E3 proper starts tomorrow but we already know a few things, mostly about the WiiU. You can check it out yourself here:

Mostly deals with social networking stuff, which I imagine pleases someone, somewhere, but I don't really care personally. More importantly: the WiiU will also have a traditional controller. Pretty clearly resembles the 360 controller, which is a good thing.

scripted action sequences are kind of a new thing for gaming in general (like PS2-era, but especially this gen)
the fetish thing is why i never played any of the older tomb raiders, but i was under the impression the series had matured since uh... Underworld, was it? even way back though I feel like the draw was "omg boobs" not "omg a woman getting stabbed and smashed into walls"; both are pretty lowbrow by the former is somewhat less disturbing.

I played ONE tomb raider and thought it was pretty bad >_>
Tomb raider II on the PS1. The controls were HORRENDOUS.
Edit: I thought that tomb raider demo looked more like Uncharted. (From the PS3)

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 will receive a new stage featuring the Doggfather of Hip-hop himself, Snoop Dogg, Namco Bandai just announced during a press conference at E3. Players who pre-order the game will receive "early access" to the level, which features Snoop upon a massive throne, surrounded by, uhm, hip-hop females. More as it develops.

-Castlevania: Lords of Shadow: Mirror of Fate looks... iffy. Anything with the Lords of Shadow brand is gonna be a tough sell for me, but they seemed to be implying it would be a Metroidvania game, which would help. Not gonna help the ugly art style or awful looking combat, though. Konami's also fucked up their last two attempts at Metroidvanias, so gonna wait to see if by "emphasis on exploration" they mean "explore one enormous, mostly optional area" or "you can explore the HELL out of this straight corridor with one item in it".
-Luigi's Mansion: Dark World seems to be a bigger and less formulaic game than the first one. I'm actually really interested in this now, so good show.
-Epic Mickey 3DS is a spiritual sequel to Castle of Illusions. Storyline involves Maleficent stealing people's hearts, and Mickey needs to travel to various Disney worlds and fight famous Disney villains. That wasn't a joke, that's actually what the game is about. Look forward to an Epic Mickey world in KH3, everyone. (Note: KH3 still not announced.)
-Paper Mario: Sticker Star looks good. So, so good. Day one purchase, highlight of the conference good. Only negative is that it looks like there won't be any partners in the game.
-Lots of stuff nobody cares about or which was already announced. Squeenix game called Heroes of Ruin, not sure what it's about. Was only shown in a montage.
-New Super Mario Bros. 2, which is distinct from New Super Mario Bros. U, actually looks really promising. Seems to be much more about getting coins than just beating the levels. Has a challenge mode where you do three levels with one life only and try to get as many coins as possible (Disregard princesses; acquire coins). 2-player co-op confirmed. Tanooki Suit is back, can actually fly this time.
-And, oh yeah, apparently Fire Emblem Awakening was confirmed for the States... after the conference. The fact that it wasn't in the conference proper means we're probably looking at a 2013 release.
