| Level: 30 Legend | Ok, so I just saw the movie and, to state it bluntly, it sucked complete ass. Then I read the plot summary on wiki on it and realized that I should have just read that instead. While I was watching, it seemed that the directors had no idea what was going on and to cover their incompetence, they'd randomly make the scene dark and add screams and doors opening. That took up about 30% of the film - darkness and doors. The other 30% was taken up by unfocused over-the-shoulder shots or fuzzy lights. After I read the plot summary, it was actually fairly well thought out, but it's not something that one would have gotten from seeing the film alone. Plot: 8/10; directing: -9/10; acting: 2/10; special effects: 0.1/10 Overall, I would not recommend seeing the movie in theaters, but if you're bored and have 2 hours to waste, go see it online. ___ "The definition of a hero under Rousseaus definition <- or, in less idiotic terms, Rousseaus definition of a hero |

It's not like this is a surprise. ___ ~ Ogordemir ~ "The sciences have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age." ~ H.P Lovecraft, The Call of Cthulhu |

| Level: 44 DSB Moderator | Ah. I still haven't even seen the first one. Actually, I haven't seen a single horror movie in years. Mainly because the genre has drifted away from the grass roots "horror" and gone into "let's make them puke if they watch it!" with scenes that are designed not to horrify but disgust. --- "I am Paper. | Level: 44 DSB Moderator | What? I just think that horror movies should contain horror, not cheap spooks here and there mixed with tons of gore. --- "I am Paper. Rock is fine. Nerf Scissors." |

| Level: 51 Juggernaut, bitch. | Following the natural progression of horror movies, I expect that the Next Saw movie will be Saw In Space. ~~ Burgess [Z?] http://blog.myspace.com/burgess51 I smell like smoke because I have walked through fire. |

| Level: 44 DSB Moderator | Yeah, aren't the Saw movies annual? Seems like they always come out around Halloween. --- "I am Paper. Rock is fine. Nerf Scissors." |

| Level: 30 Legend | lol @ space idea. Horror movies have taken a shitty turn, but then again, today's audience doesn't appreciate horror for unknown conclusions and implications - they need to see the blood and guts ripped out to be scared. Stuff like the Twilight Zone is recognized anymore. I do however like the spoofs on horror movies (NOT Scary Movie 1-9023482340234234234: those got way too lame and old too soon) like Shawn of the Dead (pretty awesome film - 9/10). But yea, Saw V promises to be quite lame as well. ___ "The definition of a hero under Rousseaus definition <- or, in less idiotic terms, Rousseaus definition of a hero |

| Level: 30 Legend | Hmm, I didn't know it was that bad. Glad I didn't see it then. But the space movies were kinda lamish in theory, but it seems like an interesting idea for Saw in space lol. --- Now! This is it! Now is the time to choose!
