Thoughts on which games?

Smash would probably be one of them. I'd probably pass on OOT and MM. I played the shit out of both of them on the N64.

What else is there in the RPG line?

Kingdom Hearts 3D was okay. So was Fire Emblem: Awakening, but that's a SRPG if that matters.

I have Persona Q but haven't started it yet. I'm assuming playing it without having played Persona 3 and 4 wouldn't be the best idea though.

That's about all I can speak to in terms of personal experience.

Kenri: The 2DS is $100 cheaper than the 3DS <_<
I'm not spending $100 more for some 3D shit I'll never use, and the non-folding design doesn't bother me.

xp: Not a fan of Fire Emblem. And I've played Persona 4. I posted about it in Kenri's gaming topic.

Some games are like almost literally unplayable without 3D.

The New 3DS just came out, if cost is your only concern maybe wait for the inevitable clearance of normal 3DSes?

Hmmm... I decided to look into the 2DS and apparently other adults have reported it being uncomfortable, especially those with large hands (I'm of that group).

I think I'll take Kenri's advice and hope 3DS' drop to <$130.

Aren't some games only going to be playable on the New 3DS? Like the Xenoblade port?

My fear is that some good games will be released like that and force me into making a decision over it rather than just sticking with my old 3DS.

So there could be that consideration as well.

I mean it has different controls and different specs so it makes sense that some games won't be backwards compatible.


Which games?

Super Mario 3D Land is the most notable one I think.
