Seven and a half hours into it and I'm past the magnet cave and just got my ass handed to me by a flaming kitty. The game's not too hard, but if it doesn't like you for whatever reason it will kick you to death. Hell, I lost the very first actual battle that I had in the game. Fucking birds petrified me.

PS magnet cave was easy as hell. Went through it with Cecil magnetized the whole time lul.

yeah magnet cave was pretty easy actually, it's just annoying since Cecil can't equip bows in this game

also bosses take more strategy now, but <3 being able to use status effects on them

I'm trying so hard to get this game, but my parents are on vacation. but they came back today!

I remember them days of the magnetic cave. thank god for Yang. damn guy can fight naked >:(

and they took his bow ability away? that sucks. but i never fought anything in that cave anyway unless Yang was super ass strong.

well, Cid still has his Wooden Hammer, and Tellah has his spells, and Yang can use claws.

it's just Cecil that is useless/White Mage. <_<

luckily you don't have to fight the boss while magnetized

So I kind of noticed this before and can't remember if the original was like this, but is it just me or is this one of the poorest RPGs. I mean, like does it take for-fucking-ever to get money? It's not even that you have to grind to get levels, you just have to grind your ass off to be able to afford anything.

Yeah Burgess, I know what you're talking about

But then right after the Magnetic Cave you get like 50K Gold from a chest in that one castle and you're never poor again for the rest of the game

Like I have 120K right now, at LV 48 or so. Even after buying Diamond equip and shit.

Decided to put myself on hold for buying this game. i just hope i don't regret it in the future.

As much as a Final Fantasy 4 freak i am for this, i gotta get other games out of my mind right now. damn PS3 and WoW. >_>

On a side note, i never bothered with buying stuff in the game with most of my money. i realized the only time money becomes a major factor is~

[Spoiler for FFIV, click to show]you go to the Tower underground after getting Rydia.

Also, i make it a good habit of leveling only one character at certain times in the game. mainly Yang, Rydia and Rosa. especially Rydia. she becomes sick when leveled up enough. >.>

Though it's hard having all the members dead just so you can make Rydia hog all of their exp ;_;
