If I recall correctly, the poll system itself has a timer (though it only changes when I log in). Every time it changes, the timer is reset, but that's the only time that happens.
So if Poll A runs for a month, it should change as soon as someone adds another poll to the queue and I log in.

It's supposed to change by itself - there's no option to change it manually except by going through the database, which is lame.

I sent in feedback myself regarding a critic review that is linked to on GameFAQs that is completely inaccurate and full of absolute horseshit that isn't even true. This is what I got back from Feedback:

We can't fix their site, and the reviews are part of GameRankings' system, not ours.
... I never asked them to fix CheatCC because it's an unfixable piece of crap of a website and I fail to see how the link can't be removed from the Review page at GameFAQs itself regardless of them taking reviews from GameRankings. It really is fucking laziness in the feedback system.

The reason non-DSBers and non-MBAers can't access those boards is I made a little field in the users table that says "DSB yes/no" or "MBA yes/no" and then I check those fields on gentopic.php and genmessage.php when the appropriate board getdata is sent. Like a boss.
I never asked them to fix CheatCC because it's an unfixable piece of crap of a website and I fail to see how the link can't be removed from the Review page at GameFAQs itself regardless of them taking reviews from GameRankings.
It's possible that the links are culled automatically by the system, in which case you'd have to go into the code to add a special exception and nobody's going to do that.

Another totally unrelated question. Every now and then TFN likes to refuse to load/load really slowly (sometimes the "script processed" timer at the bottom will be around/over 10 seconds). Is that a "just me" thing or is it happening to everyone? Used to think it was the latter because my computer was probably dying, but now I have a new one and it was doing it a bit before (though I think it's seemed better recently). Just trying to figure out if the problem is my end (I'd believe it) or something we're all experiencing. I usually use GameFAQs as a sanity check to see if it's loading any slower too, but I figured I'd ask.

Well, yeah. That's possible too. My main issue with the feedback is the way the response just acted like I was retarded and asking them to do something about that site when it completely wasn't. I was actually more so just asking if anything could be done about removing it and the second half of the feedback without the first or even in a more explanatory fashion would have sufficed.

This happens to be me, but my log-in also triggers the cron hack that makes all poll queue, karma, etc. work correctly, and that involves fetching and processing a ton of records. Time-consuming stuff. This should only be happening for me, though. Do you ever get any errors at the top of the screen while the page is loading? (One of the cron files has some issues that don't matter and aren't worth fixing, but whenever it loads it spits out a couple of SQL errors.)

It's absolutely shocking, but believe it or not there actually was. There actually was a time where I was able to get feedback issues handled properly, it was in the majestic fantasy era of 2006. I'm even pretty sure I saw a Unicorn.
