Make an NPC who starts the quest. 2. Make some quest items that are only dropped by some monsters after the quest is started. 3. Make bosses that only appear if you have those quest items. Sounds easy. ___ ~ Ogordemir ~ Buddha promised me Nirvana and all I got was this lousy T-shirt. "Democracy is the bludgeoning of the people, by the people, for the people." ~ Oscar Wilde |

| Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | Basically, yes. Correct. Except, the quest item drop should be either somehow disabled once you get it once or made worthless to shops when the sell feature is in. You should also still be able to rebattle the boss for his rare item drop, so taking away the quest items that make him appear once you get the item should be out of the question. =/ +++ http://i15.tinypic.com/4c1rtwh.jpg If only the Catholics would really see the light.. *sigh* |

| Level: 43 Editor | Vampire Lord doesn't have enough HP. I forsee xp OTKing it and farming it for EXP/Gold, thus quickly becoming the strongest party by an even larger margin. Edit: Actually, after doing a double take and seeing its defenses, never mind. <_< Also, a Paladin wielding a vampiric weapon makes no sense at all. --- "If I don't live diligently, I can't die. | Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | Also, I'm not sure that "margin" even exists. I've lost interest in SS, and so I haven't played in nearly a month. | Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | Also, a Paladin wielding a vampiric weapon makes no sense at all. Well, to an extent yes, but considering the fact Veinslay is actually a "somewhat" holy weapon at it's base it does. The only real reason it has Drain Power is because of the Vampire Lord that drops it. Think of it as a modified ability if you will. | Level: 43 Editor | omg master spells. These might not work, either for mechanical, flavor, or power reasons. I was trying to establish a bit of a Master/Necromancer rivalry since the two classes seem somewhat similar to me, but if you don't like that, just change the flavor texts. <_< Grave Tidings is the spell I'm most worried will fall under all three of those categories, as it has the potential to be broken, impossible to make, and out of flavor for Masters. Name: Execute SP Cost: 35 Cost: 3,000 Level: 3 Tier: Master Targets: One enemy Description: Don't worry. You'll die, but at least the Necromancers won't get a hold of you. Effect: Inflicts MATK-based damage. If it kills the target, they can't be revived during the same battle. Name: Strength of Silence SP Cost: 30 Cost: 2,500 Level: 5 Tier: Master Targets: Self only Description: Destruction sounds the same in every language. Effect: Boosts MATK by a decent amount. Name: Sin Cannon SP Cost: 50 Cost: 6,616 Level: 10 Tier: Master Targets: One enemy Description: It's mighty wicked. Effect: Normal MATK-powered attack that gains strength for each enemy killed already in the current battle Name: Grave Tidings SP Cost: X (if possible) Cost: 17,000 Level: 17 Tier: Master, maybe Necromancers too Targets: One ally Description: Masters learned from Necromancers how to draw on the power of the dead. Obscene? Perhaps, but rather effective. Effect: Boosts target's ATK by (X/2) if X is even, boosts target's MATK by (X/2) if X is odd. Again, if this is possible. Name: Karmic Possession SP Cost: 80 Cost: 9,500 Level: 20 Tier: Master Targets: Any one target Description: YOU shall be my shield. Effect: Basically pulls target in front of caster, so they take all attacks meant for the caster. Name: Do or Die SP Cost: 160 Cost: 20,000 Level: 27 Tier: Master Targets: All enemies Description: Sometimes looking out for yourself just isn't enough. Effect: Kills caster. Inflicts damage equal to caster's DEF to all enemies. --- "Everything lasts forever." ~Homer Simpson "It says no Homers. We're allowed to have one." |

| Level: 43 Editor | Hey Scorp, I want Warriors. I'm willing to trade Archer or Cleric for it. <_< In the mean time, here's stuff for ninjas, horsemen, and apprentices. More comin', too. As usual, feel free to offer fixes/constructive criticism/insults. Name: Aura Theft SP Cost: 50 Cost: 5,000 Level: 11 Tier: Jonin Targets: Any one target Description: I'll take that. Effect: Steals an enchantment Name: Terminate Wind SP Cost: 23 Cost: 1,600 Level: 4 Tier: Assassin Targets: Entire field except self Description: Ninjas are so elitist, they think the wind both sucks AND blows. Effect: Inflicts minor SP damage to the entire field (except the caster) Name: Wild Horses SP Cost: 40 Cost: 950 Level: 25 Tier: Horseman Targets: Entire field Description: Giddy-up. Effect: Boosts everyone's ATK by a random amount (between x and y, obviously) Name: Joust SP Cost: 80 Cost: 8,000 Level: 1 Tier: Rider Targets: One enemy Description: Dost thou thinketh thou can poppeth mine balloons? Effect: Locks the enemy into 1 vs 1 combat with the caster - all targeted spells and attacks can only target the other Name: Pretty Good Move SP Cost: 15 Cost: 300 Level: 2 Tier: Apprentice Targets: Self only Description: Well, not really. Effect: Slightly softens the next attack to hit caster and counterattacks the source of that attack for minor damage Name: Breathing Exercise SP Cost: 0 (!) Cost: Get it from an NPC Level: 1 Tier: Apprentice Targets: Self only Description: Take a deep breath. Effect: Restores 10 SP. --- "Everything lasts forever." ~Homer Simpson "It says no Homers. | Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | I'm aware of that, Ogor. >_> I was just saying from a balance toward class items it's better if the "base trees" are divided between people so as to ensure production of items for other classes at the same time since the base classes are the most important to get item production because you have to pick those to start with.
