When I went to the castle with the three Heaven items, I was let in. I got a TinyMedal from a vase and took a warp inside to the monster king's castle. The only monsters to fight in there were four miniboss duos of EvilArmors, which were new monsters. WhiteAir trashed them; since Titan and Rave both know it, they can whip any groups of monsters while Sean guards them, so it's a good set up. Found WorldDew in a chest, a Bolt Staff in a later chest, and a SteelFang in the last chest on the way down, which is an accessory that raises a monster's attack by 50. I actually missed a chest, but backtracked to get it, and found a Thief Ring, which promotes agility growth.
Back at the bottom, I found a huge monster guarding the path to the monster king. This gatekeeper, Madou, was a simple enough boss. He used fire and ice all-hitting moves, but Titan is immune to most fire spells, so that wasn't a huge deal. I had to use two WorldDews to keep Rave alive, but otherwise, no problem. He let me through after the fight.
So who is the monster king? Kameha of course. He got picked up by the MadCondor, took the Light Orb, and ordered all of the monsters to search for treasures that could act as a plug since the Light Orb did not work when he tried it. Wow, that's actually fairly clever, about time he did something worthwhile. But I had brought the last three treasures and none of them would work, which meant this world wasn't going to help us.
But the plot decides to move along by introducing us to Darck, a treasure collector from Limbo. He told me to bring all the treasures I had collected to him in his world and he would give me a plug in exchange. He gave me the Limbo Key and vanished. Well then.
I returned to GreatLog to see that it was very close to being completely sunk. The king thanked me for getting Kameha home safely and told me to take items from his treasure hord. I got a LifeAcorn and Quest Book from the two chests. Kameha said he couldn't leave because his father was keeping an eye on him now, but told me he'd keep getting stronger. Sure fine bye.
With the Sky Key having a star finally, I went to the Limbo Key's world. Really small world with only four monsters I could find, though three were new. The MistyWing was not, but I had not seen a BossTroll, 1EyeClown, or ChopClown until now. No items are on the ground for taking either, it seems. Instead of going on right away, I decided to do a lot of monster recruiting and breeding. I even bought two Sirloin for 1350 gold each, which was the first time I had purchased meat.
When I finally moved on, I found that thief from the oasis and ice worlds. He took my three treasures, the TidalBell, HansMirror, and SkyShield, gave them to Darck's messenger, and then challenged me for the last time. He used a DeadNoble, Armorpion, and Grakos, all of which were new monsters to me. They were all vulnerable to Vacuum and Infermost though, so I spammed those with Titan and Rave respectively while using Guardian with Sean. When they all died, the thief whined about not being able to win with his strong monsters before vanishing. How... anticlimatic.
Before going back, I found some new things in other worlds. An NPC that can be found in the magic key worlds (not storyline ones) are guys who will heal you for 1000 gold, which is a real ripoff but could be a lifesaver in a tight spot. I fought another master, who had a TreeSlime, Unicorn, and Dracky. First time I fought a master with monsters I already knew about. I found Repellent on the ground for the first time and learned poison is very annoying in this game.

After saying I had a good heart or something compared to other collectors, Darck vanished, I got the MagicPlug, I went to GreatLog and used it. But apparently it was too late, GreatLog had lost too much of its life force to stay floating. ...Or not, since everyone from the plotline worlds helped it to float again by giving me shiny glitters of light. Yay! I think.
The king thanked me, everyone called me a hero, Cobi was like 'hey sis you look kinda cool' and Tara was like '<_>'. Tara wants to go on more adventures and Warubou tells me to go on them for my own reasons this time. Roll credits, with an end scene of Kameha and Tara fighting over another pie, only to have Kameha hit the plug again...
Time for postgame stuff. I found that Darck eggs are now for sale from the TinyMedal guy (how the heck I do not know), so I traded the ten I had collected for that egg. An NPC wants to give me an egg but my farm is full, so I need to still get that. All the NPCs like me and the shop guy who called me a liar apologized and lets me shop from him now. Finally, a game where my accomplishments are recognized.

I also restarted my copy of Pokemon Sapphire. I won't do detailed updates on that since I already beat it and am only running through again to complete it. Interesting note though. My battery died in the middle of saving, but it only said the file was corrupted and needed to reload from the last save I had. I thought my cartridge might be fried, or at least my file, but apparently not. Talk about dodging a bullet.

