1. Something needs to be done about the gold cap. A player is VERY rewarded for either not going past 2nd stage or getting a special class for their main character because this eliminates the gold penalty. With EXP it's fine because it just affects the one character, but gold influences the entire team.

Agreed.

Suggestions?

2. Mounts need to not be unequipped when they die. As they die quite often, and re-equipping them is a pain. (Actually, this may be resolved and I just don't know. My mounts are like level 70, so they don't exactly die frequently.)

That was done mostly for flavor reasons, but yes, I see your point. That is quite annoying.

3. The speed issue really needs to be resolved, as it makes the game very unpleasant to play if you're one of the people who ALWAYS goes last against anything.

That requires debugging, because as far as I can tell, speed is working fine. I'm just ordering records in a table by descending speed values, really. :\

4. There should be more NPCs. Right now the game reminds me of Shadow of the Colossus - there's a huge world, but it's mostly empty.

There should be more everything, really.

5. Some of these NPCs should probably drop cryptic hints about how to get mixed classes.

Yessir.

9. I am offended that Hermits got shoved into the Shaman shop. :(

I gave them the Necromancer treatment. >_>

11. I'd like "memory" to allow the learning of spells of your old class(es), if it doesn't already. The way I think it is currently rewards players for how late they start playing (as the classes will obviously have more spells then than they do now).

Classes That Keep Previous Class Memory
2nd stage classes
3rd stage classes
Mixed/hybrid classes

Classes That Lose Previous Class Memory
Special classes not listed below (Class I)

Classes That Lose Previous Class Memory But Can Learn Spells From Certain Lesser Classes Anyway (Class II)
Arcane Knight
Hermit
Berserker

So... only Necromancers and Dragon Knights get shafted, I think, and Necromancers will have derivative Class II Special classes (Arcane Knight is one of those).

Suggestions?

Removing the 10% Gold unless two or more members of your party are third class? That seems fair enough to me since the gold is something that effects the whole group and not just one person and in that situation at least half of the group or the majority would be third class.

That requires debugging, because as far as I can tell, speed is working fine. I'm just ordering records in a table by descending speed values, really. :\

It seems to work fine for me too. I mean, randomly it'll switch up who goes first.. but I only have base speed or slightly above/below it on my characters. So, I should be relatively slow most of the time.

So... only Necromancers and Dragon Knights get shafted, I think, and Necromancers will have derivative Class II Special classes (Arcane Knight is one of those).

Yep, that seems to be the way it is thus far.

Someone tell me when the classes that matter (Arcane Knight, Matriarch, Elite Marksman, Commander, or anything in their tiers or sphere of influence) get things.

I say this because I'm way too lazy/apathetic to check myself, other than the brief check I just did.

Okay, sounds great. <_<

I'd say 3 or more, personally, but this sounds good.

That was done mostly for flavor reasons, but yes, I see your point. That is quite annoying.

Well, it's not that big a deal since mounts get EXP even when not equipped. And if it's for flavor reasons, I can live with it! >_>

Kenri has the other classes I think.. but Commander won't be getting any equipment for a little while. I'm not making any more stuff (for any class really) until more story and such like that gets done so not to subtract attention from that. However, I did make a new spell for Knights (I think. Either them or Commanders. Meh.).. it's just not added yet. Though it was given to Ogor to add, so maybe in this next update. <_<

I have Matriarch and E. Marksman, but Arcane Knight was never grabbed by anyone AFAIK.

Matriarch has TONS of stuff, and E Marksman has more stuff than a lot of classes. So yeah, they're not high on my priority list.

Oh right, I missed Arcane Knight.. I think we agreed to just make stuff as it came up as far as they go.. but if not I could always just take that class too. I'm pretty good with Knightly classes and such. <_<

Although I too hate the whales, they're the one thing I have yet to beat.

I think they'll have to be the subject of a quest whereupon one discovers a spell that prevents things from running away. That'll make the whales easy targets.

I beat Post-Crisis God, but I can't take a whale. That's kind of sad.

That's because the whales are cowardly critters.

I dislike this idea.

This has nothing to do with the fact that yesterday I created a similar spell for Marshals and have yet to pitch it.

Something tells me I need a Soldier. Or a Mage of some sort.

My Marshal can't damage them, my Master can't damage them, my Warlord can't damage them without using Berserk, my Pre-Hermit obviously can't damage them, and even my Jonin can't damage them. :(

Actually, my Master can do 8 damage to them with Trample. :(

Master needs some sort of instant-kill spell. Or a spell that severely weakens the target by an amount based on the different between their max HP and their current HP.

I LIKE THE WAY YOU THINK. Would this theoretical instant-kill spell give EXP and Gold?

Or a spell that severely weakens the target by an amount based on the different between their max HP and their current HP.

Oh, I figured your guy was a Soldier and was using that really overpowered Soldier tech that ignores defense. <_<
