Today I received my Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin game. I preordered this a while ago from GameStop. Cool bonuses, etc.

However, the inside of the case is broken. While the game and manual are both fine, the case is basically ruined. This, obviously, won't affect my enjoyment of the game at all. But, as a collector, this is very annoying, as I might as well have bought the game used. So, do I return it or not?

I probably wouldn't bother, but then, I'm not really a collector, even though I horde the boxes and manuals.

Just keep it unless they'll give you another version of the game with cool bonuses.

Well, the bonuses were in another box entirely. >_> So I think I should be able to just swap it for another copy.

They gave you the 2-cart Case, right? Then, who cares about the other one? <_<

Then do so. Why the dilemma?

The dilemma is that the store is about half an hour away. And I'm not great with handling returns (I should write an article about this sometime). However, I realized recently (after making this topic) that I'm going Christmas shopping tomorrow anyway, so I can just do it then.

I'm a collector. Like I said, I might as well have bought it used without the case and saved some money. Plus, wtf, what kind of business sells a broken item? Even if it is just a case.