My battery died in the middle of saving, but it only said the file was corrupted and needed to reload from the last save I had. I thought my cartridge might be fried, or at least my file, but apparently not. Talk about dodging a bullet.
If that happened during RBY or GSC, your save file would be dead IIRC.
Didn't recall them going to the "load last save" system as early as RS (thought it was in Emerald or FRLG), but apparently I was remembering wrong. >_>

My terms of completion for Sapphire is 'get everything I can without another game'. Completion in general for games is doing everything possible without spending money. For instance, to get all the Pokemon in Sapphire, I'd have to spend money for another Gameboy Advance, a link, a copy of Ruby or Emerald, and that's just not going to happen. So I'll do everything possible otherwise, even catch a stinking Feebas when it comes time.
Write-ups... I guess I can do some, but not overly detailed ones because I'm not taking notes as I go. This is really only being played when I have no alternatives. I so want to get back to Mass Effect when I return home. >_>

My current team is Torchic, Shroomish, Ralts, Taillow, Poochyena, and Zigzagoon.
Story so far: I am brought to my new home in Hoenn by the back of the moving truck (yeah, with the boxes, my mom must hate me). After setting my clock, I go to find Professor Birch, who is a loser. He has a kid named Brendan who will be one of my rivals. After talking to Brendan, I find Birch running around outside with a Poochyena chasing him. Wow he is sad. I pick Torchic and beat it up.
After being sent along to find Brendan, I fight his Mudkip (which he likes) with my Torchic and win easily. I go back to the lab and am given the Pokedex and five Poke Balls.
I proceed to catch everything available and level up my Wurmple so I can evolve it for Pokedex stuff and then swap it into the PC for something decent. I get to the 'first' gym, which my dad runs-wait what? Your character has a FATHER for once? Anyhow, he wants me to help a kid named Wally catch a Pokemon, and he catches himself a Ralts. A male Ralts. We all know how this will end. My dad then tells me to come back to fight him after taking on easier gyms. (He's not kidding, if I fought him now I'd die terribly.)
While going through Petalburg Woods, I find a guy who works for a corporation named Devon. He asks if I've seen any Shroomish. A guy with a bandanna runs out and says he was waiting to ambush the Devon worker, who hides behind me screaming like a wuss. Torchic burninates the Team Aqua's Poochyena, causing him to go OH NOES and run off. I am given a Great Ball for that 'heroic' deed and sent along.
When I get to the first gym, I trash it due to it being a Rock type gym. Roxanne uses a Geodude and Nosepass. My underleveled Shroomish destroys them with Absorb, Stun Spore, and Leech Seed. 'lol' I get the Stone Badge like that actually means something.
After stepping out of the gym, a Team Aqua grunt runs by with the Devon guy from before running after him screaming, "Wait! Don't take my GOODS!" You may make of this as you will. He asks me to get back the GOODS and I go to do so since the game wouldn't go on otherwise.
So the Team Aqua member's grand plan of getting away? Steal an old man's Wingull as a hostage and run into a tunnel that is caved in, making it impossible to retreat. This is the least stupid of plans they have. The Team Aqua member threatens to hurt the Wingull. I counter his threat by... walking forward, causing him to instead fight me. What. Torchic burns another Poochyena, Aqua member flees, old man gets back his Wingull, they leave.
To continue, I need to ask the old man to take me by boat to another location. But I first had to give back the GOODS to the Devon worker, who gave me another Great Ball. GOODS, two Great Balls, am I the only one disturbed here? He asked me to bring them to Slateport, and the president of the company, Mr. Stone, asked me to deliver a letter on the way. But he gave me a PokeNav so at least that's something.

