Honestly, I probably would replace Jonin, as you all seem to hate it, if it wouldn't take so much effort. This is a far easier solution and it holds benefits for everyone! Although I personally still prefer Jonin.

Even described in that way, it doesn't deserve it still. >_>

Actually it's more of the fact that Jonin just doesn't sound that powerful.

No, it's just the fact that I don't like the idea done that way. Even if it would be the same as Jonin except with special boosts, I still don't like it. I'd rather it just replace Jonin or not be in at all. >_> So, not at all sounds fine to me.

Besides, if we did that, someone would want the same type of thing done with other classes. It's better if we not start that. >_>;

Not at all is even easier. I'm a big fan of that option.

It does if you don't know what it means!

lol arcane knight

Although AK actually serves a purpose in providing an actual route toward Arcane Colossus, a class I have an interest in.

It does if you don't know what it means!

"High Ninja" doesn't sound any more powerful than "High Summoner" or "High Warrior". <_< Might as well call them "Super Trainee".

Personally, I support the Shaman + Summoner = Hermit idea, although I still have no idea how that would work. You'd become a Shaman normally, then talk to a special NPC who would make you a Summoner, and at level 25 you become a Hermit? o_O

On a completely unrelated note, we need Crocodile Knights.

(For those wondering why I seemingly jumped to the Hermit discussion in the other topic from the Jonin/Sennin discussion in this topic, Sennin can mean Hermit as well. So this all goes full circle.)

I could do that, too.

...Nah.

I also specifically said if you don't know what it means. Eh?

No. You'd have to start as a Warrior or a Summoner, then change to the other class at level 25, then change to Shaman on level 25 again, then talk to the NPC. Because you have historically been a Summoner, and because you are currently a Shaman, you will have fulfilled both requirements.

...

Wait.

Butcher Punch + Summon Kraken (I think that's a base spell) + Shaman spells + Flesh-eating squirrels?

...Awesome. Awesome to the max.

I guess that rules out everyone cool. You're forgiven.

[1] Butcher Punch + [2] Summon Kraken (I think that's a base spell) + [3] Shaman spells + [4] Flesh-eating squirrels?

1. Yes.
2. Yes. Level 16, if I'm not mistaken.
3. Yes.
4. Yes.

START PROGRESS REPORT

- Ogor is managing depression!

END PROGRESS REPORT

On a more serious note, I've been designing some spells, because that's seriously all I've been able to handle.

START MORE RECENT PROGRESS REPORT

- Ogor has discovered the most idiot chain of errors ever.
- Ogor has also discovered he doesn't have any idea why they exist.
- Ogor is saddened to see that they are most likely imbedded firmly within approximately two thousand lines of code.
- Ogor is further saddened to realize he has no idea where to start looking.
- Ogor is scheduled for suicide on Monday morning at 9:03 AM.

END MORE RECENT PROGRESS REPORT

It appears the order in which I detail the effects of spells is paramount, for unknown reasons.

START EVEN MORE RECENT PROGRESS REPORT

- Ogor has discovered an ingenius workaround. This means the problem is still there, but for now the system is relatively stable.
- Ogor is now trying to find out why Fimbulvinter founds its way into attacks, but isn't actually generating the error, so unless that occurs Ogor will have no choice but to leave the error in place for now.

END EVEN MORE RECENT PROGRESS REPORT

Now all that remains is actually implementing an update.

I think I'll go pull that loose brick out of the corner of the wall and have a meeting with it and a few windows of the apartment complex across the street. Thanks for the offer however.

UPDATE -

1. Worldmap added as a popup.
2. Add the basic class trees Bard/Dancer -> Magician -> Jester, Tamer -> Beastmaster -> Transfigurist (Morpher reminded me too much of the Power Rangers, you see), and Apprentice -> Blackbelt -> Doshu. They don't currently have any shops, weapons, or spells.
3. Added some equipment for some other classes, including, um, a weapon for Necromancers. Yeah. >_>
4. Changed the field system entirely, a process which took the better part of the past five hours of my life. Now it should be a million times easier to expand.
5. Added four new special classes: Arcane Knight (not complete), Dragon Knight, Berserker, and Hermit. These classes also lack spells etc., although they have limited and specific class memory, a couple of them. And for the love of God, don't accidentally turn anyone into a Dragon Knight.

Over the next few days I will attempt to -

1. Add a worldmap section to the management page, allowing you to set the spacing and set whether or not it pops up automatically.
2. Add items and spells for the new classes.
3. Further modify Arcane Knight so that it can learn the spells it's supposed to be able to learn.
4. Fix all the remaining navigation errors.
5. Fix any stability issues in the battle system that might remain - i.e., Fimbulvinter taking over your characters.

It's the only one where you might stumble into the NPC and click buttons and suddenly find yourself with a Dragon Knight. The others have several requirements.
