MW3 looked really cool, at least, though it's hard for me to tell how much of it was actual gameplay and how much was basically a cinematic where you just have some level of control. Kind of a recurring problem with games they showcased, actually!

The new Tomb Raider actually looks awesome, but again, runs into the same problem as above. Also has an issue where Laura's screams/grunts/moans stop being realistic and start bordering on fetishistic very, very quickly. To a point where I was sort of embarrassed to be watching it. Probably my most anticipated game they showed off, in any case.

The Halo 1 remake has a really cool feature where you can apparently swap between the redone visuals and the original visuals at any point. Sounds really cool, even if it's more of a novelty than anything.

Sony's got Sly 4. Also the PlayStation Vita - formerly the NGP - starting at $250, or $300 for the good model. Not a bad showing all in all; wish they had spent more time on... you know, announcing new games, but whatever.

Also. Never played a call of duty have you? That's kinda how most of the campaigns are. Cinematics do exist, but they aren't really used, usually in the loading screens. You're basically there watching the event through your characters eyes.

Nah, I realize that, I just feel like they should be showing off gameplay at E3, not cinematics.

...But nobody really does that, this year at least.

I like how they never showed the console itself. And what the fuck? Early reports reported this thing is as or more powerful then the 360/PS3 and those graphics looked LAST generation.

Nah, it's not a new handheld, it's a console you control with an iPad. That really is what it is.

Those graphics weren't last gen. They weren't great, but I have to assume those were early builds. Still has me worried about what will happen when the next Microsoft and Sony consoles are released, though.

For me the highlights of the show were Luigi's Mansion 2 and especially the new footage of Super Mario 3D. <_<

Wii U looks interesting.

Overall the Nintendo conference lacked showing new things. There was Luigi's Mansion 2, and Wii U, and... That's it.

Sure, Smash Bros. 3DS & Wii U were announced, but that's it.

It was a fairly weak conf. overall.


More annoying, Xenoblade and The Last Story aren't on NoA's coming Wii games list...

Yeah, this really sums it up.

I can't help but feel like this would have passed a couple years ago, but nowadays I think most gamers have a "payment must be received upfront, cash only, no credit" stance with regards to Nintendo.

Also, I can't specify how many people I've read are now "demanding" Nintendo give them free stuff for getting 3DS at $250, now that it's known PSV will be the same price. Ugh.

It's now been revealed that the footage that was shown from Darksiders II, et al. was actually footage from the 360/PS3/PC versions of those games, not the WiiU versions, which apparently isn't ready yet.
