Yes, that's because it doesn't check the new HP values for main characters immediately, but relies on information archived from prior to the turn's evaluation. This was a stupid mistake on my part. >_>

That's... actually predictable. Although it's also an easy fix, if it's the problem I'm thinking of.

I'll only do that when it's in flavor. I'm mildly annoyed when random bosses just regenerate because they think it's cool.
Plus, it should have a spell that removes a party member completely and they can't be revived.
Only when that's in flavor. Because it's complicated-sounding. And overpowered.

There should still be spells that damage entire groups. If not for players, then at least for monsters. >_>

Oh, there are, and there will be more. Currently I believe there's Judgment and... ah, hell, I don't even know. But Judgment hits everything on the other side of the table.

I'm aware of judgment, but we need more. Like a Shock and Blaze that hits the entire other side. I've wanted those for some time now. >_>
Having to race is also hard.
You don't really have to race them.. Just steadily pile up the damage. xp could have still killed Poseidon the way he did, even with it healing like 100 HP a turn, it would have just taken an extra turn or two. Now, if he was healing 1000 HP a turn.. then it'd be unfair.
