OK: Omega Cyclone I could imagine, but Lambda Burst? How can a "burst" refer to a letter of the Greek alphabet, much less something as unburstlike as a little hooked tent? Furthermore, though Omega Cyclone could be virtually any kind of cyclone, as "cyclone" isn't verblike, the verb-to-noun-like properties of burst and traditional usage compell one to imagine this spell actually causes lambdas to burst (otherwise we're forced to use lambda as some sort of degree classifier, leaving us with imagining a disembodied burst of nothingness). Unless this was the intended effect, ew.

I've heard of titles used for naming spells/events/whatever in TCG's, but this I believe is the first time I've seen something like a class name as a spell name in an RPG.

They're "spirit link spells", the strongest spells in Baten Kaitos. I forget what they do exactly, but IIRC they're basically spells that summon the DoD/SS to attack once, then they disappear. So they're just normal spells with the flavor of a summon, or something.

Kalas (main character of Baten Kaitos) uses two swords that look a bit like teeth (canines, specifically). This spell infuses them with holy light or something and attacks the enemy for a drain effect.

All of Aika's spells use Greek letters - Alpha Storm, Delta Shield, Lambda Burst, Omega Cyclone. *shrugs*

The reason for this is, given the lack of limitations on stat distributions, it was previously possible to, say, channel all of an Archer's stat points into Magic Attack and SP, then rely on weapons and armor for attack and defense boosts while taking advantage of the MA and SP in the form of hideous damage. This puts magic classes at a disadvantage, as they aren't capable of getting that physical boost from weapons and armor.
This won't change won't affect characters that already know these spells, as I'm too lazy to go delete them.

Meanwhile, I'll add consumable items in place of healing spells for non-Cleric-y classes. For now, it's rather prudent to keep a Cleric around. I'm going to be adding another ally soon, so that should be possible.
