On tonight's episode:

-An immoral patient? Cameron having moral dilemmas about whether to treat him? Outstanding. It's like we're really back in season 2.

-House isn't allowed to run his division but ends up running his division anyway.

-Foreman somehow got his girlfriend to forgive him for firing her, then blew it anyway. The two of them are collectively the dumbest character ever.

-Chase threatens to kick a brutal dictator's ass.

-Wacky subplot! House abuses a jerk but in the end everything is okay! It's like the Tritter arc, but with a lot less facepalming.

-Cameron kills a patient, good job Cameron! Chase kills a patient, oh my god you monster! There's no justice in the world.

Your thoughts, TFN?

The subplot was awesome. But I have to say that this dual topic posting at the same time is fucking creepy as all hell.

-An immoral patient? Cameron having moral dilemmas about whether to treat him? Outstanding. It's like we're really back in season 2.

Cameron has a moral dilemma about waking up in the morning. It's part of her characterization! Her character being poorly written and fairly stupid is just something we should come to expect, repeated plot clones or not. Plus, they referenced Acceptance in this episode, so at least they know they're reusing old plot lines!

I'm not sure if that's a good thing.

-House isn't allowed to run his division but ends up running his division anyway.

Ultimately it was Foreman who was around to make the Big Call of Death, so House had nothing to do with the division when it actually mattered. Besides, it's unlikely that a person as charismatic and apparently intellectually superior to the team as he is would be unable to control the team's opinions.

-Foreman somehow got his girlfriend to forgive him for firing her, then blew it anyway. The two of them are collectively the dumbest character ever.

I don't know, the Taub-Hadley-Kutner-Foreman combo may be dumber based solely on shear numbers. Plus, they managed to ruin whole seasons; Foreman and 13's stupid-ass subplot has thus far ruined only a couple of episodes.

-Chase threatens to kick a brutal dictator's ass.

I'm not sure Chase could even take Cameron.

-Wacky subplot! House abuses a jerk but in the end everything is okay! It's like the Tritter arc, but with a lot less facepalming.

It didn't remind me of the Tritter arc at all, though this may be because I had blotted that mess out of my mind. It wasn't bad, though it took liberties with believability.

-Cameron kills a patient, good job Cameron! Chase kills a patient, oh my god you monster! There's no justice in the world.

You get one free kill. Chase already used his.

Overall, I did not hate this episode, though I could have done without 13... or Foreman... or Cameron... or the patient. Chase reaffirms himself as one of the best characters, Foreman reaffirms himself as a toddler who likes to yell and scream before retiring to his crib to work in some much-needed thumb-sucking, House reaffirms himself as a crazy, Wilson reaffirms himself as worthless, Cameron reaffirms herself as a dead end, etc. Factor in the oddly familiar plot and ignore 13 (hard to do, but not impossible!) and it's like we've already seen this episode before.

My "outstanding" was actually sincere, not sarcastic. >_>

1. XD
But 2. Taub and to a lesser extent Kutner are positive numbers, however small.

When was this?

(Unless you're counting The Mistake.)

It shouldn't have been. Season 2 sucked. Stacy.

Really? Kutner seemed like a throw-away character more often than not (the only notable character development they bothered to do with him was with the death cat and then after he died as well) whereas Taub was just irritating. The subplot with his wife, his looking for another job, etc., it was all just arggggh. To me his only value was that, relative to 13 and Foreman, I did not hate his screen time.

(Unless you're counting The Mistake.)

I am. He got a hearing or two, some drama, and a slap on the wrist. Cameron didn't get any of that because she had the good sense to kill somebody who was asking for it.

Also, it should be noted that this was the first time this season I preferred House to Heroes. Though this isn't much praise; Heroes has become self-parody.
