[Spoiler for the end of Okami, click to show]Ammy: TIME TO BOARD THE ARK
Issun: YES
Ammy: RIGHT AFTER WE DESTROY THESE DEMON GATES
Ammy: AND CATCH THESE FISH
Ammy: AND LEARN SOME NEW MOVES
Ammy: AND FIND THE LAST SUN FRAGMENT
Issun: can we-
Ammy: AND EAT THIS FOOD OM NOM NOM NOM
Issun: can we go now
Ammy: okay
Issun: But seriously I'm not going to come with you.
Ammy: Great. See ya.
Issun: ...I'm serious! I'm really going to leave!
Ammy: There's the door.
Issun: But-
Ammy: No, you shut up. You've done nothing but annoy the hell out of everyone ever since we met. Whether it was seeing some incredibly obvious puzzle and spending 5 minutes saying the equivalent of "hey look over there wink wink nudge nudge", or repeating yourself over and over to make conversations forty times longer than they needed to be, or what the hell ever. Later. It's been fun. Adios.
Waka: Sup guys, despite all appearances I'm actually NOT evil!
Ammy: See, that's so much better. Me and my new best friend are going to take off.
Waka: Yes, let's depart together!
Waka: Right after I leave you behind!
Ammy: "Oh".
Old bosses: Hey, it's that dog!
Ammy: Oh, wonderful, you guys again. Fine, whatever, it's not like any of you can actually stop me.
*beatdown*
Spider Queen: My only regret... is that I'm... the weakest boss in the game!
Ammy: This would have almost been threatening if I had to fight all the bosses in a row followed by a fight against three Nagis. Of course, the only threatening part of that is the "followed by a fight against three Nagis" part, so I guess I'm wrong, there was no way those bosses could have been threatening.
Waka: Hurry up and help me!
Ammy: But you're doing such a good job all by yourself! awesome_face.jpg
Yami: *zaps Ammy's powers*
Ammy: Oh. Oh, that's so sad.
Yami: *zaps Waka off ark*
Ammy: FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF-
Ammy: THIS BALL IS MAKING MY TESTY
*beatdown*
Ammy: owned yami owned
Yami: *zaps Ammy's powers again*
Ammy: FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF- STOP DOING THAT
*Mr. Orange prayed, but the prayer was absorbed by the darkness!*
*Susano prayed, but the prayer was absorbed by the darkness!*
*Oki prayed, but the prayer was absorbed by the darkness!*
*Ishaku prayed, but the prayer was absorbed by the darkness!*
*Issun prayed... Ammy healed 99999 HP!*
Ammy: Hear me, Yami! I am the morning sun, come to vanquish this horrible night!
*beatdown*
Waka: Well done, Ammy! You beat that guy who had no development or relevance to the story whatsoever. NOW EVERYTHING IS BACK TO NORMAL.
Ammy: excuse me how the **** did you survive
Waka: Oh, I had a UFO.
Ammy: ...THAT JUST RAISES FURTHER QUESTIONS!

And then the game ends.

So, that's the end of that. The game is beaten, it is completed, and now I can move on to something else. Overall, awesome game, but fuck fishing, fuck Yami for being by far a worse villain than Ganondorf, and fuck those stupid, stupid Demon Gate trials/spider pits/whatever. Maybe I'll post more in-depth thoughts about the game tomorrow or in a few days, I dunno. No promises.

[Spoiler for Okami, click to show]Issun made up a lot of ground in the last third of the game. Before that, I thought he was awful, but then he became decent at least.

Waka and Ammy are amazing though. =)

So did you like fighting Orochi three times overall? Of course you did! And yeah, Yami is... lol. But everyone believing in Ammy as a god and her getting awesome powers to wreck Yami was an A+ moment.

$2 games at gamecrazy

why

I told myself I wasn't going to buy any more games but then I went and bought more games!

But when you see Panzer Dragoon Orta for $2, you can't just not buy it. It's impossible. I also got Crimson Skies for the Xobox, which I've played a tiny bit of before and it's pretty awesome. Wanted to get Baten Kaitos Origins but then the following conversation happened:

Them: All the games in this case are $2!
Me: All of them?
Them: No, not all of them.

Anyway. I should really do my thoughts on Okami thing before I completely forget everything about the game.

[Spoiler for Okami, click to show]Standard disclaimer: I'm going to bitch about all kinds of stuff, but I really did like the game.

Okay, first of all, my main beef with the game, and that's the story.

