When: Wednesday, August 23rd
Purpose: Game development

Things You Should Know

1. Your characters will not be deleted. They may, however, be altered, particularly in the realm of spells/items.

2. The beta will introduce classes, allies (well, one ally), and consumable items. It will also expand the world, add new spells, monsters, etc., etc.

3. It is currently unclear to me if Alpha testing will be before I leave for Europe or if the Beta will continue uninterrupted throughout that month-long period until my return.

4. The game will most likely be released in v. 1.0 form on October 29th, 2006.

I'm assuming it's a Eureka 7 reference, that or some other mecha anime/video game. <_<

Meh. In SRT: OG, the basic mech you use for a few chapters (before getting teh red unicorn :D:D:D) is called Gespenst mkII. So I figured mecha.

How about Sonic? Was there a robot called E-101 Beta mkII or something? >_>

In Sonic Adventure, there's a robot named E-101 Beta who you fight as the first Boss for E-102 Gamma.

After you beat him, he comes back as E-102's Final Boss as an upgraded version named E-101 Beta mkII.

Awesome fight with awesome music.

MMO - Yes, a feature that will be implemented in October or afterwards, if there is an afterwards.

Selling - Of course. It's not like it's hard to code or anything. I'm just going to be a sneaky little man and make shops specifically for selling items. Also, transports (mounts for your whole party) will only be available in their own specific shops.
