-We're in Yormgen now. Everyone says it's sorta creepy? I don't get it, but they'd know better than I would. I'm assuming it's full of immortals, though, as that's the only way this plot would make any sense.

<3 Yormgen. Favorite town theme in the game.

-----

-Meeting with Belius. There seems to be some pronoun trouble regarding him/her. >_>;

I can't tell if it was intentional because Belius is/was so secretive, or if it was just translation lolz. I think translation lolz because IIRC even Natz screws it up, and he should know better.

-----

-Okay, secret mission here was easy and obvious. Boss fight was tough but manageable.

Yeah, Belius was the first boss to give me any trouble since Gattuso. Not nearly as much trouble as Gattuso, but I had been cruising through everything after that until Belius was a minor speed bump.

Also, <3 Battle Theme in that fight. Awesome as hell.

-----

-Back in the Weasand of Cados. Killed a Hermit Drill. I'm guessing (hoping?) that there aren't any secret missions for Giganto Monsters. <_<

Nope. No secret missions. Even if there were, they do respawn. Kind of. After you beat them once, there seems to be a random chance they'll be there again on any subsequent visit/reload of the area. Can get annoying when you need to grind the material they drop.

[Spoiler for ToV, click to show]-Stupid secret mission. I figure I have to do the same thing to both of them, knock them off guard after they use some move? I can do it for Tison just in the process of beating on him, but I can't figure out how to do it against Nan.

-There really needs to be a way to skip cutscenes.

-Ha. Figured it out and got it.

-...Wait. Holy ****. Did we kill them? Really? I thought at least Nan would survive. Not that I'm not ecstatic, of course.

-BA'ULMON DIGIVOLVE TO...

FIERTABA'ULMON!

-"Maybe if I become a little more decisive, Nan will listen to me as well."

Ah. So she DID survive, I guess.

-"We'll FINALLY be getting around to one of the first things we set out to do."

Well said, Yuri. <_<

-So, as soon as I got control of the ship, I pretty much just explored the world map for like 30 minutes, trying to fill it all in. >_>

-Huh. Stopped at the inn in Mantaic for my own reasons, and got a sidequest scene thingy out of it.

-In Phaeroh's Crag now.

-Hey, uh, Yuri. You might want to remember that you are a pot before you call any more kettles black.

-Stop apologizing, Colette.

-"I get the feeling he'd do whatever's necessary when push comes to shove." "That sounds like you."

See? Rita gets it.

-Back in Aspio. Karol just took a third option. <_<

-I'll find the Krityan person tomorrow. Stopping for now.

[Spoiler for ToV, click to show]-Picking up where I left off, I find a Krityan guy in Aspio, but he says he doesn't know where Myorzo is, and even if he did, he would only tell a Krityan. I look around elsewhere for a while before going "DUH!" and switching my party leader to Judith and talking to him again.

-All right, now we're getting somewhere. We got a quest to drive out some jerks. When that's over we can go to Myorzo.

-After some searching, I find Egothor Forest. Niiiice music. This might honestly be my favorite tune in the game so far.

-Alexei's knights are the jerks ****ing up Egothor Forest. I KNEW he was evil!

-That's it? No Giganto Monster? No boss? >_> Though I think I couldn't explore part of it... So maybe I'll have to return later.

-In Myorzo, the obligatory flying city. Though it's also inside a huge jellyfish. So THAT's different.

-[talking about Raven and Karol being disappointed that people in Myorzo don't dress like Judith] "Is it me, or are you a little disappointed too, Yuri?" "It's you."

The delivery makes it great. <_<

-Looooore.

-Okay, so our plan is to find the Rizomata Formula and use that to prevent the awakening of the Adephagos. However, I believe it would be easier to just let the Adephagos be awakened and then kill it with fire.

Since, you know, that's what we'll end up doing in the end, anyway. JRPG and all.

-Estelle and Raven are missing. Dammit.

-Back in Yormgen, except it's destroyed now. Hm.

-I totally called Alexei being evil.

-In Baction Shrine now.

-"Victory pose!" [beat] "Hey, you too!" "OH HELL NO!"