To put it bluntly, if we can divide the game into thirds (the Orochi arc, the Ninetails arc, and the Yami arc), the game's story completely fell apart after the Orochi arc ended. The first third of game made sense. Everything was foreshadowed, played up, repeated again and again, and built up towards that final confrontation between Ammy and Orochi; Susano becomes a hero that can live up to his family name, Ammy repeats the past by destroying Orochi, that's it, game over, the end. And then the game keeps going. And it just makes no sense from that point onward. Who the **** was Ninetails? It was just some random demon that was important because we were told it was important. It had no ties to Ammy, really, and after Orochi it was just... what? Who cares about this clown? And it didn't help that half this part of the game was spent basically railroading you from place to place, sometimes even with an actual time limit.

The game then tries to repair itself once you get to Kamui/Wep'keer/etc. And it starts out pretty awesome, with Oki and all that. But then you're sucked into the past for some reason and... have to fight Orochi again. In the past this time.

Because that makes sense.

I'll just say it: this whole time travel thing? Came out of nowhere, made no sense, and actually hurt previous parts of the game just by association. So Ammy WAS strong enough to battle Orochi 100 years ago, even though that goes against everything we've ever been told in the entire game? Okay. Fine. That's strike one. It's a problem, but you've still got time to recover. Then Shiranui shows up in the present from the past to help you against the clockwork owls.

What.

Just... I don't even know. That's strikes 2, 3, and beyond. Just... just cut that whole thing out. Okay? I don't care about Shiranui and Orochi. We've done that. It's done. We have moved on. It was like an hour and a half of gameplay in a 40+ hour game. Just get rid of all of it. I'm serious. The game is too good to have a segment that bad.

That, or make a saving throw and try to fix it so it actually makes sense. It would be hard, but doable.

Okay. After that, we get to... Yami. Who is basically a figurehead. "Here is this guy who is pure evil and makes evil and is the source of all evil. Kill him and we can wrap the game up neatly."

...

*sigh*

I'm really getting depressed just thinking about this.

See, a character like Ganondorf works as a villain barely because he gets some development. He does stuff. He kidnaps the princess. He has ambitions. He has characterization. He's cliche and boring most of the time, but at least he is a legitimate villain.

Yami, though. He's not even a character. He's just a plot device that you have to fight. The game wouldn't have changed at all if Yami was replaced by a random non-sentient MacGuffin that exerted an aura of evilness and was the source of all evil in the world. I just... ugh. What an awful villain.

Okay I spent way too long on that so I'm going to just sum up the rest of my criticisms:

1. Issun in general.
2. There were only like three good dungeons in the whole game.
3. ...I got nothin'. Wow, I really thought I had a third point here. Maybe it'll come to me.

TWEWY status report:

[Spoiler for TWEWY, click to show]I'm at roughly 97% items and 85% pins. The only items left, I believe, are those quest items that require certain rare pins. Which I've been putting off getting because it would set my pin mastery progress back quite a bit. Especially because one of them requires Anguis, the pin with 20 experience levels. Why the hell would they make you master that twice. Dick move, Squeenix.

On a side note. I love the names of Dragon Couture's pins. I just say their names over and over. Foes Afar, Foes Aflame. Live Slow, Die Fast. Follow Suit, Fall in Turn. One Stone, Many Birds. Self Found, Others Lost. And my personal favorite: Final Pyre, All Expired. I'm weird, I know. <_<

[Spoiler for TWEWY, click to show]About 99% items. I only know of one that I'm missing... so that could be fun, figuring out what else I need.

88% pin mastery. I finally got some of the quest items that required pins, so it set me back a bit, but I still made progress by mastering the entire Eden set.

I also finally beat boss rush on hard, after maxing Beat's defense and packing dual Lightning Rooks. Which added another star to my... whatever you want to call it. Game Report? Which I'm probably never going to finish because I only have 2,500 ESPer points right now, and you need 10,000 for a star. <_<

It's incredibly stupid because if you get one point over 10,000, you apparently get your rank dropped anyway. I didn't count it for 100% completion because it's moronic for that reason and because you won't even get half of the amount of battles needed by doing every other thing in the game.

[Spoiler for TWEWY, click to show]Well, your rank gets dropped, but you do keep the star. The rank name changing back is just a glitch, presumably because the requirements for God rank were lowered to 10,000 when it was originally like... 65,000+ in the Japanese version. Yeah. Not sure which is the lesser of two evils there.

