So I got into a car accident and practically destroyed my car.

I was attempting to exit a side street to go left, which involved crossing two lanes of cars going right. The exit here is further complicated by the fact that you can't see any cars coming until they're right there, or at least I didn't see anything.

So I drove out to cross those lanes, and as I was doing so, a car appeared heading in my direction. I pushed down the accelerator as well as I could, expecting him to swerve away from me; in that way I would have evaded him.

But instead he swerved in the direction I was going.

He inevitably hit me, knocking the car forward into a lamppost in the process. We were both relatively unharmed, although his lip was bleeding and both our knees were sore.

I ended up getting a $75 ticket for failure to yeild and now I have no car. =(

I got you beat, last november was headed to pick my nephews up from school. Was stopped at a stop sign started to go next thing I know a emt is shakin me asking me if I was ok.

I was t-boned on the passager side hit my head on the drivers side door seal blacked out an some how hit the gas hard an kept going even after being t-boned. I ran over a stop sign and hit a large oak tree head on. My full size truck was totaled. I got really lucky if it wasn't for god and the facts that I was wearing my seatbelt and the fact I am a big guy and like my steering wheel in my lap almost i might not have lived.

This one time I was driving an old company truck up to the Eisenhower tunnel and had to slow down up the hill past Georgetown. This thing is a white '92 Dodge Ram with like five million miles on it or something. A truck pulled out into the fast lane to try and pass an even slower truck, making everyone slam on their brakes. I hear this screeching behind me and see a little green Toyota with a cloud of smoke trailing it, then feel a slight tap. We both pull over, I have a green mark where the paint from the car hit the bumper, but no damage at all. His radiator was bent inward and the hood was bent upward so it couldn't close, the headlights were busted and the bumper was now bent downward onto the road. Since it's a government vehicle we had to call the state troopers. Turns out that this guy was so anxious to just get away from the accident because he was already on parol for identity theft and got deported to Mexico the next week. He showed the troopers the most lame fake ID you could possibly make, but at least it had a real picture. It just had "COLORADO" on the top of it, didn't match the design for any driver's license for the state ever and was made of very flimsy cardboard, like a business card. But since it was a government vehicle, it's self insured, so it's not on my record. But the time I backed into a Lexus with the same truck is a different story...
