Also, boss medals pose an interesting problem. If I can't one-shot them with carried over glyphs, there's a good chance I won't bother.
Started Albus mode. This is pretty much how the game should have played from the beginning. At least the boss fights. They can 3HKO me, I can kill them in about 5 seconds with a clear shot. The cheapness balances itself out. I really need a lag to not lag horribly after I attack, though.
At Barlowe currently, who is a serious problem since he doesn't stay on the ground...

This is a boss you're supposed to RIDE ON.
Why the HELL would they give it touch damage? What POSSIBLE reason could they have for doing this? Besides to prove that, yes, you CAN fuck up an extremely good idea if your boss designer is dumb enough.

[Spoiler for OoE, click to show]1. Dracula is not allowed to walk around. The issue is closed.
2. Even if the sprite and game engine allows it, normal enemies are not allowed to dual-wield double-bladed throwing machetes while also wielding a large metal hammer at the same time.
3. Any non-boss enemy that deals over 300 touch damage is vetoed.
4. Touch damage and bosses you climb on are mutually exclusive.
5. Infinitely respawning flying enemies are a privilege, not a right.
6. When people say Sonic games are "hold-right-to-win simulators", they do not mean it as a compliment.
7. When it comes to bosses: can 3HK the player, takes 10 damage from every attack, has 3000+ HP - pick one or less.
8. If at any point there is a room with multiple enemies that can deal over 100 damage per hit, the whole room is vetoed.
9. Any plot twist that contains the phrase "and it was actually a scheme to resurrect Dracula" is neither original nor allowed.
10. A good drop rate for the quest item at the end of the super hard bonus dungeon is 100%. Not 25%.

I just got him, and decided to try him out in battle, and he does NOTHING. I modified his strategy from the default one, but he does NOTHING. Doesn't attack, doesn't cast artes... He doesn't even god damn MOVE.

Apparently, at level 60 with all glyphs, every single enemy in the game gets steamrolled over by Shanoa. That includes Dracula, who I killed during his first attack. You don't understand, this means I killed him before he could use his second form. Yeah. He didn't stand a CHANCE.
So, now it's time to get the other 2307392 items I'm missing.
Training Hall is cake for me now. I did the first 4 rooms or so without even getting hit, and Ruby Pins make the fire traps minor inconveniences at best. The bad news is that there's only one rare chest at the end, so I only get one of the following items each time I go through it.
Alexandrite - Needed to complete a quest. Useful.
Super Tonic - Needed to fill in my item log. Useful.
Robe Decollete - Needed to fill in my armor log. Useful.
Super Potion - Available at the store. Not useful.
Guess which one I got. >_>
I suppose this balances out getting an Alexandrite my first time through in my last game...

Kenri-Is-An-Idiot to English translation: I got destroyed by Dracula. Multiple times.
Apparently, there's some kind of glitch that occurs when you level up as the werebat. I'm not sure how it works exactly, but it leads to your stats being much, much higher than they should be. This only affects you while you're transformed, and fixes itself if you reset the game.
Or die, as the case may vary.
So, my first fight against Dracula went much, much better than any following fights.
I didn't know about this glitch beforehand, by the way. Or else I might have tried to, you know, win, BEFORE I got nerfed horribly and my damage output dropped by like 20%.
