There's a PE class.
On the Internet.
Unfortunately, I didn't take this excellent, excellent class. "Why?" you wonder? I saw the class on the course list, and naturally inquired about whether or not it would actually count toward my graduation requirement.
I was told it wouldn't.
Then today I find out that, woops, my counselor made a booboo, and that actually the online PE class was perfectly legitimate. Moreover, the online classes are both cheaper than summer school in terms of original investment and in total costs - they give you some of your money back if you pass the class. For a person who has to take about $200 worth of classes, that's no small boon.
My only recourse now is to find out if it's possible for me to switch, even though I'm pretty sure it's not and I'm stuck doing this forced labor bullshit for another two weeks.
Good thing I'm not a crazed murderer, because boy would I have the motive.

Of course this is one's first reaction, but for those of us who don't like PE - that is, anyone who doesn't enjoy being forced to do stupid games with stupid people we don't like now or ever, not to mention being forced to run around like idiots to the possible detriment of our own health, and nevermind the fact that if you don't perform satisfactorily on the tests for which you aren't given any preparation you can end up screwing your GPA for no rational reason - the next reaction is "AWESOME!"

if you don't perform satisfactorily on the tests for which you aren't given any preparation you can end up screwing your GPA for no rational reason
I hope you're talking about written tests. Because, for example, the pushup tests, you got a 100% on as long as you participated, even if you only could do 2 pushups. >_>

I'm the type of person who, in Idaho at least, hates the outdoors during the day in all seasons except winter, is not annoyed by worksheets, and is not a big fan of games. Actually, there are a few games I do like - street hockey or capture the flag, for instance - but I only like those because I'm very capable of quick bursts of energy, and I don't like much else because I'm absolutely incapable of sustained activity. That's why I always play defense. (My lack of enthusiasm for e.g. Ultimate Frisbee and the like is not only because I hate being exhausted, but also because I hate disappointing my team members, no matter whether or not I like them. So, for each failure to, say, intercept a frisbee, I feel crappy.)

Yeah, written tests. You don't need any preparation for the fitness tests where any bad grade the teacher gives you could count as discrimination. >_>

You should be grateful to forced outside.
With all due respect, that's ridiculous. If I were concerned about being pasty and weak I would go out in the sun of my own volition; I don't need the Health Authority to take care of me if I don't wish to take care of myself. Not to mention that (a) running around almost continuously under the glare of the morning sun in 80-100 degree weather is one of the least healthy things you can do and (b) those of us on accutane are forced to wear sunblock, but if we sweat through it on account of the great sums of unusual effort and the horrible heat, we risk screwing our skin more than it already is. PE makes no allowances for this because it's rare that any bureaucratic health measure is light-handed enough to give a damn about the details.

Pushups I haven't done in a hell of a long time - bench kinda eliminated them.
Situps I hate more than anything. It's not the situps themselves - my abs are ok - but my legs cramp up after like 25 so it's really lame. I can do them if they're under like a sofa or something, but those benches with the 2 leg holder things hurt too much.
No one mentioned squats - those pwn. You go up in weight so quickly if you do them, but I don't have a gym where I can do them anymore since school's over, so those are put off until college in a month.
