| FMA should have been an every-plot, following this format:
Edward is given a mission by Mustang.
Edward and Alphonse show up and find some greedy/annoying/bastardly character, military or otherwise.
Edward tricks this person into making an idiot of himself and/or kicks his ass via alchemy.
The people swoon, Edward gets +5 Charisma points and does a pose.
Mustang smiles smugly because he knew how everything was going to happen.
This would be the format for all but, say, 15 episodes - 5 for the Flashback Arc and 10 for the plotty goodness ala Cowboy Bebop.
Instant top 10. <_<

| FMA is Fullmetal Alchemist, an anime that I enjoy belittling at every opportunity, mainly because it started out sooo good and then got awful and made me sad. :(