-Okay, we're screwed. Duke's here to kill us.

-Oh, huh, guess he's a good guy... FOR NOW.

-Also, he's the Emperor that's gone missing or is supposed to be dead or whatever. I'm calling this. So far I've been doing pretty well calling the plot twists in advance, so yeah.

-DEIN NOMOS GET. (holy hell this sword is powerful)

-Fun fact for you guys: Did you know that it's really, really hard to walk off the edge of a cliff? So this whole "navigate a maze without falling" thing is stupid. Not difficult. Just stupid.

-We really need to stop letting villains monologue. Once you can throw fireballs at people with your mind, listening to the villain is no longer necessary.

-DM: Alexei uses Estelle's power to shroud the room in aer.
Yuri: I cast Magic Missile.
DM: ...At what?
Yuri: I CAST MAGIC MISSILE AT THE AER!

-Estelle: The more I wish to be with you... The more my fate will bare its fangs at you! No matter what sea I go to, I have this great foe I can't shake! BECAUSE MY ENEMY IS... THE WORLD... AND ITS DARKNESS!

-No, I'm serious, WHY DO WE LET OUR ENEMIES JUST WALK AWAY? >_>

-...Oh HELL no. The mysterious Schwann shows his face. I really should have seen this coming.

-Couldn't get the secret mission here. Upon looking up what it is... yeah. Let's get this next time.

-...What. WHAT. WHAT. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF-

-...You know, part of me thinks he's just going to pop up again out of nowhere because that's what he does.

-****. I ran into the Heracles without meaning to. Wish I could have healed first and bought more items or something...

-...DAMMIT I KNEW THIS WOULD HAPPEN. WHAT WAS EVEN THE POINT OF THAT.

-XD @ everyone punching Raven

-Okay, there are items here. Excellent.

-Fighting Tachikomas.

-I really dislike this place. The Tachikomas have WAY TOO MUCH DAMN HP. Seriously, if I'm in a fight with 3 soldiers, a mage, and a Tachikoma, it takes me longer to kill the Tachikoma than to kill everything else combined.

-FINALLY found a save point. Stopping here for a while...

-After some searching, I find Egothor Forest. Niiiice music. This might honestly be my favorite tune in the game so far.

Not even the best dungeon music to that point! Quoi Woods still holds that title.

-----

-That's it? No Giganto Monster? No boss? >_> Though I think I couldn't explore part of it... So maybe I'll have to return later.

I suspect that's because you're bad at exploring, the Giganto Monster in Egothor is easy to find.

-----

-Back in Yormgen, except it's destroyed now. Hm.

<3 Yormgen.

-----

-DEIN NOMOS GET. (holy hell this sword is powerful)

Favorite sword in the game, based solely on appearance. It'd have been more awesome if it retained the glowing red aura thing it had when Duke had it. Still awesome. Plus has purely ridiculous skills on it: Special (Enables Mystic Artes), Super Chain [#whatever] starting to open up the crazy combos for Yuri, and Bastion (Guardian Field? More like Awesome Field.)

-----

-Fun fact for you guys: Did you know that it's really, really hard to walk off the edge of a cliff? So this whole "navigate a maze without falling" thing is stupid. Not difficult. Just stupid.

Fun fact. You get a unique item if you fall like 3 times or something.

-----

-Couldn't get the secret mission here. Upon looking up what it is... yeah. Let's get this next time.

It's not that hard at all. Although, I say this knowing it's actually probably easier on Hard Mode (the playthrough where I went for all the Secret Missions), because Blast Heart seems to be used more, and with each use, I think you get more time where Schwann can be downed.

-----

-FINALLY found a save point. Stopping here for a while...

Oh Heracles... first playthrough I was on there literally 2+ hours longer than I needed to because I couldn't see a simple ladder right in front of me. Good times... good times.

Every time Schwann used Blast Heart, he killed Yuri and usually Judith and Karol as well. <_<; So you can see how that would impede my efforts to get the secret mission.

-----

Oh Heracles... first playthrough I was on there literally 2+ hours longer than I needed to because I couldn't see a simple ladder right in front of me. Good times... good times.