If I end up doing that, I'd probably count it as a mastery for Backloggerial purposes. <_<

And yeah, I agree with your mastery thing. There's no sense in calling that completion considering how silly it is.

This only came up recently because having just beaten Mass Effect 2 it is imperative that you play and beat both.

Otherwise I am so beyond used to this stuff that I can no longer notice or be disappointed about it. >_>

[Spoiler for TWEWY, click to show]Okay, so I had done about as much grinding as could do in Another Day, so I decided to move on to collecting the remaining pins I needed from the other days. AD is just annoying because it's so much longer than all the other days. I really don't want to have to go through it again, so I wanted to get everything done there that I possibly could.

But then I forgot to fight what's his face again and get another Bahamut. ****. Hopefully I don't need more than one of those.

I went to W2D5 and W2D6 to do the Tin Pin battles at Stride. I think I need to do W2D6 again, but it'll have to do for now. I also fought Berserk Kariya and Uzuki for all their remaining drops. Then I skipped back to W1D4 to grind against Reaper Beat some more for Dark Matter. -_- And at that point I took a break.

...I am going to be so mad if I get 100% items and have to backtrack for pins again.

[Spoiler for TWEWY, click to show]...I almost feel bad about this.

I didn't feel bad about using Alucard Shield + Shield Rod against Galamoth in SotN.

I didn't feel bad about having Estelle make herself permanently invincible for her Colosseum match in Tales of Vesperia.

I didn't feel bad about abusing Vengeance Slips in the last fight of the last Demon Gate Trial in Okami.

I didn't feel bad about abusing Hypermode against Mogenar in Metroid Prime 3.

I do kinda feel bad about equipping the Eden set and then just stalling on the top screen with Joshua until I could toss a Jesus Meteor at the bonus boss.

But the alternative is actually trying to fight it normally, which is just not something I plan on ever being physically capable of doing.

how else are you supposed to beat him

it'd take years

I do kinda feel bad about equipping the Eden set and then just stalling on the top screen with Joshua until I could toss a Jesus Meteor at the bonus boss.

ok i agree you should feel bad.

Try using Shiki, she's the best partner for the bonus boss. If you're worried about Neku, you could use those pins that let him rush back and forth across the screen.

[Spoiler for Mass Effect, click to show]-Heading to Ferros for some... Ferrosing.

-Guy: Thank god you're here Shepard. Talk to Some Jerk, he's our leader.
Shepard: Okay.
Guy: NOW THAT MY MESSAGE HAS BEEN DELIVERED, I WILL SPONTANEOUSLY COMBUST

-go back to bed, geth

-"PROTECT THE HEART OF THE COLONY! PROTECT THE HEART OF THE COLONY! PROTECT THE HEART OF THE COLONY!"

-Okay, everyone is safe forever, just as soon as I... find water, and food, and power, and kill some geth, and kill a red Sheegoth.

-Luckily, all of those things can be accomplished within 100 feet from each other.

-This area is annoying as **** because every room like every other room so I keep getting lost even though it's pretty much just a straight line.

-Okay! To the ExoGeni HQ! Like all other corporations in fiction, I'm sure they will be evil!

-OH GOD IT'S THE HIGHWAY FROM SONIC 2006

I SURE HOPE I DON'T GET CHASED BY A TORNADO

-Some people hiding out! And a guy who is TOTALLY NOT SUSPICIOUS. And some woman wants me to find her daughter! And some guy wants to me to find his data!

-Found the girl.

-It took me like 10 seconds to realize that "Thorian" isn't just the name of some random alien race that I've seen a million of.

-why are there krogans here? just to be annoying? well **** you *lift*

-The Thorian can mind control people. So that's why everyone was acting nutty! (Hands up if you're surprised ExoGeni was evil. ............... Yeah, that's what I thought.)

-And there's the data.

-"We can't destroy these anchors for the geth ship."
"Oh."
"Hey wait, this door is malfunctioning, and will shut closed with extreme prejudice. And one of the claws comes through there. How convenient."

-owned geth owned

-Got the girl, back to the people.

-What. I have maxed out Charm but I can't Charm this stupid guy! It's not MY fault the last two ranks haven't even been unlocked for me to put points into yet!

Oh fine I'll just shoot him.

-I got some gas grenades to neutralize the colonists without killing them, then I stopped there.

While you can pull this off with just those, it requires a lot of AoE because there's more colonists than grenades. Until a few weeks ago on my Mass Effect 2 Preparation Run I thought this was infuriating design and that you'd have to reload if you couldn't make a bunch of pretty clutch decisions/luck, I probably had like an 80% success rate anyway, but it was annoying.

