I don't think it's necessary, but it does fit as well as Shaman/Elder, if not better. I don't feel it's needed either really. Other classes kind of already do what a Druid is capable of and noted for doing from several different mediums. That being Healers, Animal Enthusiasts, and Nature Lovers. It's already pretty well covered by other classes really, so I don't see it as needed. I thought you might have that opinion. Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major	Yeah, wtf is that? Couldn't they have just reprinted DH? The arguments against are "is broken lol", but seriously: (a) No Cradle, no problem. (b) There are no other cards that work with squirrels (except Swarmyard), so he would be even more deranged now than he was then. (c) Nine power for ten mana is actually underpowered. (d) Four power for five mana (because he'll, like, get Seal of Fire or Electrolyze'd immediately, or you won't bother to pay the echo cost) is also underpowered. (e) They reprinted Call of the Herd. Honestly, the only deck it'd be even remotely broken in is Glare or Pandemonium, and Thelonite Hermit isn't breaking any games in half in Glare, while Pandemonium is currently twiddling its thumbs in the corner. He makes Dread Return ridiculous, but so do Thelonite Hermit and Skeletal Vampire, to a certain extent, and reanimator is about as dead an archetype as can be imagined. Plus, with the abundance of Pyroclasm and Wrath, the field is more than prepared to deal with him.
