| Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | New Computer Mass Effect That was it, understandably due to the major purchase that is a computer, but I think I win by a mile. Edit: And House Season 3. Played Mass Effect for like 7 hours straight last night, and stopped only because my mom had to get the house ready for guests. <3 it so far. --- "What is the greatest threat facing us now? | Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | A revision. Xbox 360 Go Pro Holiday edition (Comes with Forza 2 and Marvel Ultimate Alliance, which is a pretty crap game.) $80.00 total in gift cards to Futureshop. New Shirts. New Shorts. New pair of jeans. LOTS of new socks. (Which is good; I go through socks like crazy.) A computer game called Scratches. | Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | While I admittedly only played Halo 3 for about two hours with my brother, Mass Effect wins. Granted, Halo 3's quality is supposedly in its online multiplayer. Mass Effect is just badass. Actually, from my times playing them (Halo 3 - 2 hours or so, Mass Effect - Game time says 14h, but it's more, I've died a great deal of times), Mass Effect may have better combat. >_> --- "What is the greatest threat facing us now? | Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | Mass Effect is good, but not "ZOMG! Y DUN U OWN IT!?!?!" great :P Get to Virmire yet? Virmire -> End of the Game is so ****ing epic. I admit that for the majority of the game you don't feel overwhelmed/overimpressed, but it still manages to be awesome despite this, and Virmire may just be the greatest place I've been in a game in a long time. Once you get to Virmire everything just becomes ridiculously epic. Also, you say combat is annoying, what class did you pick? I hear a lot of people saying that classes like Vanguard can be annoying for first-playthroughs because you're stuck to Pistols and Shotguns, which don't become awesome until later on in the game. Apparently Soldier is just ridiculous to playthrough, because Assault Rifles pwn. I wouldn't know though, played Infiltrator on my first (Paragon) run using Pistols, and now on a Vanguard run with Shotgun. If I'm up for a third run it'll probably be Soldier, if only because it'll be on Insanity Difficulty. --- "What is the greatest threat facing us now? People will say its terrorism. | Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | Don't get me wrong, it's a good game, and I'm not that far, but. It's been hovering around "Good" so far. I just completed Ferros. And going about the galaxy doing random missions. No idea what I've completed, currently watching TV. [Spoiler for Mass Effect, click to show] As for class, I just picked Soldier. Seemed the easiest for a beginner. My biggest irk is how crappy the Sniper Rifle is. That thing is almost impossible to aim; even crouched. <-> Common sense these days is about as common as Gold being hidden inside your ass. - Me. | Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | Have many points do you have in Sniper? Upgrades to Stability will help too. I've seen claims that maxed out can get it to basically hold still but I never got it that far. I just dealt with the shaking. And ah... Feros. My least favorite of the mission critical planets. Not to say it's bad, just my least favorite. Just beat it early morning/afternoon today on my Renegade file. ****ing Asari Slaves and their statis spam which lets all the Thorian Creepers gank me. =( Seriously, statis is evil, at least it is here on Hardcore difficulty, where one Thorian acid spit can nearly one-shot you. Sure, you can't be harmed during statis, but no rules against them all running next to you to wait for it to end. And of course my biotics user's lift and throw are on cooldown, and Garrus... bless his heart, is unable to do anything for me... besides help my other ally block me from running away. =( --- "What is the greatest threat facing us now? | Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | When I got to the part about the Thorian, and it's Thorian creepers... The whole thing screamed Halo. >_> And. XD If this is a glitch, it's AWESOME. | Level: 49 Liberal Arts Major | XD Yeah, I think the corpse stick is a glitch, but yes, an awesome one. And yeah, the Thorian was rather Gravemind-ish, I wouldn't compare it to the Overmind, because the Zerg had a fair bit of diversity. The Flood do too, but not nearly as much. --- "What is the greatest threat facing us now? People will say its terrorism.
