevania pieces though, even if I limit myself to 8-bit Castlevania. I'll go with 6/10 here. There's also several remixes floating around that I didn't feel like sifting through, so check them as you will. ...challenge accepted. FYUUUUUUU CG7 posted: U.N. Koumajou Densetsu AKA Touhouvania actually has a pretty damn good soundtrack, you guys should check it out if you haven't already. also goddammit xp i knew i should have posted this alongside Black Dignity <___< --- "There's a pony in the shop, but don't buy it. | Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | .hack//G.U. Vol 1//Rebirth - Gentle Hands http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ByBZOPA6gp8&fmt=18 Gentle Hands is the ending theme to .hack//G.U. Vol 1 and probably my favorite ending theme in all games, but every time I make such an absolute statement I tend to hesitate and go "Well, I'd have to think about it before I say all" but let's just say it's way up there at the very least. I was actually quite disappointed that you couldn't get a full version of this playing on the in-game desktop, only a partial version. Nevertheless, IIRC, even that shorter version was what I had set as my in-game desktop theme most of the time. Choosing my favorite part is again rather easy for me, 2:18 - 2:42, the only surprising thing is that I'm choosing an entirely non vocal section of the song. As for the vocals themselves, I do like them, but again in a break from quite a few of the other recent songs, I generally prefer them when the different sound effects are all there rather than when they're not (because in what is not a surprise this time, I really like most of the effects in .hack songs and this is not an exception). .hack//G.U. Vol 1//Rebirth - Gentle Hands (English Version) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m6i2Vxf9O6c&fmt=18 Fun fact, after that whole "go through the entire topic to comment on songs I hadn't before" project, I've picked up a bit of a dislike for multiple songs in a single post, simply because it felt a bit demoralizing to know it would take even longer than I may have thought to get through a page, and by extension, caught up with everything again. So, at least since I started taking part in this again, I had been avoiding it. However, I'll make an exception here. However, if after hearing the other version you don't feel like hearing basically the same song over again, feel free to pass on this. Nevertheless, I figured I'd include it. In general, I prefer the original, however, the English Version adds some more effects with the vocals that I do like. I think if you combined those added effects to the original, I'd like that fusion the best. As it is, I'll give the original the slight edge, but I probably like those particular sections in the English Version more, where I'd take the original everywhere else. --- xp1337: Don't you wish there was a spell-checker that told you when you a word out? |

| Level: 41 New Moderator | Desert of Despair - Ys Seven http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KnrObjp6RXg Water Prison got me interested in other Ys tracks. This one I came across when looking for music for a desert soundtrack I was making. It's got a pretty epic feeling to it. It makes me think of something that'd get you pumped enough to fight to, at least. It doesn't really make me think of a desert much at all, but as just a music piece, it makes the good mark in my book. --- "That was pretty interesting. But dropping a warship on me is cheating... | Level: 43 Editor | .hack//G.U. Vol 1//Rebirth - Gentle Hands Honestly, this reminds me a lot of Whereabouts of Truth. I actually felt like I had heard it before when I first listened to it. Not that that's really a bad thing. I'll go with another 8/10 here. I probably like Whereabouts of Truth a little bit more, though. .hack//G.U. Vol 1//Rebirth - Gentle Hands (English Version) Ending theme with English lyrics, time to bail for "spoilers" even though it's not really spoilers but oh well. Desert of Despair - Ys Seven hahaha what guitars in a desert I don't ****ing think so, no thank you 3.5/10 --- "There's a pony in the shop, but don't buy it. | Level: 43 Editor | Donkey Kong Land - Kremlantis http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R5wihueECGc&fmt=18 Donkey Kong Land is an awesome, awesome game. Unlike later Donkey Kong Land games, it wasn't a lousy, stripped down port of a DKC game, but an entirely new game with entirely new levels. And as usual for DKC games, it has some really good music! ...Notably less than the console games, but still! This is definitely fitting music for a water level. I like water levels in DKC games, I like this song, nothing to complain about here! It actually reminds me of Dire, Dire Docks a little bit, though I'm not sure why I'm reminded of that instead of Aquatic Ambience. Maybe because Kremlantis is a bit less atmospheric? I dunno. I still think it's pretty atmospheric, but Aquatic Ambience is practically all atmosphere. And of the two, I definitely like AA more, but that's really neither here nor there. --- "There's a pony in the shop, but don't buy it. In fact, it's so high that it really should be like an 8. literally admitting to giving me lower scores for the simple reason that i'm just doing so well in this topic. how classless. I probably like Whereabouts of Truth a little bit more, though. Pfft, wrong opinion alert. Desert of Despair - Ys Seven what kind of desert is this. That aside, this is pretty good. Unlike what it seems Kenri is doing by penalizing it for not sounding like a desert theme (which is true, but is a pretty classless reason for penalizing a song, but not nearly as classless as penalizing songs for winning the topic so badly) I'll say 6.5, probably a high 6.5. Donkey Kong Land - Kremlantis Eh, this is all right, better than average, but it is another victim to the 6.0 wall. So, this is a 5.5. It actually reminds me of Dire, Dire Docks what the how in the why would you associate the quality of dire dire docks with this? i should penalize this song for that comparison. but i won't because i don't penalize songs for arbitrary and irrelevant reasons. --- xp1337: Don't you wish there was a spell-checker that told you when you a word out? |

| Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | Neotokyo - Annul http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SefaT4qKInI&fmt=18 Here's a song I only heard for the first time very recently, but it immediately jumped very high on my list of favorites. This song is pretty hard for me to describe, but I really can't find any serious criticism I have with it. I really like every non-vocal effect, and I really enjoy the vocal effects too, both of them - which I need to elaborate more on. Along side the more "standard" vocals, you have another vocal effect which is what really made this song jump out to me. I'm pretty sure I'd still really like this song if that effect was not here, but it just grabbed my attention so well. When this song has all of this going at once, it's amazing, and even when they're not it's still excellent. Anyway, in case that same vocal effect doesn't jump out at you, at 3:02 - 3:06 it occurs while every other effect is not playing so it's impossible to miss. That's certainly not the first time it occurs though. Honestly, picking a favorite part is very difficult for me for that very reason, because it just does everything so well IMO. I'll say 4:32 - 6:36, but the truth is I could pick practically any part of this song. --- xp1337: Don't you wish there was a spell-checker that told you when you a word out? |