Understandable. I had a similar problem on the ghost ship, though obviously not for nearly as long since it's a much smaller area. >_>

I actually meant "DETAILS" as in... like, I wasn't actually asking for details, I was saying that details like "Kenri sucks at exploring" are unimportant. <_<;

[Spoiler for ToV, click to show]-Okay, so I took out all but one of the barriers by either blasting them or dropping boxes on them.

-Can't figure out how to get the last one, though. I think I need to turn on the box mover, so I need to find a switch? But I don't see one anywhere. >_>

-Okee, figured it out. I guess that was revealed to me when I destroyed the fourth barrier, so it was sorta obvious, but eh.

-........................

-Man, Villain Decay has hit this guy like a ton of bricks. In the first two fights, he was a serious threat. Then in the third fight, he was at least a moderate threat. Now it's like... "man, I have to beat you down AGAIN? Okay, let's get this over with. Overlimit. Azure Edge. Can I go now?"

-Got the secret mission.

-XD @ Yuri blasting him out the window. See, this is how we should deal with ALL our enemies.

-...ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

-Yeager... I like you. I think I'll kill you last.

Updated list of things to kill (most wanting to kill first):

The Hunting Blades
THAT DAMN BIRD
Zagi
Alexei
Raven's ponytail
Flynn
Flynn's lackeys
Yeager's lackeys
Karol's bag
Yeager

(Duke has been forgiven since he gave me an awesome sword.)

[Spoiler for ToV, click to show]-MOONSTONE CANNON... FIRE!!

-You know, Flynn is usually annoying as hell, but then sometimes he'll go do something awesome and I'll ALMOST want to forgive him.

-Back in Capua Nor.

-Nice little mini-dungeon here. >_>

-"We're up on this rock, right? We'll be fine." [monster starts flying] "Or not."

-Ha. Man, you know you suck when Karol is kicking your ass.

SUMMARY OF FIGHT:

*checks Artes*
"Oooh, I like this one."
*Karol goes SSJ3*
*spams Reaper Knock until the fight ends*

-"Sorry we're late, traffic was awful."

-Got the secret mission just in the process of beating on the boss. <_<

-On my own, now. Back in Quoi Woods. THAT DAMN BIRD is... gone?

-XD @ "YOU BRAINDEAD PIECE OF CRAP!"

-Oh, THAT DAMN BIRD is still there. My mistake.

-In Zaphias Castle now.

-Lower quarter got rescued by Team Rocket. Figured something like that would happen, if only to prevent Yuri from moping for the rest of the game.

-Found the Audience Room, and it basically confirms what I've known ALL ALONG, SINCE THE BEGINNING OF THE GAME, which is that I'll need to find those little shrines and shoot them with my sorceror's ring. Of course, I can only find #2 and #4, so... stopping there because this place annoys me.

[Spoiler for ToV, click to show]I never understand all the complaining about Zaphias Castle, it was always a very simple layout to me. [Spoiler for ToV, click to show]It has a very confusing layout considering you don't have a map, and the enemies seem to respawn as soon as you leave the room. <_< It's annoying for those reasons alone. Though by this point I guess I should be using Holy Bottles constantly. And possibly mapping the place myself.

Random question I'm not sure I want to know the answer to but I'll ask anyway: About how far along in the game am I? Like, it FEELS like I'm 90-95% done, but then I look and see that I only have about 50% of the skits, and I've only seen a handful of Giganto Monsters, and that makes me think I'm not anywhere near the end. >_>

[Spoiler for ToV, click to show]-After a lot of searching, FINALLY realized the audience room has two more exits that lead to the first and third thingies. With that, everything just sort of fell into place.

-wtf @ the camera screw on the Sword Stair

-BOSS FIGHT

TWILIT PUPPET
Estellise

-Wait! I have an idea! *uses Mother's Momento*

...

That... did not work as well as I would have hoped.

Ah well. I tried. Time for BEATDOWN.

-Seriously. STOP LETTING VILLAINS MONOLOGUE AND THEN ESCAPE. ATTACK THEM WHILE THEY TALK. Goddammit.

