| Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | I would like to begin by saying that I am a moron. Now that that's out of the way, I may introduce you to the New Method of Posting Items, a method we should have used in the first place. You may be surprised at this development; I mean, that weird scripty format is so awesome, right? Eh? ...Anyone? Luckily, I have written a script to convert the standard format into the weird scripty format. The basic principle looks a lot like this: Pretty, legible writing goes in Hideous, unintelligible bullshit comes out This method is even more efficient than having you write in the weird scripty format, because there are only 1-2 fields I need to adjust before I can insert everything into the database. In other words, you could give me, say, 500 effect-less, single-class items in this format and it would take me perhaps five minutes to add them all to the game. So, from now on, this is how you should present your items: Name: Item name Type: Use the fields in the "Equipped Items" items.php popup as a guide (should be obvious) Cost: Item cost (no commas) Class: The class(es) it's for (if multiple, see note below) Level: Level requirement Boosts: Example +15 SP, +5 DEF, +10 MDEF any order Description: Item Description For unusual items (e.g., items with multiple possible classes or items with effects), add this field to flag the item as odd: Note: If there's an effect, specify. If the item's got multiple classes and you specified above, say anything you want. >_> And here are two other maybe-useful fields: Sex: For sex-specific items Race: For race-specific items Make sure the only periods you use are in the Note or Description fields and you're set. This all only applies to items for the time being. Continue to post spells as normal until I devise a script for those as well. ___ ~ Ogordemir ~ Buddha promised me Nirvana and all I got was this lousy T-shirt. | Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | But.. Wasn't that essentially how I've been doing it from the start, Ogor? >_> +++ http://i15.tinypic.com/4c1rtwh.jpg If only the Catholics would really see the light.. *sigh* |

| Level: 43 Editor | Sounds good. I was going to suggest something like this, but I figured it wasn't important considering we could just use the script. But this is much more... user friendly, or something. >_> --- "Everything lasts forever." ~Homer Simpson "It says no Homers. We're allowed to have one." |

| Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | Wasn't that essentially how I've been doing it from the start, Ogor? Yes, I was in the process of manually reformatting your items when I wrote the script, and when I needed testing material, your format was the most readily available. But this is much more... user friendly, or something. Yes, I think this is better for everyone. ^_^ ___ ~ Ogordemir ~ Buddha promised me Nirvana and all I got was this lousy T-shirt.