When I talked to Kameha, he challenged me to a monster battle, which was surprising. I fought his MimeSlime, Tonguella, and Golem. After winning without much trouble, he gave me the Lonely Key, which was a plot coupon for postgame stuff. I talked to him again and found he has a better team next time: a MetalKing, KingLeo, and GoldGolem. Yeeeeeah, no. I'll bother with that fight later.
I also wound up fighting Butch's master, the little girl I gave the SpotSlime to earlier. How's that for strange? She actually beat me the first time due to some status shenanigans, but the second time, I totally trashed her MimeSlime, SpotSlime, and SlimeBorg. She had the same monsters when I checked again, so if she improves, it must not be for a while yet.
Since the Limbo Key had a nice star next to it, I checked out the Lonely Key world and found a new monster, a SkulRider. I had not seen a wild WalrusMan until now, but I had bred one before. This was a small world with only six screens; it only had the door shrine and a house. The house was inhabited by Professor Kiral, who wanted me to go into his monster-infested basement to get a treasure for him. Said basement had wild Reapers and ProtoMechs, so that was new. I decided to deal with it in a bit.
It was around this point that Sean the IronTurt maxed out his level at 51 and got a star next to his name. I put him in hibernation and put Gamma, my new MetalDrak, into my party. She had to forget SandStorm and TakeMagic due to having so many techniques.
Finally deciding to get to some arena fights, I tore apart the C Class and got a Magic Key. It was appraised as FirstGrave. That world had no minibosses, only a boss that was two WindBeasts and a Reaper. There were two new monsters, an Inverzon (seen in the ghost ship but vanished after that) and a RotRaven (totally new).
With FirstGrave done and posessing a star, I went to clear B Class. C Class had a star next to it, and in less than three minutes, B Class got one too. The Magic Key I won was appraised as SilvrHole, and it had two new monsters, a Starfish and a Gamanian. The miniboss was a Belzebub and the boss was two Belzebubs and an AgDevil. SilvrHole got a star next to it as well.
Back in the Lonely Key world, I began to treck through the basement. The last room in it had a bunch of barrels and a robot. I examined all the barrels; two of them had Shadow monsters while one had a WorldDew. Then I examined the barrel next to the robot, causing it to attack me. This boss, Roboster, was simple to beat. But it fought me again. And again. And again. And again. Each time it got weaker, until after the fifth beating, it couldn't even talk anymore. I used an ExitBell to return to the professor and ask him about it. He gave me the okay to destroy the robot and put it out of its misery, and I did so with a sixth beating. I brought the professor his WizStone by using another ExitBell, and he used it to bring a new Roboster to life. He gave me a Smart Book for my troubles.
With the Lonely Key now having a star, I had one other idea of what to do. The magic key man had said that if I showed him a monster he had never seen before, he would give me the magic key on his desk. I brought him my Darck and he was impressed enough to give me the Baffle Key, another plot world. He promised he would give me another key if I cleared out the two I had. Hmmm.

The third floor's boss fight was easier thanks to luck. The monsters were a Gulpple, a FairyDrak, and a DuckKite. They tried to sleep and confuse my monsters, but kept missing, making it an easy fight. The chests behind them had another cryptic Mimic, an Herb, an AwakeSand, and a Cleric Ring.
So next up is the fourth floor. This team is fun to use since they're all sub-dragons with powerful breath weapons. (Titan is a dragon, Rave is a zombie, and Gamma is a material.)
I also got a new TinyMedal from the professor's vase in his house. Yay.

Well, I can get quite a few without any other games. If I had a way to link up LeafGreen and FireRed I'd be in better shape, but I don't. I refuse to spend money on completing games. Time, yes, money, no.
So I woke up at 4 AM to go to a Black Friday sale with a family member, and Gamestop opened at 5. I found Yggdra Union there for $20, which is far better than the $40 I saw at every other place that had it new, so I got that at least. I also picked up the covers for my PSP finally. Toys R' Us had a set of two of them for $4.50 on sale, whee.
[Spoiler for Dragon Warrior Monster 2, click to show]The fourth floor had a team of monsters that focused on all kinds of status effects. It consisted of a FunkyBird, a DanceVegi, and a Slurperon. This was the most annoying fight of the lot, but I got through with all my monsters alive. The four chests contained a Mimic, an ExitBell, a BraveCape, and a MoonHerb.
The fifth floor was simple. They tried to steal skills or something but they died so quickly I'm not sure how that was supposed to work. The MadPlant, Orc, and PutrePup got wiped out, allowing me to pick up four more chests that had a Mimic, MermScale, LoveWater, and Thief Ring.
The top of the tower was all that remained, and it was hilariously easy. The team consisted of a Devipine, an Anemon, and an HerbMan, all of which apparently had terrifying skills. I say apparently because the only one I saw was a move that stopped my monsters from dancing. Yes, really. I'm not sure why they used that. The last four chests had an Herb, GoldCape, Mage Ring, and an Antidote.
With a star next to the Baffle Key, I went back to the key collector. That was when I realized that it wasn't the Lonely and Baffle Keys I needed to complete. See, there are two Dragon Warrior Monster 2 games, Cobi and Tara. I need Cobi's game to get a different key, transfer it to Tara's, and then complete that world to get the final key. Since I have no way to get Cobi's game, that's impossible by this point. Oh well, I'm not missing much anyway. It's just another tower of easy fights followed by... another tower of fights, wow!
I have been searching for the merchant that the king asked me to without much luck. However, while in the Pirate Key world, I came across a boss fight with a KingSquid, which is, as implied, a giant squid. It had a nasty tidal wave attack that did about 100 to all of my monsters, but HealUs from Gamma took care of that. When it finally went down, it asked to join me. I nicknamed the female KingSquid (see what I mean about kings/men being girls always?) Sam and put her in hibernation.

