As far as I know, handshakes are done in the following order:
-Age takes precedence, so the older person presents the hand and not the younger.
-A woman presents the hand to a man.
-A manager presents the hand to an employee (same as professor to students, which also usually follows the first point)
Is that the same in the US/how you know it to be?

The way I learned and know it, is the younger/inferior (Inferior as in an Employee, or a student. Wasn't sure which one to use, Inferior seemed right) one offers their hand FIRST as a sign of respect.
