| Level: 44 DSB Moderator | I'm not sure why that was called the game of the century. It's so boring to watch two defensive teams. --- "In the best relationships, nobody wears the pants." |

| Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | Defensive games are awesome, since they usually come down to special teams, which is something that nobody usually thinks of as the deciding factor. That punt that went over Maze's head was the best thing ever. | Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | Ogor, I want to say we talked about this before, but Boise. Think they have a chance at the National Title Game assuming LSU and Alabama win out, regardless of what the other teams do? At this point I'm pretty sure that they'd take a LSU v Alabama rematch over LSU v Boise. Even if Boise was the only other undefeated team. You know, just to troll. >_> I mean, it probably helped that LSU won that game, because an Alabama OT win at home would have provided the strongest case for a rematch. I think the ideal case for Boise (and everyone not named LSU and Alabama) was for LSU to win in a blowout, but what can you do? --- xp1337: Don't you wish there was a spell-checker that told you when you a word out? |

| Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | I'm aware that a 'Bama-LSU rematch is approximately 1,000 BILLION times as likely as BSU making it to the title game, but still. It's the principle of the matter! Besides, nobody (outside of the SEC) wants to see a second go-around of that matchup, so if that was the outcome chosen instead of putting BSU in there, the outcry would be much louder than if Stanford or OSU win out and get in there somewhat legitimately. By which I mean, there might actually be an outcry. Although, I guess that outcry would be more like "Why isn't Oklahoma playing for the title?" instead. (Which maybe could have been avoided had KSU not decided to suck!) At any rate, Boise certainly doesn't lose anything if it's the only non-LSU undefeated team remaining (that's not entirely true, since if Alabama's in the title game for some reason they can't be in the Sugar Bowl with Boise), and I especially loathe USC for literally giving them game away ON MY BIRTHDAY HOLY SHIT FUCK YOU LANE KIFFIN. ___ ~ Ogordemir ~ "The sciences have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age." ~ H.P Lovecraft, The Call of Cthulhu |