Then I happened to read the mission description update or something for no reason and learned that you can also use melee for the same effect and it will also count as knocking out instead of killing.

So in case that comes up for you.

[Spoiler for TWEWY, click to show]99% pin mastery

Anguis, Tin Pin Dash(?), and Meteor Spike are the only three left, I believe. Tin Pin Dash is only like 4 levels, which is simple enough. Meteor Spike... requires me evolving Meteor Hook, which needs 102 MPP. Annoying. If it was just 100, I'd be done by now. And as for Anguis, I've been going through the boss rush on level 1 Normal. 3500 PP a shot. Not bad.

I also have all the abilities for all the items now. I was missing a few, but found them easily enough.

[Spoiler for Mass Effect, click to show]-Okay, gave the guy his data back before I forgot, so that was good.

-Got lost for a while because I'm easily confused despite this area being a straight line.

-Exploding zombies. Haven't seen those before in this game!

-Ran out of grenades early and had to melee it up.

-Some colonist died accidentally, I don't know how. Restart.

-Some colonist got melee'd into a wall with such force that she was stuck in it and the game wouldn't let me continue until I shot her. But then it didn't register as a death so WHATEVS.

-Found the Thorian. I was really expecting it to just be like some tiny, beautiful flower that no one would expect to be EEEEEEEVIL, but then it was a giant monster instead. =/

-Okay, so I just need to shoot the solar panels until they lock into place and make it catch on fire.

-Or fight off waves of fodder while destroying its legs. That works too.

-The asari clones are annoying. Luckily, I can physics them. *Lift* ahahaha **** you asari

-I ran out of medi-gel about halfway through and was getting worried, but then I found 3 more so it wasn't a problem.

-owned thorian owned

-That's two asari I've saved now. Apparently she was working for Benezia until Benezia got out-Xanatos'd by Saren and she was sacrificed to the Thorian. And she says I need to have the mind of a Prothean to understand my visions. But luckily the Thorian absorbed the Protheans, and she was merged with the Thorian, and now she can the memories to me! How convenient.

-She and I do a mind meld which shows me visions of Metroid Prime 1's title screen.

-She stays behind to help the colonists. It's a good thing she was completely trustworthy and everyone knew immediately that she was completely trustworthy despite having no reason to think that!

-Liara does a mind meld to help interpret the visions, but then says that they're incomplete and tell us nothing.

...

sigh

-The Council wants to talk to and/or yell at me, so let's see what they have to say.

Councilors: It's a shame you had to destroy the Thorian, Shepard. We could have studied it.
Shepard: Yeah you're right, I should have just whipped out a handy-dandy Pokeball and caught it and then sent it your way so you could get mind-controlled by it, thus accomplishing nothing. Are you retarded or just ugly?
Turian Councilor: You'd do anything to save a human colony, wouldn't you Shepard?
Shepard: You have got to be fucking kidding me. Do you have any idea how many goddamn quests I've done so far that didn't involve humans? Rescuing that entire goddamn colony took less effort than rescuing Liara, and you're going to bitch and whine about how I'm... what, speciesist? Go fuck yourself.

[Spoiler for Mass Effect, click to show]-It's amusing/horrible that I've been playing Mass Effect for 22 hours and I still have no ****ing clue where anything is in the Normandy and have to just wander around until I find whatever I'm looking for.

-I also restock on medi-gel.

-To Vostok, in Maroon Sea. I THINK this is where I'm supposed to be going for the other quest I got on Feros.

-I also found the last of the Asari Matriarch's writings, so that's one more quest down.

-Okay, found the science facility. I rescue the people inside, but then they're like, "dammit you know our evil, evil secrets". One of them offers me a bribe if I let them go since the whole experiment is over now, and my choices are: 1) No, I have to arrest you; 2) Okay, I'll take the bribe; and 3) Somebody has to pay.

...

There is, of course, no way to say... I dunno, "if you testify against ExoGeni I'll use my connections to see if I can pull you a reduced sentence" or anything reasonable like that, so I just take the dumb Paragon option and then they attack me and I kill them. =/

-I hate any planet with mountains. It's like they said, you know what would make our obnoxious vehicle segments even better? Mountains!

-Talked to my crew. Except Kaidan. **** Kaidan.

-More exceedingly awkward dialogue from Liara.

-Looks like I got the wrong member of Ashley's family on my team. =/

-holy ****, Wrex is mother****ing Lupin III in space toad mercenary form

-Tali has like two lines of new dialogue. Not cool.

