There's something fundamentally wrong with that.

Edit: Quote from Ogor:

The DSB is not a part of TFN, should not be considered a part of TFN, and will likely never be a part of TFN. The DSB is a [complete] port of the GF DSB here, without assimilating any of TFN's "culture" or "history", and is not meant to integrate with TFN. (For all it has to do with TFN, I could have given them their own website, but I felt that was unnecessarily overcomplicated.)

There is a TFN and there is a DSB. They are not the same. They will not be treated the same.

This is in fact a compelling argument and will be considered whenever I have the time to do so this weekend. >_>

What does it matter Kenri? Why all of a sudden is this a problem for you? Half us that post on the DSB also post in other topics here on TFN. Weather our post's are in the DSB or elsewhere on the flux they should count. It's not like those of us that post on the dsb sit there and post only there. I have posted in several topic's through out my time here on TFN.

Just because the DSB is a private board doesn't mean that we aren't part of the flux as a whole. We have to come to the flux to post just like you do to. So I think our post's there should count in our user post count. Besides whats the big deal are you jealous because some of us have a higher post count than you? Big fucking deal your a mod not everyone can say that.

Agreed with TG

I have 30 shrines, 37 exp and only 351 posts. Adding all my posts up, I'd have close to, if not more than, what you have. Don't see me complaining. Aside from being banned every other week. That I do complain about. <_<

I'm not saying all your posts shouldn't count, just the ones that aren't part of TFN. Otherwise we might as well start counting GameFAQs posts, right? >_>

This is a dumb request, because I don't see any of us here giving a shit how many posts people have. <_<

Except for Kenri.

It just means more work for Ogor on something that people wouldn't care about in a few days.

If it's not a big deal, why do you care about it being fixed? The way is it right now directly contradicts what we've been told about the TFN/DSB relationship.

Now, if it's a lot of work, obviously it isn't worth it. But I can't imagine it's much trouble at all to fix.

Status quo is trying to be changed, so you must be the one presenting the arguments. Saying that we're against it and thus making it a big deal = circular reasoning created on your part.

You assume that just because I brought it up, it means I care.

The answer is much simpler: I saw something that wasn't working correctly, and I brought it up so it can be fixed.

I've done this many, many times throughout TFN's history, and I believe this is the only time I've actually been met with resistance. "Why do you care?" or "It doesn't matter" aren't good counter-arguments. This is an error, I will treat it as such.

You guys with your "it isn't a big deal" attitudes are getting in the way of progress.

Wow... <_< Take me off that list and you probably wouldn't have an issue. Also the fact that the posting virtually stopped after Scorp "disappeared" kind of makes your argument irrelevant. It's been like this for months without you noticing, it's not broke. And post count really doesn't matter much since the topics never delete. If they did, then I would lose a lot of great material for abusing myself with- I mean, highly intellectual studies for... studying...

No, actually, it still is. For example, you're a mod, you can see the Control Panel. Go to the Control Panel, and click on User Directory, under the Moderation header. Note that it doesn't work. Have you noticed this? And if you have, I can probably rattle off a few other things on TFN that are broken, but you may not have noticed.

Hehe... awesome... anyway, not sure what the broken link has to do with post counts though. But it's apparent to me that you're not getting anyone on board with your petition. Maybe if you phrased your argument better...

His point is that lots of things on TFN are broken and have been for months, if not years. So an argument of "It's been like that for X, therefore it can't be broken!" is false.

And he's right about that.

However, this particular petition is pretty unnecessary.

But it's apparent to me that you're not getting anyone on board with your petition. Maybe if you phrased your argument better...

Maybe petition was the wrong word, I should have said "Problem" or "Glitch" instead, maybe that way people wouldn't take this as a personal attack.

Look, there is no reason NOT to add this to the long list of "Things that are wrong with TFN that may or may not ever get fixed" other than "I want to keep my post count really high". If the DSB were part of TFN, I would not have brought this up, but seeing as how it is not part of TFN...

Well I really don't see how it's not part of the flux considering we have to come to the flux to post. We ditched the gamefaqs dsb because of the mods.

Yeah, they're seperate. I still don't see how the post count is effecting this glitch though... but I'm not a computer monkey so I don't know a lot of things about code and shit. If someone who knew what they were doing was really bored, they could just adjust it so that posts in the DSB don't count towards your total.
