| Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | I hope you're ready for the attack of the Kenri. >_>; I agree though. I don't see anything good for the Wii right now, and I don't like Zelda all that much. I don't see anything good for the Wii right now, and I don't like Zelda all that much. Which is another reason why I don't want one right now. The only non-Game Boy version of Zelda I've played is Majora's Mask, and that was slightly too complicated for my tastes. I prefer the simple "A to slash, B to do some other crap" interface of the portables. I've played a bit of most of them I think. | Level: 51 Juggernaut, bitch. | I hope you're ready for the attack of the Kenri. >_>; *brandishes BAN button* Hey, I call getting to pull the trigger on that one. Anyway, I'm going to hold off on the Wii for a lil bit. I've been having fun with my 360 even though I only actually have 3 games for it (Oblivion the great time eater, Dead Rising, and Chromehounds). Whenever the new SSB comes out, either before or after is probably when I will give in and get one. I also am highly intruiged by the virtual console and want to see what all I can round up with it. Yeah, I know I can just use an emulator, but I'd prefer getting it on the console; just something about it. Right now, the games that if they are on console or going to be that I would get right off the bat are Double Dragon 1 & 2 (can't beat the classics) Mike Tyson's Punch Out (Fuck Mr. Sandman or whoever they used to replace Mike) and Streets of Rage 2. Perhaps throw in some Earthbound and Vector Man, and my ass is set for a long time. ~~ Burgess [Z?] http://blog.myspace.com/burgess51 I smell like smoke because I have walked through fire. |

| Level: 43 Editor | I honestly don't understand why everyone's going bananas over the Wii when Zelda TP is essentially the only game remotely worth playing. Trauma Center is all but confirmed to be GotY imo. And Red Steel, Wii Sports, Elebits, and Excite Truck all look mildly amusing. I hope you're ready for the attack of the Kenri. >_>; ...Why? Launches always suck. Sucked for the PS3, the PS2, the PS1, the GCN, the N64, the DS, the PSP, etc etc etc. The only good launch I can remember off the top of my head is the GBA. --- "If I don't live diligently, I can't die. Maybe it was a premature assumption, but it could have happened. >_> Anyway, I'm going to hold off on the Wii for a lil bit. It depends on a lot of factors coming in later, and how well it works together. If it's done right, I can probably get over some of the minor annoyances. +++ http://i15.tinypic.com/4c1rtwh.jpg If only the Catholics would really see the light.. *sigh* |

| Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | Hey, I call getting to pull the trigger on that one. Granted, when the time comes. Actually, the only reason I wanted to buy a Gamecube (I was eventually given one for Easter or somesuch by my brother, who at that time I saw only a few times a year, and who is quite wealthy) was for SSBM, on account of the fact that at that time I still invited people over and that was a game my friends and myself all enjoyed. SSBB would be the reason I would buy a Wii, however I have no one to play it with and I don't think single-player is its best feature. So I don't think I'll be getting the Wii for a long time, if ever. Trauma Center is all but confirmed to be GotY imo. I'd rather study anatomy than pretend to be a surgeon. >_> And Red Steel, Wii Sports, Elebits, and Excite Truck all look mildly amusing. I'm going to give that a solid meh. ...Why? Launches always suck. Sucked for the PS3, the PS2, the PS1, the GCN, the N64, the DS, the PSP, etc etc etc. The only good launch I can remember off the top of my head is the GBA. Exactly. In a vacuum, the Wii appears to meet or even set the bar, depending on how annoying that remote thing is. I just don't think it's really worth the investment right now, unless you're a rabid fan of a handful of games. ___ ~ Ogordemir ~ Buddha promised me Nirvana and all I got was this lousy T-shirt. | Level: 51 Juggernaut, bitch. | Gander Mountain is right next to a Best Buy, so I got to see the tards (not Wiitards or anything, I just think they were fucking idiots for waiting outside the store when it was like aroun 34 degrees with some wicked ass wind [weather or not, still idiots]) waiting in line for one the other night. Funniest reaction I have ever gotten from people was when I walked up, asked what they were doing, and simply said "8.8" Oh holy shit thank God they were all either fat and out of shape or so skinny I could have broken them in half by farting. I'll have to write up something more about that and my conversations with some of them that came in the store to buy camping stuff. Good times. Before the launch, there was a display Wii that they had set up when I went in on Wednesday to pick up some supplies (couple of cds and some more blank cds). There were some people playing...something on it (I didn't get close enough to see what it was). How can I best describe it...well...have you ever seen a retard try to swat a fly and fail miserably at it, but he just keeps trying? ~~ Burgess [Z?] http://blog.myspace.com/burgess51 I smell like smoke because I have walked through fire.