-Okay, to Noveria.

-Some guards say we're not supposed to be here and tell us to surrender our weapons.

Shepard must have the patience of a saint to not just murder everyone in this entire game. It's not like anyone could actually STOP her. Otherwise they'd be doing all this **** themselves.

-Eventually, some woman is like "oh hey guys she's totally a Spectre, better let her in".

-She also tells me that Benezia was here (Shepard is a loser) but that I need to talk to some guy to get... I dunno, clearance to go find her or something.

...

SPECTRE
IMMUNITY
CAN DO WHATEVER THE **** I WANT

WHY WON'T ANYONE LISTEN TO ME

-My teammates basically said, "Benezia is here? You should go talk to Liara about this." So I head allll the way back to my ship, and wait for it to load, and try to remember where Liara's room is, and go and talk to her, and she has nothing new to say and Shepard won't bring it up.

...

And that frustrates me enough to stop playing for now.

WHY WON'T ANYONE LISTEN TO ME

Pretty sure that technically Noveria doesn't have to pay attention to any Council rules, Spectre thing included. It's just, they probably realized that blowing off Spectres as a general policy would likely be a bad idea even if they'd technically be in the clear about it so made it a a "Well, okay, we don't really have to help you, or even tolerate your presence whatsoever, but I guess we'll try."

They're certainly not pleased with it, so they chose being bureaucratic jerks that are just slightly more helpful than just as a default telling you "No"

I don't know which teammate said this to you, but all the times I can remember, they make it very clear that they mean "You should bring Liara along as a party member." Obviously it's just a suggestion and all, but I probably recommend doing as they ask.

[Spoiler for Mass Effect, click to show]It was something like:

Teammate 1: "We should tell Liara about this."
Teammate 2: "Or bring her with us, to throw Benezia off-guard."

I'm fielding Ashley and Tali, but I forget who said what. Since you've never heard it, it was probably Ashley, which is just one more thing to add to the list of reasons Ashley sucks, mirite. >_>

On that note, who should I drop for Liara, assuming that I care far more about combat ability/other uses than whether a given team member is a jerk? <_<

You took Vanguard, right?

Then definitely drop Ashley and keep Tali.

Aside from possibly the biggest character gap (we're talking best v probably worst)...

As a practical matter, Vanguard + Liara would mean no one with any Tech Abilities. Which means no one capable of unlocking containers and all that kind of stuff. So you'd be missing on all those items, and maybe more important to you - the EXP from opening everything.

And as far as Tech characters go - Tali, Garrus, Kaidan can all do it. Kaidan is Kaidan (which is a step up from Ashley character-wise still), whereas Tali and Garrus are Top 2 character-wise anyway!

[Spoiler for Mass Effect, click to show]Yeah, I was planning to drop Ashley, but wanted to double check.

Though I have somewhere in the neighborhood of 500 omnigel so it's not like I'd have to abandon any items. <_<

[Spoiler for Mass Effect, click to show]-I talk to Anoleiswhateversman about a pass to find that person I'm after but he says "lol no". Only in more words.

-His secretary is like "go talk to some guy whose name Kenri cannot rememb- wait Lorik something I think? anyway he might have a pass"

-Some hanar wants me to smuggle something for him but I'm like "what I'm a paragon here I don't get to have any fun"

-Some asari wants me to spy on someone for her but I'm like "what I'm a paragon here I don't get to have any fun"

-Some Lorik wants to trade me a pass if I recover some information for him but I'm like "what I'm a paragon here I don't get to-oh wait I need to advance the plot don't I"

-I convince like two guards to leave, which, as we all know, absolves me of all responsibility when I slaughter the other half dozen!

-data get

-Some chick stops me and is like "you broke the laws that I was breaking and then shot at my guys in response to them shooting at your guys!" and I'm like "yup" and then a fight breaks out. And she's like, "I don't need a gun to kill you!" and uses Throw to knock me to the ground, but then I get up and use Lift to physics her off the balcony. owned owned owned

-"Wall safe (easy decryption)" something about that is just hilarious

-oh hey Anoleis' secretary is an undercover badass and wants me to convince Lorik to testify against Anoleis in court. She's also the best character in the game.

[Shepard asks why she doesn't just take data from his computer herself]
Gianna [dumbfounded]: "He's a crook, not a moron! You think he just leaves logs on his computer that say, 'this month I stole three million credits'?"

-I have full Charm now. Let's rock.

