I was #2 on the leaderboard with two matches to go. I had Cloud > Snake and then Link > Cloud. The guy who was #1 had Snake > Cloud. My picks were pretty much considered sure things.
Needless to say, Snake > Cloud happened, and now Link > Snake is happening.
So yeah.

I am aware of that, but you have to realize that in the 2006 contest, a similar match happened, and Snake struggled to beat Sephiroth, and couldn't even TOUCH Cloud.
Point being, it isn't like I was leading in round 1 after five matches, I was leading with two matches to go, that many people (myself included) considered the most obvious matches in the whole contest. <_<
Again, not trying to make excuses, I clearly failed, just... clarifying, and trying to rationalize it, I guess.
Oh, like those basketball prediction tables?