-Okay, Yuri vs. Estelle 1v1 now. *tries the Mother's Momento again* SUCCESS. I knew it would play a role here!

-....Annnnd I get killed. Huh. Okay, let's watch the horribly long unskippable cutscenes and try that again. This time I'm going to abuse the HELL out of those Limit Bottles I have like 15 of. It's really just not even worth fighting bosses without being in Overlimit.

-OKAY, this time I played much more conservatively and won. And obviously got the secret mission.

-Well then. Estelle's doomed.

...Oh wait, the EPIC MUSIC is playing. Nobody can stop Brave Vesperia when the epic music plays. <_<

-It's a shame Flynn has such a dumb name. "Commandant Flynn"? Nobody will take that seriously. Nobody SHOULD take that seriously.

-So apparently fighting will cause Estelle to die, but she wants to fight anyway, and we're going to let her because it's her choice. If I thought gameplay would actually impact this, I'd stop using her, but I figure it's like the Vampire Killer in Portrait of Ruin. "This whip will drain your lifeforce and eventually kill you." "Does that influence the gameplay at all?" "Well, no." "Okay then. *equips VK, uses it for the rest of the game*"

-I tried to fight the Lord of the Plains a couple times and he WRECKED me. <_<; Wow.

-Back to Egothor Forest to fight the Giganto Monster there. Hey, uh, xp? I'm pretty sure this path was blocked with a "What are you doing? We need to stop the blastia!" last time I was here. Not my fault I missed it! <_<

-Okay, the Giganto Monster here slaughters me too. Huh.

-...Why is Yuri's Mystic Arte so useless? It does like 4000 damage. Hardly even worth it when 2 Azure Edges will deal the same amount.

-...Oh my god.

"They're... bouncing..." "What are you talking about?" "I wish I could bounce..."

..............Best win quote ever.

-I just synthesized a Jitte for Raven. OMG BAN JITTE

-Stopped right around there.

Yes, it was. Because it wasn't blocked off. I know because on both playthroughs I've fought him before the "boss" fight there. Got destroyed on first playthrough too. The Egothor Forest one is arguably the hardest one in the game. It technically has the highest level when you use a Magic Lens.

[Spoiler for ToV, click to show]I'll check it out next time I play. >_> I didn't bother to check this topic before continuing my journey to do random ****.

-Got the Fatal Striker title for Yuri.

-Got a skit saying I filled up half the monster book. Whoo. More importantly, that more or less proves to me that I'm closer to 50-60% done than the 95%ish I was also considering. <_<

-Did a 30-Man Melee at the Coliseum. It was... pitifully easy. >_>; Nobody could even break my shield thingy. XD @ the bosses being Adecor and Boccos, though.

-Beat 50-Man, too. Meh. This is boring and the prizes suck. <_< I'm gonna go do something else. Boss was some guy named Jun, but as he wasn't Watarase Jun, I didn't really care.

(BTW don't Google that name.)

-It's pretty cool that Baction Shrine has a whole network of underground passages that you have to return to explore. When I was first here, I figured I'd be returning eventually with a way to break down the walls, but I just expected like 3 or 4 rooms, not a whole other wing.

-"Amulet"? What a lame item. Is that what I did all this for? I bet it just gives +10% defense or something stu-HOLY CRAP PREVENTS ALL STATUS EFFECTS?!

-"Nothing calls to a man's heart like the thrill of making a map!"

...Karol is slowly becoming my favorite character. <_<;

-Wandered around for a while, unable to find the Baction Shrine exit. I am an idiot.

-More synthesizing and skill learning. Got a short scene in Dahngrest that showed Karol training to become stronger.

-Stopped there.

-Found a blue save point. Using it to clear out some enemies and get some much needed experience. And skills. And artes. <_<

-Pyre Havoc takes too ****ing long to learn. I learned Azure Storm in like 3 uses. >_>

-Okay, mastered Pyre Havoc, Azure Blast, and Shining Fang Drop.