Lorik: No, I'm not doing it.
Shepard: [charmingly] You'd be a hero.
Lorik: Okay, I'll do it.

owned

-Back to Gianna (I think that's her name) and she places Anoleis under arrest. "You have the right to remain silent. I wish to God you'd exercise it."

-So, I have a pass now, so I head to the garage... and I'm immediatelty attacked by Geth. sigh

-Geth = owned

-Matsuo Whatever is like "what the hell did you do, Shepard" but then I'm like "yarr, there be geth in these waters" so she runs off to be useless somewhere else

-Also, she actually said "Benezia-sama". Bad Bioware. *smacks with newspaper* No.

-I'm in the mother****in' Mako now! *charges through all the enemy geth without stopping*

-That was awesome. A Geth Armature was too close for any of the Mako's weapons to hit it, so I rammed it up the side of a mountain and then backed up and shot it with a missile.

-These turrets are pathetic. This is the worst defense system I've ever seen.

-In the main base now.

-Oh no, the Metroids are escaping from their containment fields! Who could have forseen this?!

-There's some dumb puzzle here but I don't even understand how it works so I just toss 100 omni-gel at it and it solves itself.

-"It looks like you're trying to restore this facility. Would you like help?" (actual dialogue)

OH GOD IT'S CLIPPY, BACK FOR REVENGE

-So basically we're in Phendrana and we need to find the Wave Beam to get the Space Pirate base back online.

-I go and get the fuel lines reconnected and uh... reconfigure the... energy-mo-tron. Or whatever.

Christ this game has a lot of jargon. Why am I even attempting to play this on 3 hours of sleep.

-Yeah so Benezia took the tram to SkyTown East and now the tram is back online I think, so I'm stopping there.

-I also hit the stupid 150 item limit again asdfghjkl

-Oh and sometime during all of that I got the achievement First Aid Specialist for I guess using First Aid a lot.

...

"TAKE THIS! FIRST AID."

[Spoiler for Mass Effect, click to show]-I forget if I mentioned this last time, but I got some quest but then I had already finished it because of nonlinearity.

-Okay, so now. What am I doing again? Oh right, I used my Plasma Beam to fix the power circuits and now I should take the tram to SkyTown East.

-I try to take the tram but there are "contaminants" in the way. Tali, I choose you!

-Tali uses her maxed Electronics to fix the purge system, which lights all the enemies on fire.

-...Okay MOST of the enemies. ****, I hate those little exploding vermin so much.

-Took the tram to SkyTown East.

-Man alive, there are... men alive down here! I wasn't expecting that.

-The leader here is named Ventralis or something but I'm just going to call him Colonel Makepeace.

-Jesus, this place is huge. Well, the hot labs are where the plot is, so that's the LAST place I'm going!

-I find a sealed area which adds a quest to my journal.

-I talk to a doctor who gives me a pass to get in.

-He also gives me a quest for the other area, but I need Colonel Makepeace's permission to get in. So back to talk to him!

-Permission granted!

-Okay, I went to one of the areas and made a cure for the doctor guy.

-Some jerk asari that I assumed was just a jerk but was actually evil attacked me! So I physics'd her to death. :\

-A volus told me she brought geth from some place nearby, so I went to check it out and ran into Matriarch Benezia. What. That's not fair! Since when do sidequests lead me to the main plot?

-She kills me, and I restart... at the asari battle. Wonderful. Okay, I guess this time I'll deliver the cure and then check out the hot labs?

-Okay, so it was a lie. Benezia isn't in the hot labs (which is obvious since she's in the Top Secret Area, but whatever, we aren't supposed to know that yet).

-Shepard: Is there an asari here?
VI: There is an asari I cannot identify standing next to you.
Kenri: *facepalm*

-We can activate the NEUTRON PURGE here to kill the Rachni, but first I'd like to take out Benezia, so BACK WE GO!!

-Or not, apparently I can't leave until I get some purges up ins.

-Okay, done.

-....And now Colonel Makepeace has betrayed me. Who could have predicted that?

-Seriously, though, what POSSIBLE reason is there to side with Benezia instead of Shepard? Are you dense? Are you retarded? IT'S BENEZIA'S FAULT THAT YOU'RE IN THIS MESS, THE MESS THAT I AM CLEANING UP PRESENTLY. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU WHY WOULD YOU POSSIBLY oh i seem to have had a stroke

-this annoys me so much that I restart from the asari fight and decide to go kill Benezia first and see if that does anything

-sup Benezia
