| Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | The "one level off" error has been fixed. For future reference ">" != ">=". >_> ___ ~ Ogordemir ~ "The sciences have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age." ~ H.P Lovecraft, The Call of Cthulhu |

| Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | The total level problem with switching out characters has been fixed. I haven't restored actual total levels though. Tell me what characters were affected so I can nerf them. >_> Also, tell what characters lost SPs/how many SPs through experimentation with the allocator. Kenri's/everyone's problem with the Reflecting Pool has also been fixed. The issue there was my retardation. ___ ~ Ogordemir ~ "The sciences have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age." ~ H.P Lovecraft, The Call of Cthulhu |

| Level: 43 Editor | Also, tell what characters lost SPs/how many SPs through experimentation with the allocator. My main guy (Kenri) lost 2. Don't worry about giving them back, it's not worth it. >_> --- "There's a pony in the shop, but don't buy it. It might do something unfortunate to you." ~from the first Summoner's Seal topic |

| Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | Nah, it's ridiculously easy to do. In other news, Judgment has been nerfed.

| Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | The Envoy class got a fairly complicated spell called Diplomatic Response. Someone should test it. >_> ___ ~ Ogordemir ~ "The sciences have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age." ~ H.P Lovecraft, The Call of Cthulhu Message last edited by Ogordemir99 on 1/3/2010 at 01:59:06 AM |

| Level: 43 Editor | ...After some stupidity because I forgot I had two mounts, here's what I've got: If there are more enemies, everyone gets a small boost (~8) to ATK and MATK If there are the same number or fewer enemies, everyone gets healed by a small amount (~8 HP). Edit: Including mounts that aren't in the battle, incidentally. Re-edit: ...Yeeeah, even after giving the mounts to a guy and putting the guy in the tavern, it still acts like they're in the battle. --- "There's a pony in the shop, but don't buy it. | Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | Re-edit: ...Yeeeah, even after giving the mounts to a guy and putting the guy in the tavern, it still acts like they're in the battle. Yeah, and I think this is causing those errors you see and causing the spell to work incorrectly for you. Thanks, Diplomatic Response! Incidentally, the reason putting a guy into a tavern isn't going to help anything is that the mount still exists as an ally independent of the character it's equipped to, which is the cause of the error. I think I'm going to have to change the architecture of the game to start deleting mounts when they're unmounted or their owners are switched out. This could cause some problems.

| Level: 43 Editor | Okay, so I managed to get an ally killed off, which should... hopefully let me test the spell. ...Except now it seems to be: You have more guys: Buff everyone You have the same number of guys: The Envoy attacks a couple of opponents They have more guys: The Envoy attacks a couple of opponents ... I don't even know. This doesn't make sense to me. >_> As an aside, the octopus/squid/shark/father trout need to give substantially more EXP. Like 5x more. I got 33 EXP from killing 4 Sharks, a Father Trout, and a Salmon. --- "There's a pony in the shop, but don't buy it. It might do something unfortunate to you." ~from the first Summoner's Seal topic |

| Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | It's actually not that bad, considering the Cleric has a spell that makes everything do half damage for a turn no matter how strong it is. <_< Plus, the SP pool of a tier one class is rather low so you'd probably cast it like once and be out of SP. EDIT: I also realized I messed up and that's supposed to be 1.2x. Whoops. +++ "Enough is enough! | Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | I don't even know. This doesn't make sense to me. >_> It's: You > Them: Heal everyone equal to 11% of the Envoy's ATK. You = Them: Boost everyone's ATK and MATK equal to 7% of the Envoy's MATK or MDEF or something. You < Them: Exert (or perform a slightly weaker attack if the target is exhausted) randomly-chosen enemies until (a) the number of characters on both sides is equal, (b) the total damage dealt (including exertions) exceeds or equals the Envoy's max HP, or (c) zero or less damage would be dealt to any potential targets (to stop infinite loops). Your extra unequipped mounts is throwing off your count.

| Level: 43 Editor | Your extra unequipped mounts is throwing off your count. I thought I was accounting for them, though! | Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | I could kill all your unequipped mounts for you. That would help. >_> Also: As an aside, the octopus/squid/shark/father trout need to give substantially more EXP. Like 5x more. I got 33 EXP from killing 4 Sharks, a Father Trout, and a Salmon. Sounds about right. That's 3.3% of the total you need to gain a level and those things all suck anyway.

| Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | [Spoiler for Occultist Spells!, click to show]Name: Steel to Sand Target: One Foe Effect: Uses the DEF of your foe against him + your MATK power to deal critical damage. (The math for this one is all on you, Ogor.) Flavor: Silly armored person is silly. And dead. Class: Occultist SP: 20 Name: Truth or Fiction? Target: One Foe Effect: Distract your foes with decades of lost knowledge, forcing them to lose all their SP. (Success chance could go off of your MATK vs their MDEF and some random number. If it fails, you lose all of your SP instead.) Flavor: Are you really alive? Are you sure? Class: Occultist SP: 50 Name: Lost Touch Target: One Ally Effect: Heals 5%, 10%, or 20% of your ally's HP or randomly kills them. Flavor: This could be a good touch... or a very bad one. Class: Occultist SP: 20 Name: Thread of Life Target: One Ally or All Allies Effect: Kill yourself to revive either one or all allies using lost arts. Flavor: Suicide is life! Class: Occultist SP: All </spoiler> Yeah, I realize a few of these could be for other classes, but with a name like Occultist there's not a lot to work with that couldn't fall under something else. >_> It's a very vague name. +++ "Enough is enough! | Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | Scorp: Note that Occultist is Tier IX, so designing spells for it at this point seems ineffective. It takes more effort to kill that than it does a group of Squirrels and the Squirrels pay out better EXP. >_> It's sad, but true. The fish should be more EXP like Kenri said. Hm, OK.