-Mastered Guardian Field. Pretty nice for Yuri to have healing move, even if it doesn't heal much.

-Plot time. Yeager's pretty much my favorite villain in the game so far.

-...His rifle turns into a scythe? What the ****. That's not fair! Either of those weapons alone is like ten times cooler than swords/axes/lances/knives/bows/whatever the hell Rita uses.

-SUMMARY OF FIGHT (BLEACH EDITION):

Yeager: It's time to end this, ja? Send him to hell, Riflescythemaru.
Yuri: I don't have time for this. OVERLIMIT. *beatdown*
Yeager: Such a pity... I didn't think I'd have to use this. Bankai.
Yuri: I've improved since we last met, Yeager. OVERLIMIT...
Yeager: How many times must you use that in vain before you admit def-
Yuri: LEVEL 4.
Yeager: [Bleach shocked expression: zoom in of narrowed eyes widening just slightly]

-Did not get the secret mission. Would really like to. I THINK I know what to do... sorta... but I'm looking it up just to be sure.

"Make Yeager's heart explode by using Raven's Rain arte." This is the infamous Secret Mission 17, hardest of them all.

...Oh.

Oh, that's so sad.

Well then. I'll try to get that next time.

-Resting at Dahngrest... Wow, I would NEVER have figured that out on my own. <_<;

Yeah, that is a jerk way to get a Mystic Arte.
On that topic, might be worth visiting Heliord.

And not really related, but rest at the Capua Torim Inn when you get the chance.

-Phaeroh's Crag.

-Yormgen. Was there any point to that sidequest, besides it being cool?

Does it need any other reason?

Did you find the Sage there? If so, yes, huge reason. I can either tell you now, or tell you later when I think it's closer to being relevant.

-----

-Why do enemies in this game have so much damn HP? Seriously. Make them tougher, that's fine, I just want the fights to end in a reasonable amount of time.

I didn't think it was that bad. Well, on Hard Mode I would occasionally, but then, everything has 2.5x HP. And maybe other stat increases, but even if so, 2.5x HP is the dominant thing.

-----

-Pyre Havoc takes too ****ing long to learn. I learned Azure Storm in like 3 uses. >_>

I'm calling BS.

All Altered Artes:
-Spell Altered Artes require at least 50 uses to learn
-Not Spell Altered Artes require at least 100 uses to learn

-----

-Mastered Guardian Field. Pretty nice for Yuri to have healing move, even if it doesn't heal much.

%-based heal.

It's 10% Max HP. Well, it's 2.5% Max HP applied 4 times, but Yuri will always get all 4 unless you get hit by a spell or attack or something. But it's 2.5% Max HP of whoever is in it, Rita will get 2.5% of her HP per tick if she's in the circle too.

My main thing with Guardian Field was that it fit into my combo of doom once the Tension Series and enough of the Super Chain Series was operational.

-----

-Plot time. Yeager's pretty much my favorite villain in the game so far.

That's because Yeager is awesome as hell.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

oh god SM17. oh the horror.

This SM almost single-handedly made me switch off Hard Mode for the fight. Not because Yeager was actually difficult, but because he became near impossible to set-up for this. It took literally a few hours for me to get. And the lack of cutscene skips. augh.

It doesn't need any other reason, I was just curious in case I missed, like, Yuri's chance to learn Frickin' Awesome Kickass Azure Wolf Destruction Storm Field by not staying at the sage's house 12 times or something.

So yes, I found the sage. And you can tell me later. Or now, whatever, unless it's spoilers I don't really care when. <_<

It's not THAT bad, but the stupid Tachikoma things (and a few other enemies) just really piss me off. It's like you NEED Fatal Strikes to end battles in a timely manner, and that doesn't work so well when I'm so used to only using about 3 Artes per battle. <_<;

Seriously? I mean, 3 was an exaggeration, but uh... I only recall using Azure Storm for like 5 battles, while all of the other Altered Artes took like a million uses through 20ish battles or something stupid like that.

Probably just remembering wrong.

Ah, that makes sense then.

