Haven't seen a topic on House in a long time.

I started watching again this season.

I bailed on it a few seasons ago. I don't regret it!

My parents still watch it and I have nothing to do other than things that require effort so I also watch it. It is horrible. I sometimes have to meditate in order to muster up the will to watch it several days after it's aired.

It's picking up this season, though. Cuddy was making it worse than it actually is. By being a horrible character. Now nothing makes sense and there's a great deal of annoyance, but Olivia Wilde is gone too and sometimes it's funny!

I stopped watching it once I realized that A) it had basically become an entirely different show and B) it was not likely to change back at any point in the near future.

No regrets whatsoever.

Any regrets would be unjustified.

The new season is pretty good. Of course I say that without actually having not seen the last 2-3 seasons. >_>

This past episode was hilarious. (Any episode where House gets socked is a riot)

Apparently the most recent episode referenced Arceus. Nerds!

...
Is it even pronounced Ar-See-Us?

I thought it was pronounced Ar-Kay-Us

Edit: I didn't even catch that. >_>

Then again, I was playing World of Warcraft at the time, so I wasn't paying very much attention.

It's an English word, so <c> before <e> is pronounced /s/. This is consistent with the Japanese name, which can be romanized <Aruseusu> /arseus/.

EDIT: Though to be pronounced according to the Japanese word, it would be /arseius/ "Ar-Say-OOs", but this defies standard English orthography and syllable reduction/accentuation. So, in short, Hugh Laurie did it right.

EDIT 2: Apparently the edit dialogue interprets character encoding poorly.

For some reason, that sounds weird to me. >_>
Ar-Kay-Us or Ar-Kee-Us sounds better.
