| Level: 43 Editor | Hokage - lit. "Fire Shadow". No relevance outside the Naruto ninja rank Amazingly, however, Sennin could work. "Immortal; hermit; sage; genie". Excerpt from the Wikipedia article In the late Heian period (794-1185), Chinese monks shrouded in mystery migrated to the Japanese provinces of Iga and Koga for political and religious reasons, their beliefs being a mixture between Buddhist, Hindu and Taoist ideas. They are said to be the Japanese equivalent of the Indian yogi. Living in the wild and without food they were the mythical first ninja, along with the gyoja (hermit warriors), yamabushi (mountain ascetic warriors) and the shugenja (shugendo). They were ninjas with great individual skill. --- "If I don't live diligently, I can't die. So I will fight. Even if... I have no chance of winning." ~Shinji Ikari, RE-TAKE |

In that case: the standard query + while loop (query array) method of accessing information from a database in PHP/MySQL stores the actual information in that array, not a reference to the information, which means that you can't update the information and expect that to be reflected in the while loop (i.e., you can't remove rows). As a result, if a character dies, I have to formulate some method for skipping their action without modifying the table, or otherwise it would be ignored. The method I used is a check for HP over a certain number, but I've added a second criteria, and that might be interfering with the first. This version of PHP, like the last, apparently can't handle a condition like (x or y) > 4. Or it could be something else. I guess things like Shadowalker would really be the only choice. | Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | Big League Chew. ...Confuzzled is me. Because sometimes it does detect the death and makes them take no action and sometimes it doesn't. However, this occurred far more frequently after this recent update, where I changed the criteria, which means the underlying problem is right there. I don't feel it needs to be a class unless it would replace Jonin. >_> Neither do I; however, I could make it a carbon copy of Jonin, only under the heading of a special class, which has quite a few benefits. It also means you could elect to not be a Jonin... but still be a Jonin! Honestly, I probably would replace Jonin, as you all seem to hate it, if it wouldn't take so much effort. This is a far easier solution and it holds benefits for everyone! Although I personally still prefer Jonin.