Like I said, it's pretty nice to have (and is currently one of my 4 artes), especially since it hurts AND heals, it's just... not a replacement for Estelle/Raven. Not that I was expecting it to be or anything, Yuri isn't exactly Ninten or Ness.

Small adjustment. Enter Ehmead Hill and visit the broken blastia. I forget if it matters what side you enter from. Then go to Aspio's library/inn place. THEN rest at Torim. If you don't get a scene at either of those places before, well, then obviously it isn't working so you can ignore the rest of it.

Well, yeah, Estelle and Raven are much better healers. That said, 4 Artes? lolz, you can set 8. You can have 4 set to the right thumbstick too. And the 4 set there can also be commands to your teammates, so like, you can order Raven to cast Love Shot or something without going to the menu. You can also just put more of Yuri's artes on them too.

Well, I wasn't counting the right analogue stick, those are dominated by commands for teammates, I don't think Yuri has a single arte set for that right now.

[Spoiler for ToV, click to show]-I can't get the secret mission. >_> This annoys me so screw it, I'm gonna go mess around for a while.

-Got Repede's special in Heliord. That family has the worst luck ever.

-Killed Brutal, THE LORD OF THE PLAINS. Yuri's Mystic Arte is somewhat more impressive when my equipped weapon is actually good. Also, I had to put Raven on the field. Two healers (plus Karol and Yuri's occasional healing spells) made it so much easier.

-I can't get into Ehmead Hill right now. Oops?

-Back in Halure... XD

Sicily: "I've been trying to count the petals that fall from the tree. Bit difficult to do alone."
Whole group: "..."
Yuri: "Well, about time we hit the ole dusty trail..."

-Plan: Return to Mt. Temza
Reason: See if any new passages can be opened up with the lvl3 ring
Unforeseen obstacle: There is a giant chicken in the way
On the bright side: Party is no longer hungry

-Tried to fight the Giganto Monster in Egothor Forest and lost. Again. It occurs to me that battles with Giganto Monsters, and really bosses in general, seem to all go down according to a set formula:

1. Can you use Overlimit?
-Yes
--Do it
-No
--You lose

2. Is the enemy's shield down?
-Yes
--Spam Azure Edge
-No
--You lose

3. Did your enemy manage to get an attack in at any time during Overlimit?
-Yes
--Too bad. Go back to 1, unless you're dead, in which case restart the game and go back to 1.
-No
--Congrats! That's 1/10th of the enemy's HP down. Go back to 1.

-Whoo delaying the inevitable. I'm actually trying to master some recipes instead of fighting Yeager. So you can tell I dislike this secret mission a lot. >_> Also, learning new skills. ALSO, I just fought my 1000th encounter. I expected more fanfare. An achievement or at least a skit. No such luck.

You're going for Yeager's Secret Mission? ...Well, if you're that crazy, okay, I'll tell you what I did. Yuri. Level 1 Overlimit. Spam Destruction Field on Yeager when his guard is up. Have the rest of your team set to not interfere.

Now Raven, you're going to want him to have Rainsong. Two ways of accomplishing this. Either get him to learn it. Rain + Crucible, and just spam Rain until he learns it. Or, switch Raven's bow mid-battle to a bow with Crucible on it so he uses Rainsong.

Now, after a few Destruction Fields in a row, Yeager's guard will drop. However, that's only half the battle. Once this happens, have Raven use Rainsong. That should hopefully take out Yeager's "shield" thing that all bosses have. NOW use Rain (If you used the "switch bows in battle to use Rainsong" method, you'll have to switch back to a bow that doesn't have Crucible so that you use Rain instead of Rainsong here).

And you probably know this, but this only works in Phase 2 of the Yeager fight after he reveals his heart is a blastia.

As for Ehmead Hill. Whoops. Yeah, forgot about that. Yeah, you'll have to do that later then.

...I didn't see that post before trying this myself. Whoops. Sorry. >_>;

[Spoiler for ToV, click to show]-Okay, trying to get the secret mission now.

-...OH COME ON, that's not fair! I hit him with Rain while his guard was broken, but it didn't work! Please don't tell me I have to take down that stupid little barrier shield thing too...