[Spoiler for Pokemon Sapphire, click to show]With the old man bringing me to Dewford, I was able to find the cave with the delivery location. Too bad it is dark and needs Flash to navigate. A hiker gave me HM05 but I need the next badge before I can use it.
The gym was certainly an improvement over the first one. It was a Fighting type gym, and I had to fight Brawly, who had a level 17 Machop and a level 18 Makuhita. They were pretty brutal, but I managed to win after Taillow, Torchic, and Shroomish fell. I had Ralts in reserve, but since Makuhita had barely any HP and was being sapped by Leech Seed, I brought in Poochyena to win and get the experience. Yes it was hilarious. >_> I got the Knuckle Badge for winning.
After teaching my Sableye Flash, I navigated the cave and found Steven. He took my letter and gave me the TM for Steel Wing in exchange. He told me I could become the league champion and left. How nice.

A bunch of Team Aqua members were lined up in front of the museum for the ocean, so I ignored that due to their blocking ways and instead looked for Stern, who I need to give the GOODS to. One of the workers named Dock (these names...) said he was not there, and what do you know, I can get into the museum after that. One of the Aqua goons said I had beaten him up before and gave me a TM so I wouldn't hurt him again. I admit, that's kind of funny.
When I went to the second floor, I found Stern, but two Aqua grunts followed me up. I won without much difficulty (the first guy got a crit on me to kill my poor Shroomish) and caught the attention of Archie, the leader of Team Aqua. He told me their goal was to expand the sea since all life depends on it. But wait a moment. In this museum, I was told that the ocean covers 70% of the world already. Are these idiots seriously arguing that 70% of the world is not enough? Have fun explaining to all the land dwelling people and Pokemon why their homes are going to be sunken. Seeing that I was not impressed with his reasoning, Archie left. I regret that he will appear again.
After finally giving Stern the GOODS, I wandered on. I took on the first trick house challenge, which involves the trick master guy planting a bunch of trees. This very, very difficult challenge can only be beaten if you have a Pokemon with Cut. I was lucky to manage to get through in about three minutes! *Cough*
As I wandered down the route, I found Brendan, who wanted to challenge me. Easy battle became stupid when his Marshtomp came out and criticalled two of my Pokemon in a row. The rest could not survive a Water Gun, so I had to resort to Combusken, whose Double Kick finally got rid of him. What a load of garbage. For winning, Brendan gave me the Itemfinder.
Arriving at the next town, I found a guy who gave me HM06 (Rock Smash) and the bicycle shop. The guy there gave me a free bicycle because my shoes were dirty. I wish bike shops worked like that in real life. I took the mach bike for now (you can switch for an acro one when you want). Then I strolled down a west route to reach another town, but I can't do anything special there until I can use Rock Smash. So I am heading back to the other town to take down that gym leader.

