It's that time a year again. Time for the Bucs to prove themselves a laughingsto - oh god they beat a division rival and are in sole possession of first place?!

The Jets beat the Bills finally.

one of my least favorite fun facts of last season was: if the jets beat the bills once last season they make the playoffs. if the jets beat the bills both times last season they are the 1 seed.

But now they're all set to have a no-good, terrible, awful 4 games.

like 1-3 over the next 4 games would almost feel like a victory

Just, but just imagine how bad it would have been if they'd lost! Then they'd have five awful games!

Meanwhile, the Bucs got absolutely obliterated by the Cards (in a game I almost drove up to watch before coming to my senses), but they're still in sole possession of first place in the division. Taste it, Panthers!

God the Bucs are fucking terrible.

They just gave up 37 points to the goddamn Rams (total number of points scored in previous two games: 9)(seriously!)(9!) and lost by 5 in a game in which they failed two two-point conversions and missed an extra point and a field goal.

Their "star" kicker, who they took in the second round, so should probably be some kind of living god, is playing at or below replacement level.

It's beautiful. Jason Licht and Dirk Koetter have created a masterpiece.

Good news everyone!

The Jets won on "points not scored off turnovers" 3-0!

...the bad news is with 8 turnovers i'm not even sure how many drives the chiefs had that would have even qualified.

The Bucs really went downhill. I put the blame entirely on the kicker. All of the points the defense gives up and all of the fumbleceptions the Winstonian offense barfs up are entirely his fault.

Still better than Carolina, though!

Oh boy.

Fitzpatrick just got pulled for Geno.

I clearly underestimated how bad the first half of the season could get.

Geno, at least, brings some excitement. You have no idea what he's capable of! Will he set a single-season record for sacks and interceptions? Maybe!

You know, I really do feel bad for him even though at this point I feel like the Jets might as well start the Bryce Petty Era.

Finally gets to start again and ends up injured in the 2nd Quarter and Fitzpatrick leads them to a win.

I don't think I've laughed quite as hard about a football game as I did last night. Just... wide left.

I'm a little mad I missed that game. Sounds hilarious.

I also made that Jets/Geno post before I heard it was a torn ACL. Ouch. When I watched the game I didn't think it was that serious and he'd be able to return next week.

Not sure how I feel about the Jets letting the Browns go up 13 on them in the first half.

i mean they remembered they were playing the browns in the second half and won but that doesn't exactly inspire confidence

Sometimes decent teams let atrocious teams score a ton of points on them! It's just science.

Man, the Bucs suck. I think it's time to fire everyone. Even the owners! Especially the owners.

offsides op plz nerf

Jets offside on a kickoff they stopped inside the 20 (i mean after about 6 missed tackles, but point is they got it eventually!)

allow a gw td return on the re-kick

seems imbalanced

Holy shit, the Bucs just beat Seattle.

They're just one game behind Atlanta.

This horrible team is in second place in the division 11 weeks into the season!

This division sucks so bad!

Jets forgot who they were for about 55 minutes and were actually leading the Patriots late in the 4th.

Then they remembered.

So, I don't know if anyone watched the Jets/49ers first quarter but if they did I am so sorry. The second quarter wasn't much better.

you know what the whole game wasn't much better

But the Jets in the first quarter/half were just beyond awful. At first I thought rock bottom was when they made the Browns look like they had a Top 3 passing attack. Then I thought it was whatever that was against the Colts. I was wrong.

and now i know better than to claim it's that first quarter-to-a-half because there are still 3 games left to play

But it was the 49ers so the Jets still somehow found a way to win even when they practically took a half off. >_>

It took all season, but the Jets finally made me smile.

If you haven't seen the Jets kickoff TD. Just... just watch it.

Text Explanation: Jets score a FG. On the kickoff, the Bills let the ball bounce from around the 15 back into the endzone. Jets recover for a TD.

it was amazing