-So I have a new strategy, but Yeager is preventing it from working by choosing not be stunned after I hit him with Destruction Field. Have I mentioned how much this annoys me? Because if there was some sense to it, I wouldn't mind, but comes off as "okay, you're in overlimit? screw that, stun doesn't apply anymore, making overlimit completely worthless. lol gg."

-YESSSSSSSSSSSS VICTORY

Turns out my "new strategy" was pretty unnecessary, but parts of it came in handy. Also, there was no explosion. I was promised an explosion.

-Failing to cook Minestrone Soup after getting a secret mission is the most satisfying failure to cook Minestrone Soup of all.

-Hey Yeager, remember when I said I'd kill you last?

"Ja! Ja, you deed zay zat!"

I LIED.

-Movin' on up.

-Holy CRAP what is that

...

I'm gonna go kill it.

-POSEIDON OH CRAP

Wait, this reminds me of something...

[one minute, two seconds pass]

xp: Poseidon, God of the Sea attacked xp, dealing 775 points of damage.
xp was killed!

Oh dear,
that went worse than expected.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF-

-I think that, even more so than Yeager 2, even more so than Barbos, and even more so than Gattuso, Goliath is my least favorite boss fight in the game so far. And Poseidon is like Goliath to the power of... Goliath. I think I can kill it, though...

-For comparison purposes, against Yeager, I could deal about 2500-3000 damage with a single Azure Edge, assuming I hit with both parts of the attack. Against Poseidon... 300 damage per Edge. What the ****. I hate this fight. Stopping for now to think up a new strategy. >_>

Pfft... on Hard Mode, it would take me like 10-14 Destruction Fields in a row to guard break Yeager. The problem became "oh crap overlimit runs about before I get like 12+, and even 10 isn't happening if Yeager doesn't cooperate and guard immediately so I can start spamming from the very beginning of OL."

lol Poseidon being a problem. Can't wait to see how you like Zaude boss if Poseidon is giving you trouble.

That said, the only reason Poseidon can even be considered annoying is that it likes to not stagger and instead have Yuri's sword bounce off him. My solution was that if you already have it staggering from Rita's spells this isn't a problem.

-----

I'm not sure what you have in terms of the Super Chain Series, but how close could you get to a combo of...

Cerberus Strike -> Shining Dragon Swarm -> Cerberus Strike -> Guardian Field -> Shining Dragon Swarm

?

Because that wrecks ****. Well, kind of. It really wrecks **** once you have the Tension series, when you can turn it into two variants:

Normal Hits -> Cerberus Strike -> Shining Dragon Swarm -> Cerberus Strike -> Guardian Field -> Shining Dragon Swarm -> Burst Arte

or

Normal Hits -> Cerberus Strike -> Shining Dragon Swarm -> Cerberus Strike -> Guardian Field -> Shining Dragon Swarm -> (Keep using Cerberus Strike -> Shining Dragon Swarm here until you hit OVL 3) -> Mystic Arte

Combo Plus and Combo Plus 2 may be required to make the variants work with the tension skills, at least for the Mystic Arte variant. (Though I imagine you could sub Shining Fang for Cerberus Strike to make up for the lost hits)

Hit Plus make the Mystic Arte more hilarious.

I'm not sure I'd say it was giving me "trouble", since all its attacks only did like 80 damage. It sorta reminded me of 4-E-3's boss in FE10, in that it couldn't actually HURT me, and I could kill it, it was just taking me way too damn long with my current strategy. (And yes, the bouncing was a large part of that.) I'm pretty sure I fought Poseidon for like 5 minutes and only did 40k damage or something, and normally I can do that in, like, a single Overlimit. So that's when I said "screw it".

Rita is completely crazy, though. Absolutely nuts. I'm pretty sure I didn't take any damage in that battle and ended it in like a minute while using Rita.

-----

I'm not sure if I can pull off that combo or not. I want to say I don't have Combo Plus or Combo Plus 2 yet. I have Super Chain, SC4, and SC5, and the three Tensions, but I'm not sure about the Combo Pluses...

I'll give it a look next time I play.