[Spoiler for Pokemon Sapphire, click to show]Before I could go into the gym, I had to battle Wally to show him that a level 18 Ralts would not be enough to beat gym leaders. He vowed to get stronger later with his Ralts and left with his uncle. That's nice I guess.
After clearing out the gym, I decided to train a bit since I recalled the leader being kind of annoying at a lower level. I encountered some news people ahead to be interviewed by after I beat them in a battle, and I battled a family of four to win a Macho Brace. Apparently their grandson was going to go into the Pokemon League and is a lot stronger. Hm.
While searching for a Plusle and Illumise (such a load of garbage), I put my Geodude into my party and evolved her into a Graveler, just in case I needed a back up plan for beating the Electric type gym leader. Once I finally got those two, I dropped Graveler back into the box and went to fight the leader.
Wattson was only annoying because I couldn't recall what Pokemon he had. He started with a Magnemite which did a number on my team. Voltorb went down easily, but Magneton actually knocked out Combusken when I tried to switch it in with Shock Wave. I could have easily won by using a Revive on Combusken, letting Shroomish faint, and then sending it out as a free switch for a Double Kick KO, but I didn't want to waste a Revive. So I reset and decimated him the next time around to get the Dynamo Badge.
With the ability to use Rock Smash, I used the HM06 on my Sableye and broke a rock back in the Whismur cave. The guy who was trying to dig through the tunnel gave me HM04, Strength. I went back to take the other path from the third gym town after that. Using Rock Smash to proceed, I found two routes to take, one by a volcano path and one from a cable car. Since two Team Aqua goons that nobody liked was guarding the car (even their team apparently didn't like them, they were wondering why they couldn't take the car already), I took the fire path. Once outside, I found a nice old lady who allowed me to stay at her house for resting. There was a desert nearby, but I couldn't go into it due to the vicious sandstorm. Must be Tyranitars hanging around!
The next section consisted of a route where ash was falling from the sky. Walking through the grass turned it from gray to green. Near the end, I got a Soot Sack to collect the ash in and exchange for items. I'll worry about that later though. I got to the next small town and met a woman, Lanette, who said she was the one who made the storage system I used. I miss Bill. Will be continuing soon.

I went to fight in the A-Class for the arena and won without a problem. I got a star next to it and a Magic Key, which I appraised to find out it was QuietHill. When I went to QuietHill, I found three new monsters to get later, a Belzebub (seen but not in the wild), a LizardFly (totally new), and a WingSnake (same). There were no mini-bosses, just a boss ArmyCrab and two Gasgons. I won easily enough and got a star next to that key.
While I was searching for monsters and experience, I fought some more monster masters. One actually gave me a new Magic Key for beating him, which was appraised and discovered to be RedJail. Another master, a unique one that looked like a bard, said he would give special medicine to my monsters if I won. When I did win, the medicine increased Titan's MP by 20, Rave's agility by 20, and Gamma's MP by 20. Very, very nice.
RedJail isn't much to talk about, especially since there were no new monsters. There were two mini-boss sections, both being Mummies, and the boss was just a SpotKing. No two helpers, odd. RedJail got a star next to it.

Finally getting around to the S Rank, I beat it without issue and did not receive a prize; instead, the person behind the counter told me I could now pick any class of those four that I wanted with harder competition to get nice prizes. I tried C Rank, found it still easy (though with more advanced monsters than before, and it cost more to get in), and my prize from the right chest was... an Herb. Fudge monkeys.

I tried A Class but got beaten because Gamma refuses to use HealUsAll when I'm not in control, which screws me over. I'll need a better team before doing this one.
While training and breeding, Rave got to level 63, his maximum. With a star next to his name, I felt fine with putting him in hibernation in the stable. I got out Gigas, my GigaDraco, as a replacement.

Also, monsters have become a lot harder to recruit. Monsters I recruited before with Ribs now demand Sirloins from me, which is weird and annoying.
I also finally found the fugitive merchant the king had asked me to in YlwMtn. He used a Demonite, BossTroll, and JewelBag. I won easily and went to the king to collect my reward of 10,000 gold. Quite nice. He asked me to go after a priest fugitive after that, one who apparently only attacks weakened monsters. I need to keep that detail in mind.

Gamma hit level 57 and maxed out, getting a star next to her name. I put her in hibernation and used Talon in my party until I fused the components to Rondo, who I trained and then fused into Rondo himself. He's not even level 20 and already has almost as much attack as Titan, which is insane. His HP is low though, so a glass cannon of sorts perhaps? Due to his mass amount of moves, I had to ditch MPass, RobDance, and PaniDance.
